Chapter FIRST APPEARANCE II
Uncle James was still staring at Adewale’s body when the fire that surrounds Adewale’s body suddenly disappeared and his body was placed on the bed slowly. Adewale opened his eyes as he gasped and then began to breathe heavily and looked scared.
Uncle James quickly went to Adewale and tell him to calm down and breathe slowly. Adewale (without calming) said to uncle James ″It worked. It worked, uncle. I need to go save her she is in danger″.
″I can’t let you do that. Just tell me where she is and I will go get her″ said uncle James to Adewale.
Adewale told uncle James where the bar is located and the bar name, and about the guys that took Adetutu. Uncle James told Adewale to rest and left the house in his car.
The guys took Adetutu to a dark small corridor and laid her down on the floor. Adetutu tried to get up but they hold her down. Adetutu continued struggling with the guys to stand up and left the guys with no choice but to knock her out with a heavy slap.
As Adetutu fainted, the 1st guy said to the others ″I think I should be the one to check her out first″.
″No, I should be the one″ said 5th guy in disagreement.
″We all don’t need to argue on this. We will all have our turns″ said 3rd guy.
″I think you should go first since you were the one that sighted her first″ said the 5th guy to the 2nd guy.
″Okay then. That means I got to taste her first″ said the 2nd guy with a smile happily ever.
The second guy unzipped his trouser and bend down to rape Adetutu but just then a voice said from behind the guys to them ″wait″.
Hearing the word made all the guys turn back to see who it was that talked. Even the 2nd guy zip up his trouser, stood up, and turned back to see who it was that talked. The five guys all saw a guy smiling, wearing a black suit and a black hat that covered half of his face. The 2nd guy asked the strange guy wearing the hat ″who are you?″.
″I am Fa... I don’t think you all should be concerned about that because you won’t live to tell anyone about me″ said the strange guy (smiling) to them.
The five guys all smiled thinking the strange guy was joking and seeing him as nothing threatening to them. The 4th guy said to the strange guy ″Are you trying to be brave or stupid? Or your parents didn’t teach you when to joke″.
″Erm.... both. And I also don’t have parents″ said the strange guy to the guys, and got in front of the five guys in a blink of an eye.
The five guys become startled and fear gripped them as the strange guy got in front of them very fast. The strange guy said to the five guys ″you have all made a terrible mistake tonight. She is mine and mine alone. Only I can hurt her but you guys hurt her. Didn’t you?″, as he walk around them.
″We are sorry. We didn’t know she was close to you″ said 1st guy (frightened and shaking) to the strange guy, same as four others.
″Am also sorry I don’t accept apologies. So you are all going to have to die″ said the strange guy (smiling) to the guys.
Hearing the word death made the five guys try to run but just as the five guys all took five steps forward the strange guy was right in front of them again and they all became more frightened. The five guys brought out their guns with courage which they kept hidden under their trousers covering them with their tops, and pointed their guns at the strange guy.
″Get out of our way now or we will be forced to shoot you″ said the 3rd guy to the strange guy.
″Fear, fear, fear. That weakens humans a lot. Am sorry, it has been a long since I ripped out a human heart and also tasted it. I think I will begin with you all in this lifetime″ said the strange guy (smiling) to the guys.
Hearing that fear gripped the five guys more but they all fired their guns with fear at the stranger guy.
The five guys fired their guns at the strange guy till their bullets were exhausted. Surprisingly and shocking to the five guys the strange guy was still standing with his head bowed and like nothing hit him even though they saw the bullets go into him. The strange guy raised his head revealing the color of his eyes which was red and the five guys all screamed in terror.
Uncle James got to the bar described by Adewale and saw Adetutu’s car. Uncle James went straight to Adetutu’s car to check on Adetutu and was surprised when he saw Adetutu sound asleep in the back seat of the car. Uncle James thought to himself if Adewale is now seeing things or lying because Adewale told him Adetutu is in danger but here she is asleep in her car with her car key and purse by her side. Uncle James didn’t wake Adetutu up but went to lock his car instead and drove Adetutu home in her car.
Upon getting home everyone was already asleep, uncle James carried Adetutu to Adewale’s room and met Adewale asleep. Uncle James smiled and placed Adetutu beside Adewale on the bed.
NEXT DAY( Morning)
Adewale had a dream about the person he saw last night that looks like him while trying to locate Adetutu. Adewale woke up weak and tried to get up from the bed then noticed something was on his chest, belly, and leg. Adewale looked at what it was and saw Adetutu, her head on his chest, her hand on his belly, and her leg on his leg.
Adewale took a closer look at Adetutu and saw she was still sleeping then he smiled and stared at her. Adewale continued staring at Adetutu and then decided to kiss her forehead. Adewale was about to kiss Adetutu’s forehead when the kids (Jay, Gabriel, and Esther ) barged into the room saying ″Good morning, brother Adewale″, not knowing Adetutu was in.
The kids saw Adetutu asleep next to Adewale and climbed on top of the bed then pulled the blanket off Adewale’s and Adetutu’s body, and that woke Adetutu up.
Adetutu opened her eyes and saw the kids then smiled at them not noticing Adewale or the room she was in. Esther said to Adetutu ″hope you and brother Adewale slept well?″.
″I don’t know about Adewale but I did. You can go ask him in his room″ Adetutu responds with a smile, still not noticing and still in her sleeping position.
″But he is right here with you and your head is placed on his chest″ said Gabriel to Adetutu.
Adetutu looked at where she placed her head and saw the chest then Adewale smiling at her. Adetutu was shocked and quickly moved away from Adewale Immediately she saw him. Adewale smiled and asked the kids ″what was she doing when you guys came in?″.
″Sleeping on your chest″ the kids responded in union with a smile.
″And now she is shy″ said Adewale (with a smile) to the kids, and the kids laughed at Adetutu.
Adetutu picked up the pillows and hit Adewale with them then sent every one of them out of the room remaining only her.
Adetutu sat down on the bed alone and wondered how she got into Adewale’s room but she couldn’t remember. But she later remembered someone carrying him who look like Adewale and thought he must have been the one that save her from those guys and brought her home.
Adewale went to the living room and saw no one which was unusual because uncle James was supposed to be there watching the morning news. Adewale went to the kitchen where he know he will find Jay’s mum and uncle James’ wife to ask them about uncle James and they told him uncle James left home very early in the morning.
Uncle James left the house in the morning to get his car at the bar. Upon getting to the bar, uncle James saw police and an ambulance close the bar so he decided to check what happening. Uncle James went to the crime scene and saw bodies torn to pieces and blood everywhere. Uncle James was shocked and wondered what kind of murderer who kill people in such a way.
Uncle James got home and met everyone in the living room watching the news about the dead bodies he saw and he joined them in watching the news. The news also stated that everyone should beware of the new murderer.
NIGHT
After dinner, uncle James and Adewale sat down outside the house in the compound to talk. Adewale said to uncle James ″there is something I need to discuss with you, uncle″.
″Am sure It’s concerning Adetutu, but know this. We just have to give her some time, she will come around. Losing your parents at the same time was just too much for her to handle that is why she results in drinking″ said uncle James to Adewale.
″It’s not about her, uncle. It’s about something else and I want you to answer me sincerely″ said Adewale.
″Okay. What is it?″ asked uncle James.
″I think you are hiding something from me and Adetutu″ said Adewale.
Uncle James smirked upon hearing that and asked ″what do you think am hiding and what made you say that?″.
″You only know about me getting affected by the alcohol Adetutu drinks. I don’t think I have ever told you that I and Adetutu could feel each other and am sure she hasn’t also″ said Adewale.
Uncle James smiled and said ″is that the reason why you think am hiding things from you. As for the feeling, your parents told me because they confide in me″.
″That’s not just it. When you told me to find Adetutu, I noticed you were saying it with 100% assurance that I could. There was no doubt in you or your words, it was like you really knew I could. Which got me thinking there is something you are not telling us. You also made it clear that you know us more than we think we know ourselves″ said Adewale.
″Erm....... To me that was the right thing to do and say. I needed to make sure I wasn’t doubting so you could believe you could because if I was doubting you won’t even want to do it. I also needed to assure you and it turns out well, didn’t it? You were able to locate her right″ said uncle James with a smile.
″Okay. I will accept that for now but will keep it in mind that you are keeping things from us″ said Adewale.
″Am not Adewale. You both are gifted with such a lovely connection which is one of a kind. Most people will kill for what you guys have. You are both special, don’t forget that″ said uncle James.
″And I want to ask. How did you save Adetutu from the guy that took her?″ asked Adewale.
″You are wrong about that because I didn’t save her. I met her asleep in her car″ said uncle James.
Adewale was confused and surprised to hear that then Adewale asked ″really?″.
″Yes. No one but just her asleep in her car. I thought maybe you are seeing things or lying to me″ said uncle James.
″That’s weird because I saw those guys taking her away″ said Adewale confused.
″You must have been seeing things that are not real. Let’s end our conversation here, I need to go get some sleep″ said uncle James and went in.
Adewale thinks maybe he saw the wrong thing or something happened.
Adetutu didn’t stop drinking, she continued her ways and tried to put up a fake smile and happy face. Adetutu was able to fool everyone except Adewale because he knew deep down she is hurting so much and she is in pain. She is also finding it hard to move it.
Adewale didn’t know what to do anymore because he is always intoxicated every time thanks to Adetutu that won’t stop drinking and won’t listen to him.
