When I woke

up, I found myself in the hospital.

I touched my flat stomach, a tear trickling down.

The nurse came to change my bandages, seeing that I was awake, and couldn’t help but console me.

“Ms. Fisher, don’t be too sad. You’re still young, you’ll have more children.”

I shook my head, remaining silent.

Only I knew that my children didn’t want me anymore. I wasn’t a good mother, so they all abandoned me.

As the nurse left, Rick entered the room.

His steps were heavy, his clothes unchanged from that day, bloodstains on the sleeves. now dry, his unkempt appearance reflecting days of neglect.

“Now are you happy? You’ve destroyed our two children yourself!”

Rick covered his face, tears streaming down.

“Lisa, it’s my fault, it’s all my fault. That wasn’t my intention. I love you, and I love our children.”

I slowly closed my eyes, feeling a wave of exhaustion wash over me.

“Rick, what’s the point of saying all this now? Alex is gone, and the child in my belly is gone too,” I replied.

Rick gripped my hand tightly.

“Lisa, please give me another chance. I’ll make it up to you for the rest of my life.”

I pulled my hand away, looking up at him emotionlessly.

“Rick, let’s get a divorce.”

Rick shook his head in panic.

“No, I don’t agree.”

Rick stubbornly refused to agree to a divorce, lingering in the hospital room until my parents finally chased him out.

Jenny, now completely blacklisted from the industry due to the live-streaming. incident, was burdened with hefty breach of contract fines.

The court ruled that Jenny had to return half of the donations for her daughter’s case. Due to my willingness to divorce, Rick repeatedly assured me that he would stay far

from Jenny and wouldn’t involve himself in her affairs at all.

away

I took the opportunity to have Rick sign an agreement, ensuring he would leave with nothing if he ever cheated.

Rick’s guilt towards me had reached its peak, so without hesitation, he signed and notarized the agreement.

Jenny panicked completely because she couldn’t reach Rick, and no one was there to

the mess for her.

Unable to contact Rick, Jenny came directly to me.

“Lisa, what will it take for you to forgive me?”

Jenny demanded angrily, tearing off her facade in the cafe.

“Unless Alex can come back to life,” I replied calmly, taking a sip of coffee.

Jenny slammed the table, wide-eyed and furious.

“Lisa, that’s an impossible demand.”

I shrugged.

“So, if you want me to forgive you, I’ll only do so when I’m dead.”

Jenny said, glaring at me with hatred, “Why are you so cruel, Lisa? You should have died with your daughter in front of your son’s grave.

“Rick doesn’t love you at all. Now that you’ve lost your children, why cling to him?”

I chuckled, “Jenny, has Rick answered your calls lately? Has he visited your daughter? Don’t you understand? The one who is cling is Rick?”

Jenny was taken aback, disbelief written on her face.

I stood up, leaning in close to her ear.

“Shall we make a bet? Is the unattainable woman from his youth more important to him, or is the woman that has been by his side for years more significant?”

If Jenny could use her means to win over Rick, the divorce would become much simpler.
