Sasha Swift 2 late to Die

Chapter 7

Sasha

Darkness. It’s all I can see or well can’t see, I’m blindfolded. I try to move my body but my hands are tied. It’s cold and metal. Definitely handcuffs. I remain calm so I can focus. I start imagining the sun. The glow forming in my hands.

But nothing happens. My hands don’t even warm up. I sigh in defeat. Whoever took me is smarter than I give them credit for. They placed some magical handcuffs on me preventing me from using my fae power.

I wiggle my toes and notice one of my legs is free and the other has a chain around my ankle. But for some odd reason, they took my shoes. I reached down and feel my body as good as I can with my hands cuffed together. To my surprise, someone has changed my clothes.

I rip my blindfold off to see I'm in shorts and a cotton shirt. I shiver thinking of the creep who changed me. I put my knees up to my chest and wonder if anyone knows I am missing. Surely someone noticed I was gone from the wedding.

The wedding! Memories of the day flash through my brain. Vampires attacked, Queen Merda was killed and me running away from Zane. I lean my head back against the cement wall. Realization hits me.

Nobody is coming for me. I’m on my own. I hear footsteps and hurry and stand up. The large metal door swings open. Whoever is here to kill me is going to have a challenge because I won’t go down without a fight.

“You’re up good. I thought-”

My left leg flies up and kicks the body in front of me. It makes contact and the guy groans and backs away from my reach. His voice is deep and husky. Reminds me of Zane.

He is at least 6′2. He looks muscular under his gray cotton shirt. His arms are covered in tattoos. His age is approximately twenty-five. He is handsome and not what I would picture my kidnapper as. Maybe he is an old one-night stand. No, I would remember this hunk.

“You kicked me! Apparently, the drugs weren’t strong enough as I thought. Guess I have to tie up both your legs.”

I smile. “They weren’t. Now tell me why did you take me? Are you working for the black witch?”

He laughs and I frown. I don’t think my question was that funny. “Oh, Jewel. No, I work for myself. I’m not much of a team player. No, I took you for my own vengeance.” He answers.

I am seething. “Vengeance? For what? I kill your precious friends or girlfriend? Whoever it was I want you to know I killed them with a smile on my face!”

He laughs again. My eyebrow shoots up. What is with this guy laughing at everything I say? I’m not that funny trust me.

“If not that then what did I do? Tell me now!” I’m pissed and done playing games. “Tell me.” I repeat.

Whoever he is steps closer to me. He grabs my chin roughly. Hazel angry eyes stare back at me. He takes a step back before I can strike again. “I’m not sure what he sees in you.” He whispers as he circles around me and I make sure to watch his every move. “Hmm, you're pretty though. That will make this a little difficult. I haven't been with a woman in a long time and you're fairy blood is tempting.”

I'm shocked. How does he know about me being part fairy only the royal council knew but they're all dead except for Malachi king of the werewolves but he went into hiding. Nobody knows where he is. I'm also disgusted if he tries to touch me I'll kill him.

He sighs. "I won't touch you though. Zane would know and I really don't want him finding you yet."

How does he know Zane? Did he take me because of him? What is going on?

“Apologies I never introduced myself. I’m Jonah. You’re beloved is my brother. But this conversation won’t matter. Once I get what I want you’ll be dead.”
