MY HEART (REUNION OF LEO AND DEO)

Chapter FIRST APPEARANCE

″No, no Dad, you can’t die. Not now, please not now″ said Adewale as he began to cry over the death of Mr Martin.

Adetutu was about to be given her food after paying when she felt the sadness of Adewale. The sadness was so strong that she couldn’t shut it out then Adetutu quickly left the restaurant with her phone and purse leaving the food and went back to the hospital to check on Adewale and why he is sad.

Upon getting to the passageway that lead to her dad’s ward, Adetutu saw Adewale sited on the floor crying at the ward’s doorstep. Adetutu walked toward Adewale, wondering what going on as she see nurses coming in and out of her father’s ward then became worried.

Adewale saw Adetutu as she walked toward him then he stood up, stopped crying, wipe his tears, and went to meet her. Upon getting to each other, Adetutu (anxious) asked Adewale ″wh...why are you crying? What is going on?″.

“I? Am not crying″ Adewale lied to Adetutu.

″I saw you, you need not lie. What is going on and why are you crying?″ Adetutu (anxious) asked Adewale, once again.

″Am not crying, okay″ Adewale lied, pretending to be okay.

″Okay. I want to check on dad″ said Adetutu, and wanted to move but Adewale hold her right hand preventing her from moving.

Adetutu wondered why Adrwale hold her right hand then Adewale said to her ″You can’t go in there”, as water filled his eyes.

″What do you mean by I can’t go in there? Let go of me I want to check up on Dad″ said Adetutu angrily and anxious.

″I can’t do that″ said Adewale, trying to hold his tears.

″Let me go, I want to see Dad″ said Adetutu with a little bit of annoyance.

″Am sorry A, you can’t see him... He is gone″ said Adewale.

″What do you mean by he is gone?″ asked Adetutu anxiously.

″He....is... dead, A″ said Adewale.

Hearing that Adetutu felt heartbroken, water-filled Adetutu’s eyes, and her purse fell from her hand. Adetuty said in disbelief ″no, no, he can’t be dead. I won’t believe that. I need to see Dad myself″.

Adetutu wanted to go but Adewale hold her right hand firm and didn’t let go of her preventing her from leaving. Adetutu plead multiple times that Adewale should let go of her so she could go see her Dad but Adewale didn’t let go of her and then hugged her as she cried bitterly saying ″not him again″

Mr. and Mrs. Martin were given a proper burial. Friends and employees attended the burial ceremony, even Uncle James’s family and his brother’s family returned from the United state for the burial ceremony.

Adetutu and Adewale made sure their parents were buried in the same place. The whole property was willed to Adewale and Adetutu.

After the death of Mr. and Mrs. Martin, Adetutu and Adewale lived begins to with Uncle James and his family as requested by Uncle James so he could keep an eye on them.

Adetutu was devastated when her parents died and that made her result in drinking, thinking it will ease her pain but it didn’t.

Uncle James and Adewale tried to talk Adetutu out of drinking but she didn’t listen so they froze her bank account so she could no longer see money to buy drinks, and that didn’t end well because she tried to kill herself but fortunately she didn’t die.

After Adetutu survived her trying to kill herself, she threatened uncle James and Adewale that she will try to kill herself again and make sure she died this time if they don’t unfreeze her bank account. Adewale and uncle James has no choice but to do as she says to prevent her from dying.

While Adetutu was living a devastating life, Adewale and uncle James took care of the companies and other properties owned by Mr. and Mrs. Martin.

Adewale didn’t give up on Adetutu, he talked to her from time to time to stop drinking and also told her that he is being affected whenever she drinks because whenever she became intoxicated he also becomes intoxicated too. Though Adewale could feel Adetutu but the intoxicating thing wasn’t supposed to be happening but Adetutu told Adewale that she doesn’t care.

One night, Adetutu went to a bar and drank different types of drinks (alcoholic). After having so many drinks, Adetutu realized she was tipsy and took her bag and phone then made her way to her car outside the bar.

Adewale was watching tv with uncle James and his family when he suddenly felt that he was tipsy. Adewale’s vision suddenly became a little blur then he stood up to go to the front door but as he took a step he falls back on the chair which scared uncle James and his family.

Uncle James went to Adewale and help him down properly. Uncle James asked Adewale ″what’s wrong?″.

″It’s Adetutu, she is drunk. I need to go get her before she loses control of herself″ said Adewale silently to uncle James.

″I understand but you can’t go out like this and even drive in this state since you are also going through what she is going through″ said uncle James to Adewale.

″What do we do now?″ asked Adewale, still feeling high.

″Let’s get you to your room first″ said uncle James.

″Is something wrong with him?″ Jay’s mum asked uncle James.

″Nothing. He is just a little bit stressed out so am taking him to his room to rest. You can all continue with the tv″ said uncle James to his family.

Uncle James helped Adewale up and took him to his room. Upon getting inside Adewale’s room, uncle James lay Adewale on his bed and sat beside him. Adewale asked uncle James ″what is it do you think we should do now, uncle?″.

″I don’t know. We don’t where she is or where to look for her″ said uncle James.

″But she is not safe out there drunk″ said Adewale worried.

″I know. I can’t just go out and drive the whole city looking for her″ said uncle James.

″It’s getting late, uncle, we need to do something. If I wasn’t in this state I would have gone out to look for her myself″ said Adewale annoyed.

″Just give me a moment and let me think″ said uncle James.

After thinking for some seconds, uncle James said to Adewale ″there is something we can try″.

″What’s that?″ asked Adewale curiously.

″I have come to know you and Adetutu better than you think you know yourselves″ said uncle James.

″Okay. So?″ said Adewale.

″You are going to be the one to find her″ said uncle James.

Adewale was confused by uncle James’ words and said to him ″You are kidding right, uncle? You said it yourself I can’t go out like this″.

″That’s not what I mean. You both could feel each other right and the reason why you are tipsy is that she is tipsy so I want you to use that feeling to find her″ said uncle James.

Adewale was confused by Uncle James’ words again and said to him ″Uncle, what you are suggesting is impossible. The reason we could feel each other is unknown to both of us, and why am tipsy just because she is, is also unknown. We have no idea what going on between the both of us, and you want me to do something I can barely understand. It is impossible. It not like we are some kind of supernatural with physic connection or power″ said Adewale.

″Listen to me Adewale. Do you think you two being able to feel each other is natural? No, it is not because what is going on between you two is beyond human imagination and has never been recorded in history. You are not even real siblings and you can feel each other which means you two are special in some ways. I just want you to channel that feeling and do more than just feeling each other, like see through her. The feeling makes it look like you are present in and around her right. So use that and be truly present in or around her, see through her″ said uncle James.

″Now I don’t understand you but leave that aside. What you are asking me to do is impossible, uncle″ said Adewale.

″Nothing is impossible in this world, it is only when it has not yet been done. I believe you can do this and you have to do this. That is the only way we can know where she is and can help her″ said uncle James.

″Okay, but I don’t believe this and I don’t even know where to start from″ said Adewale.

″Let’s start with you focusing on her. Whatever it is that you are feeling that is from her, focus on that and find her″ said uncle James.

Adewale took a deep breath and closed his eyes then focus on what he is feeling that is from Adetutu as he breathed in and out slowly. Uncle James said silently to Adewale ″now reach out to her″.

As Adewale’s eyes were closed, suddenly he levitated from the bed and fire came out of nowhere and surrounded him. Uncle James became shocked as Adewale levitated from the bed and fire surrounded him then Uncle James stood up from the bed and moved back as he looked at Adewale in disbelief. Uncle James quickly closed the door to prevent anyone from entering.

Adewale heard a voice call his name and he opened his eyes to see himself standing and looked around him to see nothing but white and a red door a few paces from him. Adewale was a bit scared upon seeing his surrounding because he had no idea where he was, and wondered where he was and how he got there.

Adewale walked slowly to the door sacred and opened it then went in. Adewale came out of the door to see himself in front of a bar and was surprised how he got there and thought to himself that, that is where Adetutu will be then he went into the bar. Adewale searched the whole bar for Adetutu but there was no sign of Adetutu then he went to the parking lot to look for her.

Adetutu was having trouble opening the car door. Adetutu was drunk and couldn’t fix the key into the car door keyhole.

Adewale saw Adetutu and was relieved upon getting to the parking lot, then walked to her. Upon getting to Adetutu, Adewale (smiling) tried to touch Adetutu but his hand went through her then he figures out he is not really here and that he is more like a spirit. Adewale called Adetutu’s name and Adetutu heard and looked around but saw no one then Adetutu continued fighting with the key and the keyhole while Adewale watched. As Adewale continue watching Adetutu, suddenly five guys came out of nowhere and one of the guys carried Adetutu on his shoulder making her car key and bag fall.

Adewale became scared and tried to hit the guys seeing what happened but wasn’t able to.

Adetutu scream out in fear as the guy carried her ″let go of me now. Who the hell are you guys″

Adetutu hit the guy carrying her multiple times as he carried her and began to walk away but her punch was nothing.

Adewale (scared) followed the guys as they carried Adetutu with them and tried to gut the guys multiple time but he couldn’t then suddenly a wind pulled him back into a door unaware to him.

Adewale became more scared after being pulled back into the door because everywhere was dark and there was no glimpse of light. Adewale (scared) said ″is anyone there″, but only his voice echoed back to him.

A light shone unto a man figure not far from Adewale and Adewale saw the light and the person it shone on, then Adewale walked toward him scared.

Upon getting closer to the man (the man’s back was facing Adewale), Adewale stopped and asked the man ″who are you?″.

The guy turned back to Adewale slowly and Adewale became shocked upon seeing the guy’s face. The guy said to Adewale ″thank you″, then the ground cracked opened beneath Adewale and Adewale fell screaming.
