My Ex-Wife’s Glamorous Comeback by Zenobia Nelson

Chapter 21

Chapter 21

Charlotte was not businesssavvy, but she knew that Gordon and Zachary were at loggerheads. Charlotte frowned and said, “I am sorry.”

Gordon reached out and dotingly touched Charlotte’s head, saying, “Charlotte, it’s not your fault.”

Not long after breakfast.

Charlotte’s cell phone buzzed with message beeps.

Every time the phone beeped, it indicated that Charlotte received a message.

Charlotte picked out her phone.

When Charlotte saw the messages, she became sullen.

Seeing that Charlotte was sullen, Gordon picked up the glass of water in front of him and took a sip. He then asked casually, “Who sent you the messages?”

“Some money is transferred into my bank account.”

Hearing that, Gordon spurted the water out of his mouth.

Gordon knew well about Charlotte’s financial situation. Charlotte had earned a lot herself over the years, but she had received remittances regularly.

No company would transfer money to someone early in the morning.

Gordon said, “Let me take a look.” Gordon grabbed the phone in Charlotte’s hand and looked at it.

Money was still being transferred into Charlotte’s account.

Each remittance Charlotte received was relatively large, enough for her to spend for years.

The messages Charlotte received did not show who the payer was. They only showed the amount of money transferred and the balance. “Who is so generous?”

Charlotte had not been happy since her return.

Let alone at that moment.

“This is the compensation for my divorce from you for asking no penny from you.”

“What? When…” Before Gordon finished what he wanted to say, he realized what was going on.

Gordon asked, “Is the money the compensation Zachary gives you?”

Gordon thought, “Oh my gosh.

To get Charlotte to divorce me, Zachary ignores the cost.”

Charlotte nodded.

Gordon said helplessly. “So what are your plans?” He added somewhat mockingly, “Are you going to divorce me?”

Charlotte said, “Just ignore him.”

The offer was made by Zachary himself, but Charlotte did not agree to it.

Charlotte thought, “Since Zachary wants to let me divorce Gordon even if he has to pay such a price, he must have a purpose for what he’s doing.

He never makes a losing deal.

What is his plot?”

Gordon left. He came back with Charlotte this time because he had a lot of important things to deal with, so he couldn’t be by her side all the time.

Charlotte was just about to go out when she saw Zachary’s car.

Zachary leaned his back against the car door. He looked somewhat unhappy. Since he was both handsome and tall, numerous women in Liene City wanted to be with him.

A touch of coldness appeared in Charlotte’s eyes.

Charlotte walked directly toward the Mercedes that Gordon left for her as if she did not see Zachary.

Charlotte had just put her hand on the car door when she heard Zachary say, “Have you made it clear to him?”

“What do you mean by that?”

For Zachary’s sudden question, Charlotte didn’t understand what it meant for a while.

“Did you turn a deaf ear to what I said?”

As soon as Zachary saw how Charlotte looked, he knew she didn’t do what he asked her to do.

“I have asked someone to transfer the money to you.”

Charlotte thought, “So what?

Does he want to hear the news of my divorce from Gordon this afternoon?”

Charlotte cast an angry look at Zachary and said, “I think you are dreaming.” After saying that, she opened the car door and got in.

Zachary thought it was strange for Charlotte, who was of a petite figure, to sit in such a big car.

Zachary thought, “How come I didn’t notice that she is so wild sometimes?”

Charlotte used to be a good girl in Zachary’s eyes. He never knew she could drive.

Zachary also never knew that Charlotte had an extreme personality.

But from the way Charlotte got away from Zachary three years ago, it could be seen that she was a woman of character.
