Chapter CHAPTER 6

Chapter 6
At that moment, I suddenly remembered when I was sketching the outline, Anker was right beside me. He even gave me some suggestions.
He knew that I had worked for two or three sleepless nights to finalize the outline. But now, he was secretly giving away the fruits of my hard work.
I was very angry, so I immediately called Anker after leaving the manager’s office. He answered the phone and said, “I’m busy now. If you want to talk, come to my company.”
He hung up the phone immediately after saying this.
I urgently wanted to ask him for an explanation, so I hurriedly went to see him after taking a leave.
When I arrived at his company, he had just finished his work.
When he saw me, a smug expression appeared in his eyes, as if saying, “See, as long ast I beckon, you will eagerly come over.”
“Are you here to apologize? Be more serious about your attitude and I’ll consider forgiving you,” he said with a straight face, a smug smile on his lips.
I glared at him with cold eyes, getting straight to the point, “You gave Laura the drawing draft, didn’t you?”
At this, his smug expression was slightly stifled, and a hint of guilt flashed in his eyes. But he quickly regained his composure.
“She was so badly bullied by you, so this will be your atonement. You don’t have to apologize to her,” he said.
This was truly amusing.
“Anker, your worldview is really impressing me. I had no idea you were such a person.”
I looked at him with disgust.
Anker was stung by my gaze and became annoyed. “I thought you would realize your mistake, but it seems you still haven’t changed your ways. Is it fun to argue with me like this?”
He was still the same, completely oblivious to his own problems.
He always liked to blame everything on others.
Or maybe he did it on purpose because he didn’t love me, so he treated me with an indifferent attitude.
I looked at him and said firmly, “I won’t give up on this matter so easily. What’s mine is mine.

“And if it’s not mine, I don’t want it.”
After saying that, I turned and left.
Anker, however, hurriedly caught up with me, as if it was my previous words that made him feel anxious, and his attitude had softened somewhat.
“Come on, Coral. Let’s just forget about it. You’re so talented. This small competition means nothing to you, but it could be everything to someone else,” he said.
“Does it have anything to do with me? Am I her mother that I have to accommodate everything for her?”
“Do you really have to be so rude? I’ve already said that I only regard Laura as my sister. It’s your own imagination that’s running wild,” he said.
As soon as he finished speaking, the sound of Laura’s delighted voice could he heard! coming from outside the office.
“Anker, I’ve brought you lunch,” she said happily as she pushed the door open and! entered the office.
However, when she saw me, the smile on her face faded away instantly, and she put on a fake smile, “Hi, Coral.”
laughed coldly and looked at Anker sarcastically, “Your sister is here, so I’ll leave you two alone.”
Laura’s smile almost disappeared because of those words.
It seemed that she had heard our conversation earlier.
Anker’s face didn’t look good either.
She glared at me with resentment, trying to force a smile, “Coral, I made a lot of food. Would you like to eat with us?”
“No, seeing the two of you makes me feel sick and nauseous,” I said.
