Chapter 43
The following day, Angel went to the JPIA office first before going to her class. She's still worried about how the others will treat her because of what happened yesterday. But she really needs to attend the meeting today. And so, she just gathered all the confidence she has and proceeded to their office.
Her anxiety increased when everyone looked at her as she entered the office. She just bowed down her head and went to her desk quietly.
She was surprised when Hannah suddenly appeared in front of her. She's smiling and her face seems so kind.
"Don't get embarrassed, Angel," Hannah started. "You didn't do anything wrong. For me, personally, you're not at fault. If you concealed your affairs with Bryan, it's your choice. Even celebrities and public personalities wants privacy, especially regarding their relationships. What more for a private individual like you?"
Angel was please at what Hannah said. The other officers also agree with what their president said.
"And if you tried to hide your affair from your parents, so what? We can't say you're a bad daughter, a bad person just because you did that. And we know you just resorted to that because you know your parents will get mad. No one can blame you. You just fell in love."
Angel smiled at what Hannah said.
"It's your personal life, and no one, no one in the entire CPRU should care and mess up with it. So whatever you do, as long as you don't hurt anyone, just go! That Gina, she's just someone who wants to assume. Bryan is normally super nice to everyone. She should not have assumed she's someone special to him."
Angel did not quite like what Hannah said. "Please don't say that. Yes, Gina did something bad, but who are we to judge her? She just really likes Bryan. Knowing Bryan de Vera, as you've said, he's really nice and sweet. So maybe, she really just misunderstood it."
"You know what, Angel? You're really too kind," Hannah said. "You the one who got humiliated, but you're still defending her. That's why you deserve all the best, you deserve Bryan."
"So you mean, Ms. President, that Bryan is the best?" asked one of the officers. "Well, does anybody object?"
No one did object. They all agreed to what Hannah said. That made Angel smile.
"I'm happy for you because I know Bryan de Vera is a good man," Hannah told Angel.
Angel was touched at what Hannah said. They are not really close, and she cannot even say they are friends. But right now she feels like they are her family.
"So, you're the 'Angel' that Bryan was talking about before he sang during the Mr. BS?" asked one of the officers.
Angel remembered that scene. She can't help but feel embarrassed especially when everyone started teasing her. Fortunately, their president intervened.
"Everyone! I know you're still hyped by the issue, but we need to talk about something important. Let's start with the meeting and I know some has their classes after."
Even though they still don't want to, everyone just kept quiet and proceeded with the meeting for that morning.

The same scenario happened when Angel entered their classroom. All her classmates are looking at her. She just sighed and tried to ignore everyone. She's getting quite used to this because that's also what happened when she walked in the corridor on her way to her class.
She immediately saw Bryan. He smiled at her and indicated the seat beside him. She smiled at him. She ignored her classmates' gazes and sat beside Bryan. Then suddenly, he took out a bouquet of white tulips from behind him. She looked at Bryan and she saw him smiling at her.
"For my girlfriend."
Angel smiled as she felt joy taking over her. "Thanks, Boyfriend," she reciprocated.
And the whole class gushed and cheered and squealed at their sweetness.
"You don't even talk to each other before. Then suddenly, you're in love?" asked one of their classmates.
"That's how it is. Love is sweeter if it's hidden," said another one.
"We don't have to search for another romcom TV series. It's already here, a real life romcom in our own class." "True to life!"
Everyone started talking about Angel and Bryan. And even though they are the topic of their conversation, Angel does not feel awkward or embarrassed anymore. She's surprisingly feeling at ease right now. For the first time, she felt she belonged. And that is because of Bryan.
She looked at the guy sitting beside her. He's smiling and joking with their classmates. Angel felt nice watching him. This guy is the reason why everything changed in her life. This guy is the reason why she's happy right now. Bryan looked at her and he saw her staring at him. And if Angel usually looks away, this time, she continuously stared at him. She even smiled. Bryan felt happy about it, and it made him smile.
Then suddenly, the whole class fell silent. Angel felt it was because of the person that had just arrived. She looked towards the door and saw Gina, with her two friends. So that's the reason why everyone stopped talking. Even she became quiet upon seeing her.

She suddenly felt someone held her hand. It was Bryan. She looked at him and he smiled. That made her smile, too. She felt kind of better because of that. "Why do I feel so uncomfortable in this room?" Gina suddenly asked. She obviously wanted everyone to hear that as she said it quite loudly.
"Maybe because the ambience is not good?" answered one of her friends.
They sat down on the first row.
"I know! Something doesn't smell good," said the other one.
"Maybe it's breath," said the other one.
The other friend smelled her breath. "I think you're right."
"And you really did smell it..." The other one was weirded out.
Gina is getting irritated with her friends, though she doesn't want to stop taunting her nemesis.
"I feel like... there's a bad spirit in here."
"Ghost?" asked one of her friends. At least she's aware about what Gina means.
But their other friend seems to be lost in translation. Or maybe, she's just really quite slow. "Ghost? There's a ghost in here?" She looked around with fear.
The whole class are getting annoyed with how Gina and her friends are acting. And so, they decided to continue teasing Angel and Bryan.
"Bry, since you're too happy, you should treat us at The Coffee Club!"
"That's right! Free coffee, Bry!"
And so, everyone started persuading Bryan, to which he eventually gave in.
"Okay, then. After the class this afternoon, let's go to The Coffee Club."

Bryan looked at Angel who seemed mused at what he did. He just smiled, then took her hand and kissed it. And the whole class gushed and swooned again.
"Do you really need to kiss her hand, Bry? Do you, really?"
And the teasing and gushing continued again.
"Ha!" Gina shouted as she stood up. "This place is too noisy! Let's get out of here, Girls! It's very irritating!"
Gina went out of the classroom followed by her two companions.
"Finally, they left," said one of Angel's classmate. "They shouldn't even be here."
"True," said another one. "They're not even BSA students like us."
And the bashing and trash talking about Gina continued. Which Angel didn't like. Yes, she doesn't like Gina, but it's not enough to speak ill of her. She still respects her as a person.
"Let's just let her be," she told her classmates. "Yes, she's not kind, but that's not enough for us to say bad things about her. Maybe, she's just going through something. It could be because of her family, or the friends she's with. Lots of influences. That's why she's like that. We don't know."
"You really are an angel on earth, Angel!" said one of her classmates. "You're the one who was humiliated, but you still speak nicely of her."
"I'm not perfect. But my dad said that it's not nice to say bad things about a person, especially at his back. If you don't like his attitude, tell it straight to his face. He is not the one at fault if people will talk about him, but rather, those people who speak bad words about him."
"I know now why Bryan fell in love with you," said one of their male classmates.
"Hey! Don't tell us you're attracted to Angel as well?" asked another male classmate.
"Oh no! Are you planning to steal her from Bryan?" asked one of their female classmates.
"That's not true!" said the male classmate in question.
"Wait!" Bryan said as he put Angel's hand on his chest near his heart. "This angel is all mine! Just mine!"
"There goes Bryan de Vera!"
The class went on a rumble as they teased the two lovers again. They would not have stopped if only their teacher did not arrive and started their lesson for that day.
