Chapter His Uncle 93
Chapter 93
ALPHA LEO
Numbness washed over me when I heard Luke's words. Was this a joke?
"Luke, how are your with your brother?" I asked in a bid to confirm his words. He had to be joking. It was hard to belief that he could betray me.
He was Luke. The only brother of mine that wished me well. And, I could see through people. Most of this times, I could tell a genuine person from a fake. And, I have always seen Luke as genuine. "Why shouldn't I be with my twin brother?" He asked and then, scoffed.
"Whose side are you on?" I asked.
I frowned at myself. Why was I asking him stupid questions? The answer was very obvious. It was just too hard to come to terms with it.
"Isn't it obvious? I'm on my brother's side. If you haven't gotten the memo yet, I have always been on his side. I just only tricked you all this while to get inside information."
I felt a burning sensation in my heart. He tricked me. I trusted him and he tricked me. Now, for me to stop him, I had to leave my Luna.
I made a fist, stomped over to him but before I could touch him, some warriors tried to stop me. Of course, they could not In less than a minute, they were already on the ground. I glared at Luke, breathing heavily. I continued to take more steps toward him. "You should stop," One of the pack elders and without paying attention to him, I stomped over to Luke, punched his face and pushed him to the ground. He did not fight back. He just remained on the ground and watched me. The pack elders present, shouted at me in disapproval and for me to stop, but I paid no attention to any of them.
Luke on the other hand was still not doing anything. I knew he was doing all this, because I was still Alpha and he did not want to provoke me onto accepting the conditions of the pack elders.
I raised my hand to punch him again, but when before my punch could reach him, someone held my hand. I spun around\ angrily, but when I saw it was my mate, my stare softened. She shook her head in disapproval and I reluctantly moved away from Luke. "He betrayed us," I said, pointing an accusing finger at Luke and Rita took my hand into hers.
"We will get back at him," She said, giving me a reassuring smile and I gave her a small nod.
"Alpha Leo, you were not acting well. As an Alpha, the last thing you should do is to throw punches at a pack member, one of the pack elders said, but I rolled my eyes.
None of them had any right to tell me how to or how not to act
"Why did you do this?" I asked Luke. I was probably dreaming. I trusted Luke. I rarely trust people, but I trusted Luke and he used my trust against me.
"The real question here is why shouldn't I? We might be illegitimate, but we're still the Alpha's sons. We deserve a chance to be Alphas. Since we were not given a chance, we decided to make way for the both of us."
"I thought you were different," I said bitterly and he glared at me
"Different?" He scoffed. "You want me to worship and call you Alpha all my life, but that is not what I want. I want to be called

Alpha too. I want to give orders. I want every single one of my words to stand and I wanted to be able to break rules whenever I wanted to. And, of course, for that to happen, I had to betray you."
83%
"I loved you. I was ready to give you anything you ask for," I said and I meant it. I loved Luke so much that it was hard to come to terms to the fact that he betrayed me. I thought he was the only blood relation alive that loved me, but I thought wrong. None of them loved
me.
"I don't want to ask anybody for anything. I hate begging. I want to get whatever I want myself and for that to happen, I have to be Alpha. So, I planned and plotted with my twin brother Tyler."
Tyler smirked when his brother mentioned his name. "And, we are here, ready to take over from you," Tyler said. "You have to choose between remaining the Alpha of this pack or being a loving mate to the love of your life."
"You seem to be confident that I will forfeit my throne."
Tyler shrugged casually. "Luke did his job well. We can predict you now and I have a feeling that you would choose your mate. I mean, you once planned to drop your Alpha position, because your mate's life was being threatened as the Luna of this pack." He was right. Nothing would ever make me take another mate.
"Dear brother, we have been planning this for a long time now. Do you think I would come out here if I was but sure that you will choose your mate over this pack? I planned your death and that of your mate with my twin brother and when it did not work, I decided to play the role of a good brother. I pretended like I had visited to tell you and keep you on tabs with whatever Tyler had been planning when all this while, I have been studying you. And now, my time has come."
He turned to the pack elders. "Don't you all want Alphas that will choose the pack in an heartbeat. Someone that will never hesitate when it is time to choose the pack over something else. Plus, why settle for one Alpha, when you can have two very competent wolves as the Alphas."
"Alpha Leo," A pack elder called out. "It is time to choose. Your pack or your mate."
I was definitely not letting go of Rita.
"He wants his pack," Rita said and I c*** an eyebrow at her. "I am ready to find him a new mate."
