REVENGE OF THE BETRAYED WOLF

Chapter Chapter eighteen

"This is my own father you are judging. If I don't intervene now, I fear you'll lead him straight to his death, while you throw me into exile. I won't allow it!" she cried in annoyance. Her voice resounded with the emotional charge of this tragic episode in her past life.

Crono was surprised by the intensity of her words, reacting with perplexity.

"Where did you get such an idea? Do you consider me such a tyrant as to carry out such actions?"

"You're the worst, Crono! If I hadn't made you doubt my father's guilt, I'd be crying in my room right now, humiliated and abused by your wolves, and I can tell you!" Freya threw out her words with a mixture of contempt and distrust, her eyes sparkling with restrained fury.

Crono, visibly affected by the accusation, squinted. He didn't appreciate being called a tyrant. In a deep, disappointed voice, he said.

"I told you, I don't want you meddling in my affairs. As alpha leader, it's up to me to investigate. You'd better leave. I need to examine these documents."

Despite the contracted jaw she saw on her husband's face, Freya was furious at being ignored. She advanced towards him with the intention of landing a blow, all the while shouting at him.

"What do you intend, Crono, to go against my pack? Do you need to redeem the death of your beloved Lea by condemning the innocent? Or do you want to get rid of your companion so you'll be free when your new love arrives? I won't allow it, this time, I won't allow it." Freya was furious at being ignored by the she-wolf in front of her.

Crono, puzzled by these accusations and feeling challenged, replied firmly.

"Freya, what are you talking about? You're talking nonsense. What kind of love are you talking about? You're testing my patience, and I assure you there will be consequences."

"As if I'm afraid of you," Freya snaps, grabbing the papers off Crono's desk and throwing them to the floor in a defiant gesture, "You can't ignore me. I'm not one of your wolves who does as you command."

Crono's eyes lit up at the sight of her challenge, and he rose from his seat in a single movement. Freya recoiled at the sight, watching Crono's mouth curve into an expression that gave her a mixture of fear and excitement. Before she could react, Crono was quicker, grabbing her by the shoulders and sitting her down on the desk, her hands locked and her legs trapped between his.

"Let me go, Crono!" she cried boldly, challenging him with her eyes. Her voice echoed through the office, "Or I'll scream for the servants to see what a cruel man you are."

"My people already know me and don't meddle in my affairs, besides they've only seen a wild she-wolf who growls and offends me whenever she feels like it." He vociferated with a smirk, keeping her imprisoned, rejecting her pleas. "If you don't let go of me, I'll shove my knee into your crotch and spare your beloved the misfortune of not having offspring with you." His words echoed around the office as he twisted his legs in a desperate attempt to free himself. "A couple of puppies from us, two would be beautiful, don't you think? Their mother is really beautiful," he said, getting lost in those blue eyes that captivated him. Since he'd been with her, he'd found her to be the most beautiful she-wolf he'd ever seen in his life. He brought his lips to hers and kissed her with intensity and anguish, the kiss he had longed for to soothe his torments.

Freya froze; the kiss disturbed her. Despite her desire to surrender to the growing sensation of desire it provoked, she suddenly remembered her plans and blinked several times, shaking her head away from his mouth. After catching her breath, she gasped.

"What did you do, asshole? Don't you ever kiss me again without my consent."

"Freya, remember what I told you back when we were rutting, you're mine and mine alone. And I'll kiss you whenever I want." At that moment, he had an idea to make her more docile, "I have a proposal: if you want me to tell you what I know about the traitors in my region and if you want to clear your father's name, you must allow me to kiss you as my wife," he said, resting his head on her neck and giving her little kisses, which made her shiver. "Don't do that, you've got some nerve!" She puckered her mouth and arched her eyebrows, "You don't deserve my kisses." She gasped and felt a shiver run down her spine as she felt the wet mouth on her neck.

"Since you won't give me my kisses, you won't know the dangers you and your father have been in for years. We have our suspicions about the identity of your pack's traitor, but I won't tell you."

"You! You sly, sly, sly wolf, you got away with it." She swallowed hard and let out a heavy sigh to keep talking, "Okay, just little kisses, but tell me what you know so far." She tried to pull away, but Crono had practically covered her with a long length.

"I want to kiss you any way I want." He spoke up, brushing her cheek with his wet lips.

"No, and especially no! I don't want to kiss you all the time, kisses will only happen when you give me relevant information," she exclaimed, uncertain. This man was upsetting her plans, and she feared her heart would ache for him all over again.

Crono could resist no longer and placed his right hand behind Freya's neck, drawing her to him with passionate intensity. He kissed her for a long time, his tongue exploring the familiar nooks and crannies. A moan escaped Freya's lips, and they both parted for lack of air.

Confused and overwhelmed by the flood of emotions raging in her mind, Freya pushed him with all her might. For a few seconds, she looked at him quizzically, sensing that he was loosening his grip. Then, without a word, she quickly climbed down from the desk and ran out of the room.

Meanwhile, Crono stood there, delighted to have succeeded in making her yield to his kisses. However, despite the satisfaction of holding her in his arms for a few minutes, he was aware that the complications had only just begun. As he touched her and watched her blush, he realized that she had feelings for him too. He stood in the study, his eyes fixed on the door Freya had left, wondering if they would ever be able to talk without arguing and get along like the couples they were destined to be. Even though he knew the road to a harmonious relationship with her would be strewn with pitfalls, he was willing to take the risk of reaching her heart.
