Chapter 8
My mother panicked and desperately signaled me.
I couldn’t bear it anymore and said to her, “Mom, if you don’t welcome me, I can leave. You don’t have to disgust me in this way.”
“I didn’t… Coral, I…”
Before she could explain, Tturned and walked away.
Anker hurriedly came out after me, he grabbed my arm directly and said softly, “Coral, calm down, I came here today to resolve the misunderstandings between us. I had a bad attitude before, and I apologize to you. Can you forgive me?”
I turned around and sneered coldly, “You deserve it?
“Anker, you really make me feel disgusted now. How you and Laura messed around is none of my business, but please don’t come in the way of my eyes anymore, it’s really annoying.”
“But I really have nothing to do with Laura! I just treat her as a sister, I used to live in the same room with her because if I didn’t live with her, she would have to live with other men.”
I didn’t know how messed up their circle was before, until someone exposed it online later, I found out.
And that was exactly why I couldn’t tolerate it anymore.
“So, you know what the hidden truth is, yet you still want to get involved. When I questioned, you said I wronged you. Tell me then, what should I do? Pretend that nothing happened?”
At this point, his face turned slightly pale. When he did these things without any scruples before, he was sure that I wouldn’t leave him.
But now, I decisively broke up with him and took practical actions, and he started to panic.
What was the point of such an apology?
“Enough, I think you and Laura would be a good match. She knows you well, so you two should be together and stop harming innocent people.”
With that, I didn’t want to say anything more
After leaving, my mother kept calling, but I didn’t answer any of the calls.
I didn’t even reply to any of her text messages.
As she kept standing by other’s side and ignored me in front of others one more time, she was already dead in my heart.
I would fulfill my duty as a child and give her my living expenses on time every
month.

That was all I could do.
The company didn’t want to let me go, and the manager had talked to me times.

I firmly expressed my attitude each time, and I even angered him in the end.
He gave me a confidentiality agreement and looked down on me, saying, “You sign this, and I’ll approve your resignation.”
His agreement was nothing more than preventing me from pursuing the matter of plagiarism.
If it were someone else, they would sign it without hesitation in order to leave here. But I didn’t. I searched for ways to file a labor arbitration in front of him.
“No need, stick to your ideas, and don’t approve my resignation.”
Now, the manager was panicking, desperate to grab my phone.
Just then, Laura, who had come to deliver some documents, walked in. The manager’s face turned red with anger and he shouted, “Laura, help me restrain her!”
Laura quickly realized what was happening and reached out to grab my arm.
I slapped her hard across the face, leaving her dazed.
Laura covered her burning cheek in disbelief, looking at me. “You… you hit me?” “Hitting you is no big deal. Do I need to pick a special day for it?”
