Chapter KILLING FAWRUS II
Fawrus felt all the split ones had been destroyed and knew they were coming for him but he didn’t bother to stand up from where he was seated or make any move against them. Fawrus’ blood had also already fought halfway through the maze.
Upon getting to the 7th floor, Adewale suddenly could feel Adetutu and said ″I can now feel A″, then they all stopped walking as they all looked at him.
Uncle James asked Adewale ″so how is she? Is she okay?″.
″What am feeling from her is kind of weird″ said Adewale confused.
″What do you mean?″ Fawmus asked Adewale.
″Hope she is not dying?″ Detective John asked Adewale before Adewale could answer Fawmus’ question.
″Why don’t you ever think before talking? If she is dying won’t we also be dying″ said uncle James (annoyingly) to Detective John.
“How da........” said Detective John.
Detective John was cut short of words as Adewale cut in, ″will you both stop” said Adewale to uncle James and John, and they both couldn’t utter any word.
“I can feel that she is happy and excited″ said Adewale, perplexed by what he was feeling from Adetutu.
″Excited? Happy? That can’t be possible. How is someone that is held captive be happy or excited″ said uncle James.
″Or maybe you are feeling the wrong thing″ said Detective John to Adewale.
″It doesn’t work like that. Whatever I feel from her is real. She is happy. I can feel that and she is excited about something″ said Adewale.
″Then that only means one thing. Fawrus is not holding her captive like someone in real captivity or making her sad but making her happy″ said Fawmus.
″Are you sure about that or maybe Fawrus did something to her?” asked Detective John.
″Something like what?″ Adewale asked Detective John.
″Maybe he enchanted her with a love spell″ said Detective John.
″You are crazy, John. What you just said is absurd″ said uncle James to Detective John.
″John, Deo can’t be enchanted with a love spell it won’t work on her either Leo″ said Fawmus to John.
″But Fawrus did say he liked her now. Maybe he did something else to her. Think about it, what will make Fawrus say he likes Deo when we all know how much he hates her″ said Adewale.
″Maybe Fawrus really does like her now and did something to Deo to make her like him back″ said Detective John.
″Enough of your rubbish, John. Your words are always illogical. How can a monster like or love someone?″ said uncle James to John.
″A monster that is becoming a human right. Maybe you should start watching movies then you will know monsters also fall in love. And why do you always pick on my word?″ Detective John (in anger) asked uncle James.
″Not again you both. Let’s get moving so we can find out what going on″ said Fawmus.
Adetutu was still staring at Anmer when she suddenly felt the presence of Adewale in the building and that distracted her from Anmer. Fawrus noticed her and asked her ″what’s wrong? You look troubled″.
″Um.. nothing″ said Adetutu.
″You can’t lie to me. You can now feel him right?.....“, Adetutu looked at Fawrus with her facial expression saying yes, “Leo and the others are here to save you and I would like them to try″ said Fawrus.
″What are you going to do to them?″ asked Adetutu.
″I don’t also know. I guess we will have to find out when they arrive″ said Fawrus with a smile.
Adewale, uncle James, Detective John, and Fawrus walked into the 8th floor and saw Adetutu and Fawrus seated opposite each other, and Anmer on Adetutu’s lap. Adetutu saw them and was happy that she had a chance of surviving but was surprised to see Detective John alive. Adewale and Adetutu smiled at each other while Detective John waved at Adetutu.
Fawrus stood up and faced them then began to clap while Detective John asked the others silently ″what kind of book is that?″, upon taking a closer look at Anmer.
″I don’t know″ said Fawmus.
″You don’t know what that is. I thought you were supposed to know most things″ said uncle James to Fawmus.
″I have never seen it and it is not part of Leo’s memories″ said Fawmus.
″The book even has a maze. Isn’t that blood?″ asked Adewale, on noticing the blood.
Fawrus stopped clapping and said to the four of them ″don’t trouble yourselves with what’s on Deo’s lap because none of you know it or have ever seen it..... You all did a great job out there but you should all have turned back after surviving instead of coming to me to die″.
″Let me give you a choice, Fawrus. Give Adetutu to us and run or die″ said uncle James to Fawrus.
″I don’t see that has a choice and have never run from any battle. Why should I run now?″ said Fawrus.
″Because there is a 90% chance that you will die and am gonna be the one to kill you″ said Detective John to Fawrus.
″Okay, nice speech. I see you are all prepared to die″ said Fawrus, and created a split one.
″Just one pathetic split one and you think it can defeat us″ said Adewale to Fawrus.
Fawrus smiled while Fawmus took a closer look at the split one then said silently to Adewale, John, and uncle James ″it is not just a split one. It is advanced and more intelligent than the normal split ones″.
″I wish you all good luck″ said Fawrus, and picked up Anmer on Adetutu’s lap then untied the ropes on Adetutu and stood her up. Fawrus holds Adetutu’s hand and runs up the stairs to the rooftop (with Adetutu) with his speed power.
Fawmus tried to go after Fawrus and run with his speed power through the stairs to get to the rooftop but the split one disappeared and appeared before Fawmus and then punched Fawmus very hard and fast on his chest. The force of the punch sent Fawmus backward and he fell on the floor very hard making the floor crack, Fawmus stood up in anger.
Uncle James, Adewale, and Detective John were shocked to see a split one hit Fawmus so hard like that. Adewale asked ″what kind of split one is this?″.
“Do you think am joking when I said it is more advanced″ said Fawmus to the three of them.
″Advance how?″ uncle James asked Fawmus.
″It is more like Fawrus, not the split one. Now that Fawrus and I can bleed it can also bleed and we call them the minder because they are like a bodyguard. It can only be created when we reach the peak of our powers and I think Fawrus has done that... Am going to leave it to you three so don’t underestimate it″ said Fawmus to the three of them.
″Okay″ said Detective John, and dropped the briefcase then pulled his gun trigger toward the minder.
The minder saw the bullet as it came toward it but it tried to stop it with its bare hand and the bullet went through its hand tearing it apart. ″Wow. Is this also a supernatural weapon″ said the minder, as the gun tore its hand but its hand began to heal itself.
Uncle James, Adewale, and Detective John were shocked when the minder talked and his torn hand began to heal itself. Uncle James said surprised ″it can even talk and heal itself″.
“What do you think? Am a supernatural″ said the minder (with a smile) to uncle James.
″It is really more like Fawrus″ said Detective John silently.
″Why don’t you move out of the way″ said Adewale annoyingly to the minder.
“I can but master made it clear not to″ said the minder to Adewale.
″Distract it while I go up to attack Fawrus, Fawrus will be a little vulnerable. And don’t kill the minder″ said Fawmus to the three of them.
″Why shouldn’t we kill it?″ uncle James asked Fawmus.
″Shoot its head, it won’t die. It can only be killed in the heart because it has one. Don’t kill it I repeat, that is the only way I can best Fawrus″ said Fawmus to the three of them.
″Okay. Let’s give this second demon a taste of what we are″ said uncle James to Adewale and John, then they get ready to attack the minder.
The three of them fired their guns at the minder but the minder dodged the bullets as it walked on the walls with its speed power dodging the bullets fired at it. Seeing the minder out of the way, Fawmus went to the rooftop with his speed power.
The minder dodged the bullets and suddenly disappeared then it appeared back in front of Detective John and Detective John shot its head upon seeing it. The force of the bullet tore the head of the minder open and the minder fell dead on the floor.
Uncle James and Adewale were surprised as the minder fell dead. Detective John said disappointed ″I thought the so-called minder would be hard to kill but this is total rubbish″.
″Good job, John″ said Adewale to John
″Even the split ones are kind of hard to kill″ said uncle James, disappointed at the minder because they thought it was easily killed.
Adewale dragged the minder by its clothing to where the two chairs were. Adewale sat down on one of the chairs and the minder by his side on the floor.
″What are you doing?″ uncle James asked Adewale seeing Adewale sit down.
″What does it look like?″ said Adewale to uncle James, as he placed his gun on his leg.
″Why are you sitting instead of us to be at the rooftop helping Fawmus″ said uncle James to Adewale.
″No, we are staying here to make sure the minder stays dead as requested by Fawmus so he can best Fawrus″ said Adewale to uncle James.
″He is right. We will only be a distraction to Fawmus if we go up there. So let’s just make sure the minder stays dead″ said Detective John to uncle James, and also sat down on the second chair while uncle James looked at the both of them in disbelief.
