Chapter KILLING MARCELOS
Adetutu was amazed by how Fawrus’s blood was fighting its way through the maze to get to the four circles outside the box, as she and Fawrus watched the blood. Suddenly, Fawrus felt the presence of Fawmus in the building and stood up as he carried Anmer in his right hand.
Adetutu asked Fawrus ″what happened?″, seeing Fawrus stand up carrying Anmer.
Fawrus placed Anmer on Adetutu’s lap and said to her ″have got some business to attend to″, then Fawrus left while Adetutu continued watching Anmer.
Fawmus led the way in while the three others followed behind as Adewale, Detective John, and uncle James pointed out their guns to shoot anything that came their way. The four of them walked through the dark building from the 1st floor to the 4th floor without encountering anything then Fawrus suddenly appeared before them and they stopped upon seeing him. Detective John dropped the briefcase then he, Adewale, and uncle James pointed their guns at Fawrus.
Fawrus was shocked to see Detective John and said to him ″how come you are still alive after I killed you”.
“Because am connected to Adewale according to them″ said Detective John (with a smile) to Fawrus.
″Don’t be so happy because I will kill you permanently after am done with my task″ said Fawrus (with a smile) to Detective John, and that made John annoyed.
″And am here to get revenge for my men and we will see who will be killing who″ said Detective John (with anger) to Fawrus.
″We will see about that..... And how were you able to find me?″ Fawrus asked Fawmus.
″You are not that hard to find″ said Fawmus to Fawrus.
″Where is Deo?″ Adewale asked Fawrus.
″Safe for now. I didn’t know she was more caring, loving, and pretty as a human than a goddess. It’s a pity am going to have to take her away from you. I kind of like her now than in the past″ said Fawrus to Adewale.
″And who cares about that? Release her to us and we will leave without harming you″ said uncle James to Fawrus.
Fawrus laughed and said to uncle James ″you will never change, Domien. Always wants to prove he is strong and mighty but you aren’t. You know I love war and killing so I don’t see any of you as a threat″.
″That is what you think of us but you should see us as a threat and surrender ’cause you are outnumbered″ said Fawmus to Fawrus.
“You mean these fools are what I should be scared of? You disappoint me, twin brother. You know you aren’t matched for me and even if am outnumbered I always end up being victorious. I am the god of death″ said Fawrus (with a smile) to Fawmus.
“Let’s see if you are going to be victorious in the end″ said Fawmus to Fawrus.
″Die motherfucker″ said uncle James, as he pulled his gun trigger but before the bullet could get to Fawrus, Fawrus disappeared and the bullet hit the wall.
The three others (angry) turned to uncle James witnessing what happened and uncle James noticed the way they looked at him and asked them “’What with the look? Why are all looking at me like that?″.
“Why did you pull the trigger knowing the gun can’t kill him?″ Adewale asked Uncle James.
″Why can’t I pull the trigger? He was right here in front of us and we should have taken that chance to kill him and make him stay dead just like he did with Fawmus. And once we do that we won’t be needing the poison’s plan again″ said uncle James.
Hearing what uncle James said made Adewale and Fawmus angrier. Fawmus in anger said to uncle James ″you are dumb, Domien. Do you think if Fawrus was easy to kill I wouldn’t have attacked him? He is very powerful and stronger than you can ever imagine. And all those things you saw him doing is just the tip of his power″.
“We were having a conversation with me so I could get connected to him and then use the poison. It remains just a little bit for him to completely become human and even with him in front of me I still can’t connect with him easily. I was trying to get connected to him and you ruin it with your stupid thought″ said Adewale (in anger) to uncle James.
″But no one told me anything like that. I was just trying to be of help″ said uncle James.
″Thanks to your help now he is gone. How do we get that kind of chance again without him killing everyone except me″ said Adewale (in anger) to uncle James.
″I think something is also wrong with Mr. James″ said Detective John.
″Do you want me to kill you, John? Did they tell you about the plan to keep Fawrus in a conversation so we can kill him?″ uncle James asked John.
″No, they didn’t and I still didn’t shoot. Do you want to know why? It was because the explosion didn’t kill that guy nor did bullets in the station so why should I shoot him when I know the only thing that can kill him is the poison″ said Detective John to uncle James.
″Try to be smart and think before acting next time, Domien, and don’t do anything without any order.....″ said Fawmus to uncle James.
Fawmus was cut short of words as uncle James cut in, ″you all need to look back right now″ said uncle James upon seeing many split ones. They all looked back and saw the split ones and how many they were.
Fawrus returned to Adetutu and met her still looking at his blood inside the maze. Adetutu saw Fawrus and asked him ″so how was the business you went to take care of?″.
″Good″ said Fawrus, and sat down back on the chair then they both continued staring at the blood together.
Uncle James, Fawmus, Adewale, and Detective John were surrounded by the split ones. Uncle James, Adewale, and Detective John turned their back on each other as they pointed their guns forward ready to kill the split ones while fawmus stood alone ready to kill.
″Make sure you go for their head that way they die faster″ said Fawmus to uncle James, Adewale, and Detective John.
″What does that mean?″ asked uncle James.
“Dumb, it means shoot their heads″ said Detective John to uncle James, and then the split ones attacked them.
Fawmus uses his power to devour the split ones while uncle James, Adewale, and Detective John shoot from the spot where they are standing. Uncle James, Adewale, and Detective John later separated from each other when the split ones attacked them with speed and force from all angles, and the split ones seemed to be more focused on the three of them than Fawmus.
After their separation, the way uncle James, Adewale, and Detective John fought the split ones with their guns was surprising to them. They had no idea how they were able to fight in such a way, it seemed like they were being controlled by something or someone. The three of them fought like trained mercenaries/ assassins while Fawmus watched their back by killing any split ones that sneaked up an attack on them. Fawmus also protected them while they reloaded their guns.
Uncle James said out loud while still shooting ″am enjoying killing Fawrus’ pets″.
″Welcome to the police world″ said Detective John (still shooting) to uncle James.
A split one ran toward Uncle James to attack him and he pulled his gun trigger upon seeing it but uncle James was surprised to see the split one still running toward him and realized he was out of bullets. The split one raised its hand to hurt uncle James as he got to uncle James and uncle James thought he was going to die but Detective John saw it and shot it on its head from the spot he was standing.
Upon seeing the split one fall to the ground dead, uncle James looked around to see it was Detective John that shot it. Detective John said to uncle James ″you are welcome”, and continued his shooting while uncle James reloaded his gun and the split one faded away.
The four of them end up killing all the split ones and they all fade away. ″Wow. We did great but the way we three fought is unexplainable and weird″ said Adewale, as they all come closer to each other.
″I think so also because the way we fought it felt like we were possessed″ said uncle James.
″Have been in many crossfires against criminals but none was like this. What I felt while killing Fawrus’ split ones is something I can never describe and have never felt before. I never knew killing supernatural beings could be so good″ said Detective John.
″Don’t be surprised by the way you all fought that shows you are all supernatural, and that is your supernatural side coming into reality″ said Fawmus to the three of them.
″I think you deserve the word thank you, John. Thank you for saving my life″ said uncle James to John.
″Don’t mention. It is not like you will die permanently. I just had to help you because death is not easy. So I didn’t save your life but save you from dying″ said Detective John (with a smile) to Uncle James, the others also smiled.
″We need to get going now we don’t have all time″ said Adewale.
Uncle James, Adewale, and Detective John checked their guns if it was still loaded and they were, then Detective John carried the briefcase and they continued their walk.
