Chapter 39 You Are Not Winning This Divorce Lawsuit 

The moment she walked out of the ward, she saw Henry and Juliet in each other’s 

arms. 

She didn’t want to think too much about it either. 

But couldn’t they have just gone somewhere farther away if they wanted to be lovey–dovey with one another? 

Why did they have to do that in front of her every time? 

Although she had tried very hard to pretend that she didn’t care, in her heart, she was still unable to be impassive. 

Henry ignored her. He dragged her to the emergency stairwell, then pressed her against the wall. He then kissed her right on the lips forcefully. 

Natalie was surprised by his move. What was he doing?! 

Moreover, his kiss felt very much like he was punishing her. 

This was ridiculous! 

He was the one who pranced around in public with Juliet. She thought she had been tactful enough not to interrupt them. But why was he mad at her instead? 

Did he even know what she had gone through today? 

She almost lost her baby! 

If he hadn’t abandoned her mid–way, such a thing might not have happened to her! 

Unfortunately, he wasn’t the one who appeared when she was in utmost despair 

At that thought, Natalie bit his lip revengefully. 

Soon enough, a ferrous taste spread gradually into both of their mouths. 

In much pain, Henry let go of her. A smear of blood could still be seen at the corner of his mouth. 

“What are you doing?” Natalie raised her hand and wiped her mouth. “Henry, are you insane?” 

Henry’s gaze was ice cold. He used his hand to wipe off the smudge of blood at the corner of his lips.

Then, he asked, “Divorce papers?” 

Natalie paused. She understood it now. 

She was surprised at the efficiency of this attorney. The court had already begun processing their case. 

She looked at him coldly. “That’s right. Since you kept refusing to sign, then let’s just go to court,” 

Henry squinted his eyes a little. He scoffed, “You didn’t think that you would be able to u 

just because you went to the family court, did you?” 

Natalie shuddered. 

Deep down in her heart, she knew where she stood. 

This divorce was probably not going to be a walk in the park. 

Even if she were to lose the case, she wasn’t going to lose her confidence. She tilted her chin upward and said in a determined voice, “We’ll see.” 

Henry moved nearer to her. He was giving off an air of intimidation with his entire being. 

“Who gave you such confidence? Was it Sheldon? What’s your relationship with him?” 

Natalie stared at his face for a long time. However, she could never figure out what he was thinking. 

“Henry, I really don’t understand you. Why are you just unwilling to get 

divorced? Wasn’t this what you have been looking forward to?” 

Natalie stopped for a moment. Suddenly, a smug smile spread across her face. ” Could it be… that you have fallen for me?” 

Fallen for her? 

Those three words were like a grenade that exploded in Henry’s heart. 

He was never ever going to forget her scheming! 

“Fallen for you? You?” Henry’s face was filled with contempt. “Dream on! That is such an unrealistic thing to say!” 

Even though that was the answer she was expecting, Natalie still flinched secretly. It was like a shot of pain through her heart. 

That was true. He could never have fallen for her.

Such a thing could probably only ever happen in a dream. 

Still, she pretended as if she was not affected. She responded, “Go ahead with the divorce then. Make it easy for everyone.” 

Henry’s gaze went dull. “Even if we were to get a divorce, I should be the one to bring it up! What right do you have to do so?” 

Natalie kept silent. A few seconds later, he spoke up again, “Let me tell you. You are not going to win this divorce lawsuit.” 

Every single word was said through gritted teeth. 

At that, he turned around and left. 

Instantaneously, there was pin–drop silence at the emergency stairwell. 

Such a silence made Natalie feel at a loss for what to do. She had an inexplicable feeling of unhappiness in her heart. 

Quickly, she forced herself to regulate her emotions. She went to the cafeteria to get takeout for Sheldon immediately after. 

Right after Henry had pulled Natalie aside, Juliet set off instantly to find out the reason that Natalie was at the hospital. 

When she found out that Natalie was there to look after another man, she 

laughed gleefully. 

She took her cell phone out and called a friend, who was a reporter. 

“Hello? Didn’t you say that there hasn’t been much red–hot news lately? I’ve For 

some shocking news for you now.” 

“What shocking news?” the reporter asked with much curiosity. 

But Juliet started acting secretive. She glanced into the ward that Natalie entered, her eyes burning with hatred. 

“You’ll find out once you get here.” 

Once Leslie had heard the news about Sheldon getting hurt, she rushed to his ward as fast as she could. 

She spent a while probing him with questions about how he was. 

He couldn’t help but smile. “I’m fine. It’s just a small injury.” 

“Would you need to be hospitalized if it’s just a small injury?” Leslie argued. 

Then, she turned to Natalie with a concerned look. “How about you, Natalie? How

Natalie shook her head. “I’m fine. But it was all thanks to your brother getting there in time. Otherwise,…” 

“Who the hell did this? They’d better not get found out by me!” Leslie clenched her teeth and said. 

“Let’s not talk about this first. Did you bring my sketchbook and stuff over?” Natalie diverted the topic. 

She had to stay at the hospital to care for Sheldon for the past few days. But she definitely couldn’t let that delay her design drafts. 

She already had a rough idea, and she just needed to get her draft sketched out 

now. 

Leslie nodded slightly. She promptly handed the bag to Natalie. “The things that you asked for are all here.” 

“Great.” Natalie received the bag with a smile. 

“Though, with you looking after Sheldon, are you able to handle it? If not, let me do it.” Leslie gave a quick, worried glance at Natalie’s belly. 

Instead, Natalie smiled in reply, “No worries. I can handle it. Moreover, he only got hurt because he was trying to save me.” 

Leslie understood her personality, so she didn’t press on further. She continued chatting with them for a little longer before leaving the hospital. 

After Leslie left, Natalie opened the takeout box for Sheldon. “I’m not sure if these are to your taste.” 

“I’m not a picky eater.” 

Natalie giggled. “Dig in.” 

Sheldon nodded his head. He picked up a fork to start eating, but due to the pain in his shoulder, he was unable to make use of his right hand. 

He then changed to his left, but the end result was the same. He was unable to pick up the food from his box. 

Natalie stood by the side and saw all these. She offered, “I’ll feed you.” 

Sheldon saw from her gaze that she was being sincere. He handed his fork to her and replied, “Thank you, then.” 

His words of thanks made Natalie feel even more guilt–ridden.

“Don’t say that. It’s what I should’ve done,” she responded as she picked up a piece of meat and lifted it up to Sheldon’s mouth. 

Sheldon took a look at the piece of meat. The truth was that he was a picky eater. 

What he hated the most was these kinds of greasy pork belly meats. 

Nonetheless, because it was Natalie who was feeding him, he still opened his mouth and took a bite. 

“Is it tasty?” Natalie inquired naturally. 

Sheldon had a warm and gentle smile on his face. “It is.” 

Natalie continued feeding him patiently while he ate with much satisfaction. 

Before he could finish his meal, someone from the outside pushed the hospital room door open.
