Chapter Chapter Five
In his office, Crono, seated in his armchair, is immersed in deep confusion, examining documents. In a low voice, he lets slip his unease.
"What's happened to Freya? I don't understand her radical change of attitude in a year. She should remain obedient and avoid any conflict in this manor," he muttered with a troubled expression. He pushed back the papers and leaned back in his chair, heaving a regret-laden sigh, "Eris should have kept Freya under control, made sure I didn't divulge my relationship with her to her father. At this point, I can't afford to lose Agamemnon's support. I'm in the process of gathering evidence that will prove he's the traitor who caused the death of my beloved Lea."
Crono didn't believe in predestined companions. Three years ago, he had fallen deeply in love with Lea, a she-wolf with a gentle, tender and extremely accommodating personality. At the time, his desire was to defy fate and unite his life with Lea's, conferring on her the prestigious title of Moon of his pack, an honor his father had bestowed on him at the same time, before he died.
But life has a cruel surprise in store for them. One fateful night, the Kelpies invaded their herd, unleashing chaos. In the turmoil of this confrontation with the enemy, Lea tragically lost her life. This misfortune triggered deep bitterness in Crono and sowed the seeds of mistrust in his heart. The need to uncover the truth behind the tragedy that changed his life led him to formulate a sinister plan. Through his daughter, he intended to put Agamemnon through the same suffering he had endured, to make him pay for the actions that had led to Lea's loss.
Dionysus entered the office with a smile on his face. He was Crono's beta and friend, and seeing his friend's expression, he couldn't help but comment.
"My friend, you don't look well. Is your moon putting you in a bad mood?"
"Shut up and come help me with these papers. Don't talk to me about that she-wolf who should be busy with more appropriate tasks, like knitting and keeping quiet. She looks like another she-wolf compared to the sweet, quiet little girl I knew before I was married." replied Crono dryly, clearly annoyed.
"Well, she doesn't look like she's knitting at the moment, because when I arrived, I saw her at the entrance to the manor with three people, then they headed for the warrior training area," he commented, holding back a laugh.
Crono leapt to his feet, shouting with obvious concern.
"What's she doing on the training ground? That she-wolf is hell-bent on driving me crazy." He strode briskly towards the office exit.
Meanwhile, Freya was with Isis, Sienna and Apollo, getting ready to start training. The warriors nodded, astonished that their moon was in a place reserved for wolf-warriors.
The four friends began their training, practicing hand-to-hand combat and honing their skills. They proved adept at handling weapons, particularly swords and daggers. Apollo and Freya engage in hand-to-hand combat.
The warriors sat on the bleachers, stunned by what their eyes could see. They would never have believed that their Luna could fight, and with techniques different from their own. Just then, Crono arrived and was about to intervene, but his friend stopped him. Reluctantly, Crono didn't move forward, preferring to wait until the fight was over. As he watched, he marveled at what his sharp gray eyes perceived. Freya was strong, her movements precise and agile, and she was enveloped in an imposing aura that left him in awe.
Once the exhausting training was over, the four friends shook hands. Laughing and joking, they shared their own skills. However, Crono, looking furious, approached the group.
"Freya, this is no place for a married she-wolf with manners, you shouldn't flaunt yourself like that in front of my warriors. You should be ashamed of making a spectacle of yourself, you shouldn't have come here without my permission. You shouldn't have come here without my permission. What will the warriors think of your Moon? It seems you're only out to cause me headaches."

Freya wondered why he was here. In her previous life, this wolf hadn't even looked at her.
"I didn't know I needed your permission to set foot on the training ground," Freya replied sarcastically, "Shame on you for demanding something of your mistress. Besides, I have no problem with your men seeing that a she-wolf like me, their Luna, knows how to fight too. As you can see, I only came here to train with my friends. I don't think that's a problem," she added defiantly, which made Crono grit his teeth in frustration.
"You're the moon of a pack and have responsibilities to my people; you shouldn't be wasting your time here. Besides, as a married wolf, you should behave yourself and not associate with other men. Your reputation could be tarnished by your actions", said Crono, giving Apollo a murderous look.
Dionysus, for his part, laughed out loud inwardly. He imagined his dear friend would soon be at the feet of his Moon. Just two days ago, Crono had declared that he would always be in love with Lea and would never accept another she-wolf into his heart. He had vowed to make the daughter of the traitor who had caused his beloved's death suffer. However, it seemed that his moon was wreaking havoc on his friend's life.
Apollo wanted to intervene, but Isis shook his hand and motioned with her eyes for him to be quiet.
"Now, do I have any responsibilities towards the herd? As far as I know, your mistress controls the manor's expenses, which are all neglected, by the way, as well as the social work. I train with my friends. Please don't behave like a troglodyte male wolf and allow me to train with my friends here, on your training ground, or I'll find somewhere else to do it."
"You can't threaten me. I'm..."

"Crono, you should think about what you're going to say. You have no choice but to give in to her demands if you want to keep her under control, better to have her kept here than outside the mansion."
Crono inhaled deeply, trying to quell the rage burning inside him. Looking around, he noticed his men standing at attention, wide-eyed, waiting for his reaction. He thought for a second to find the right words. Finally, in a calm voice, he said. "It's okay, you can train here. Your friends can come to the training camp with you, but they'll be under my supervision. Your training is finished for today." He glanced at his warriors, jaw set, "As you can see, my men are in training and have been interrupted by you."
"Don't worry about that, I've already spoken to the leader of your men and I know when the training camp will be inactive," Freya growled, her eyes fixed on her companion.
"Girlfriend, we're leaving. I'll call you later," said Isis.
Freya turned to her friends and said goodbye. Then, without looking at Crono, she turned her back on him and began walking towards the mansion.
"Crono, don't do anything stupid. Try to get along with her. The hard way, you'll only get her contempt. And you know it's not in your best interest right now to spread rumors about the Alpha and the Moon in our area."
Crono clenched his fists as he watched Freya walk away. The words echoed in his mind: "I'm going to punish you for all the trouble you're causing, and nobody's going to save you." He arrogantly turned away and began talking to his men.
