Chapter 38 Can You Lend Me Your Shoulder 

Leonard was all ears for Henry’s answer. 

He was anticipating him saying he was going to take care of Natalie. There was no way for him to miss such a great opportunity. 

Yet, Henry’s answer almost sent him into a frenzy. 

“What’s the big deal? She just got admitted to the hospital. It’s not like she’d die any sooner…” Henry said nonchalantly. 

Feeling helpless, Leonard tapped on the steering wheel. Initially, he thought he was quite heartless toward women. 

Who knew Henry would be much worse than him? 

“Henry…” 

“I’m busy. I’ll hang up now. 

Henry didn’t want to dwell on this topic any further, so he hung up shortly after. 

However, his mind was filled with how frail Natalie looked when she was sick. 

He had a lot of work to attend to, yet he couldn’t bring himself to set his mind to

He was frustrated with himself. In the end, he finally couldn’t stand it and threw 

his pen away. 

He closed his eyes. Henry tried to calm himself down. It simply wasn’t worth losing his composure over Natalie. 

Despite his efforts, he failed miserably. His mind was still occupied by Natalie. 

He finally gave in and stood up. He took his phone and left his office swiftly. 

On his way to the hospital, he had been convincing himself that he only came to the hospital because he simply didn’t want her to die of some illness. 

It wasn’t because he was concerned about her. 

Yes, that was why he decided to go to the hospital. 

After successfully convincing himself, Henry was back to his usual self. When he arrived at the General Hospital, he went straight to the front desk. 

“Excuse me, is there a patient named Natalie Shepherd here?” 

“Give me a minute. I’ll check.”

The staff at the front desk went through their system and replied, “I’m sorry. We don’t have a patient by that name.” 

Henry was bewildered. Didn’t Leonard say she was admitted to the General 

Hospital? Why wasn’t she in their system? 

He quickly asked again, “Are you sure there’s no one by that name?” 

“Yes, we weren’t able to find any information related to that name,” The staff answered patiently. 

At this point, Henry was even more confused. 

Just as he was about to call Leonard to ask for clarification, his attention was drawn to a figure at the end of the corridor. 

Natalie? She was here, after all. 

Henry immediately strode up to her. She had a flask in her hand, which implied she had just come back from the pantry. 

He suddenly felt bad for her when he saw her like this. Despite being sick, she still had to get water and do everything else. 

When he saw she stepped into one of the wards, he quickly followed after. 

He could even get some people over to help her if she needed help. 

When this thought flashed past his mind, he was already standing right in front of the ward. 

Just as he was about to knock, the conversation in the ward made his hand freeze in midair. 

“Sheldon, do you need anything to eat? I can go buy some for you downstairs.” 

Sheldon? 

Henry’s cold gaze pierced right through the glass pane on the door. He saw Sheldon in the ward. 

Him again! 

Fury was flickering in Henry’s eyes as he clenched his fists tightly. 

Eventually, he let out a self–deprecating smile. No wonder he couldn’t find her admission information. It turned out that she wasn’t even hospitalized; it was 

Sheldon.

Nonetheless, Henry was still worried about her. He was concerned that she was so sick that she would be on the verge of death. 

There was no way that this would happen. After all, she still had to take care of Sheldon. 

A phone call interrupted his train of thought. He finally stopped pondering on the 

matter. 

He was infuriated, and his eyes were tinged with a shade of red. 

His cold gaze swept past Natalie, who was busy attending to Sheldon in the ward. Only then did he answer the phone call and take his leave. 

“Hello?” 

“Mr. Chase, I’ve just received a parcel…” Wade said cautiously. 

Usually, he was in charge of all of Henry’s parcels. For those that were insignificant, he would just get rid of them right away. 

Only important parcels would be sent to Henry personally. 

“What is it?” 

“It’s–It’s the divorce papers from Ms. Shepherd.” 

Wade didn’t dare to gasp for his breath after he said so. 

The divorce papers… It turned out that Natalie was determined to file a divorce. with him. Did she do it for Sheldon’s sake? 

After not getting a reply from Henry for quite some time, Wade asked carefully, Mr. Chase, are you listening?” 

Without saying a word, Henry hung up right away. 

Natalie was really something. How dare she? Back then, she was desperately after him. Now that she had found another man, she wanted to cut all ties with him. 

He wouldn’t allow this to happen. 

Henry looked like someone had just punched the living daylights out of him. 

Just as he was about to leave, someone called out to him from behind. 

“Henry?” 

Nevertheless, he couldn’t care less and strode off. Yet, Juliet went up to him and stopped him quickly.

“Henry, what brings you here?” 

Henry stepped aside, seemingly reluctant to talk to her. 

“I’m here to visit a friend.” 

Juliet put on a devastated expression and said pitifully, “My brother… he was knocked over by a car this morning. 

“He just had his surgery this morning, and his condition is finally stable now. He was just transferred to the medical ward.” 

He knew her situation. He was aware that her family was her sore spot. 

Initially, Juliet was planning to make Henry feel sorry for her as she mentioned 

this. 

However, he remained nonchalant and simply said in an indifferent manner, Take good care of him.” 

Juliet was momentarily stunned. Was that it from him? 

Her heart sank in an instant. Just then, she happened to catch a glimpse of Natalie, who just came out of the ward. 

An idea popped into her mind. She stepped forward and hugged Henry. 

“Henry, I’m so tired. Can you lend me your shoulder?” 

Henry was about to push her away, but he saw Natalie, who just strode past him. He was immediately sent into a fit of rage. 

Did she just ignore him? She was unfazed even though he was in the arms of another woman. 

“It feels so good, you know? Your hug makes me strong again in an instant,” Juliet said. 

But in the next instant, Henry left her arms. He took hold of Natalie’s arm and dragged her to the end of the corridor.

Of course, Juliet knew she couldn’t just act blunt and follow them. Thus, she 

could only clench her fists. 

Her heart filled with resentment. Back then, when they were still together, she couldn’t even do that much to him. 

Yet, Henry had already lost his cool multiple times because of Natalie. 

Natalie blinked as she totally didn’t expect Henry to drag her away all of a
