Charlotte never resisted Zachary before, so she didn’t know exactly what kind of serious consequences would be if she pissed him off.
In the afternoon.
Charlotte had just returned from the hospital to Maple Estates when she received a call from Gordon. “I’m going back to Snowe City right now,” Gordon said.
“Are you leaving now?”
“Yes. Do you want to go back with me?” Gordon was a little worried about leaving Charlotte there. alone.
Charlotte frowned.
Charlotte thought, “I can’t leave yet because I haven’t found out what happened to my grandmother. I have checked something in the hospital today.
There is something suspicious. For example, the nurses who had contact with my grandmother back then, and even doctors other than Adam, are no longer in the hospital.”
All these signs made Charlotte suspect that things were not as simple as they seemed.
Charlotte thought for a while and said, “You go back first. I will do what I want to do as soon as possible.”

Charlotte said, “I see.”
When Gordon mentioned Zachary, Charlotte wondered if Gordon’s leaying now had anything to do with Zachary.

Gordon had left Liene City..
Zachary walked into the Maple Estates in an imposing manner.

Seeing Zachary walk straight into the house, Charlotte was a little nervous. “What do you want to do?”
Zachary was dressed in a dark suit and looked noble and elegant. He was sitting on the sofa with his legs crossed. He looked at Charlotte with calm and coldness in his eyes.
“Are you used to living here or in Superb Estates?”
“What do you mean by that?” Charlotte said angrily.
No matter how good–tempered Charlotte was, she was completely irritated by Zachary at that
moment.
At the moment when Charlotte’s reason was torn apart, she realized that Gordon’s departure must have something to do with Zachary.
Charlotte thought Zachary did it on purpose.
Even though Charlotte already had the answer in her heart, she couldn’t help but ask at that moment, “Did you make him leave?”
Zachary looked at Charlotte, who was angry, and said, “It seems you are used to living here.”

Zachary used some force and Charlotte was already sitting on Zachary’s lap when she came back to her senses.
Charlotte was surprised.
Charlotte tried to push Zachary away with both hands and stood up.

However, the next second, Zachary grasped Charlotte’s wrist again. Charlotte fell into Zachary’s arms again.
Charlotte’s mind went blank at that moment. “You are shameless,” she said.
Then came the sound of slapping.
Since Charlotte was very angry, she slapped Zachary hard on the face.
Zachary became sullen immediately.
Since they met, Charlotte had slapped Zachary many times. No woman had ever dared to be so reckless in front of him.
Charlotte’s heart beat wildly.
“Get out of here!”
Charlotte said in a trembling voice.
Zachary’s eyes were deep.
