REVENGE OF THE BETRAYED WOLF

Chapter Chapter thirty-five

Damara received the news that three children had arrived at the manor. She wasted no time in rushing to the manor house. Once there, she climbed the stairs, feeling a pressure in her heart. In the corridor, she spotted Lucia at the entrance to the room and, unable to contain her impatience, she asked.

"Where are they? I want to see them.

"They're resting, Madame.

Cautiously, Damara opened the bedroom door, walked over to the bed and her gaze fell on the children's faces. An excited smile instantly lit up her face, for there was no doubt: these were her grandchildren.

The man's features reminded her of the image of her own son when he was just an infant asleep in her arms. Upset, Damara approached and settled into an armchair in front of the window, waiting patiently for the children to wake up. Métis was the first to open her eyes, and like a spring she sat up, remembering Boox and Nero. She was about to stand up when a gentle voice stopped her short:

"Hello, beautiful."

Following the melodious voice, Metis turned to discover a gray-haired lady looking at her with a warm smile.

"Hello, I'm going with my friends Boox and Nero. They must be hungry," he stammered.

"A friend is looking after them. You'd better come and sit with me and talk a bit."

"No, madame, I must go and see them," his little face showed naive concern, "please, I must go and see my friends, they need me."

Damara saw the anguish in Metis's eyes and felt her heart race. Her granddaughter's call rang in her ears and she couldn't resist. She rose from her chair and approached the child, taking her hand gently and saying tenderly. "Come, I'll take you to your friends."

Together they left the room, saw Lucia outside, Damara approached her and said.

"Keep an eye on the kids. I'm going to take this little cutie to see her little friends."

Lucia nodded, making sure no one disturbed the children. She was looking out for the children's safety. She watched Damara and Metis walk away down the corridor, out of sight.

Damara climbed down the stairs, clinging to the railing and treading carefully, while Metis found it amusing that he was looking after her. Together, they advanced towards the exit of the majestic mansion, and on the way, Metis heard Boox growl.

"Come on, Boox is upset." Métis tried to quicken her pace, even though her little legs wouldn't let her, she did her best. When she reached the back of the mansion, she saw a pale man with his hands in the air, shouting to his friends that he just wanted to feed them. She found the scene so amusing that she let out a small, happy laugh as she said to him.

"With that panicked look on your face, you're not going to attract any attention."

The girl approached Boox and hugged him affectionately. Then, with signs, she asked the huge orc.

"Boox, what's wrong with you?"

Boox, with expressive gestures and hand gestures, indicated that they were worried and just waiting for them to show up. "What did he say to you?" asked Dionisio, visibly bewildered and in a cold sweat, "By the way, Princess, I'm your Uncle Dionisio. "I'm Métis. They've just been worried by us, don't be afraid of them, they're good friends."

Dionysus relaxes at Métis's comforting words.

"We have a cabin for them to rest and eat. That's what I've been trying to tell them, but they won't budge."

Métis looked tenderly at the orcs and signaled that it was time to eat and rest.

"They're tired, let's take them out to eat," Metis said gently, stroking the rough faces of her friends.

Everyone present was amazed at how submissive the grotesque, surly-looking orcs were to the little she-wolf. Damara took Metis's hand and, together, they followed Dionysus to the hut for Boox and Nero, who now walked calmly and obediently behind them.

Meanwhile, back at the hut, everyone was waiting for news of the children. Freya, ready to venture into the forest with other wolves, was about to leave when Isis stopped her. She was receiving a call from Apollo and they decided to listen to what she had to say.

"Hello, Isis, I think the naughty boys have arrived."

Isis gave a great sigh of joy, looked at Freya and looked at her anxiously and asked.

"Where are my puppies?"

Isis moved the horn a little to the side to tell her.

"Those vermin have reappeared. Let Apollo tell me, and we'll go looking for them." He resumed the call: "Tell me. Where are they?".

"I was guarding the entrance to the manor, and word among the guards is that three children on two orcs have arrived from the forest side, asking for Crono. These children are under the protection of the alpha."

"We are on our way, and these two beasts will also receive their punishment. They have already stopped obeying me to follow the mischievous Metis."

"For you see, my friend, this little one is more skilful than you. If you're careless, these Orcs will only obey Metis."

Isis bursts out laughing and, looking at her friend, continues the call.

"Freya is the one who's going to get hurt, she's going to have Orcs as pets for her children. Thanks guys, we'll get ready and head over there, keep us posted," he hung up.

Freya, her eyes full of worry, faced the shocking news Isis had given her.

"What have Apollo and my children told you?" she asks, her voice trembling. Anguish gnaws at her.

"I've got good news and bad news for you."

Freya looks at her worriedly, prompting Isis to continue.

"The good news is that those leeches are fine. The bad news is that they've come straight to Apka Manor and are with their father."

A shiver ran down Freya's spine as she imagined the situation. She sat down abruptly on a chair. Her mind was working at full throttle as she tried to comprehend reality. "At this point, Crono knows he's a father, but doesn't even think he's going to keep my children," she thought furiously as Phoenix floated inside her. He stood up abruptly, looking confidently at Isis.

"Come on, get us ready to leave. I don't want my children anywhere near Palas's harpy any longer. He glanced at his father: "Dad, thank you for being with me right now. I think it's time for you to go join the herd."

"Puppy, how can you think I won't come with you? I'll go with you. I promise not to meddle in your or Crono's affairs. I just want to make sure the puppies are doing well."

"Okay, Dad, let's get ready." Feeling the comforting support, Freya hugged her father gratefully.

Five black vans left the shelter; two carried Freya, Agamemnon and Isis, while the other three carried orcs tasked with guarding them. Freya feared the presence of Pyrrhus on the road.
