Chapter 13, Through the eyes of the Stars

Gambur bowed before the queen of Teseara, Evela who looked down on Gambur and then rested her hand on his hand. The relationship between the Eert and the Fairies have always been one that felt more akin to a farm boy picking fruits or a deer picking from a bush of berries. The Eert are tree folk, and the Fairies live amongst the trees. Gambur could even feel familiar scents from the trees on Teseara. During this Yui and a few of his soldiers along with the Monad!Man walked into the main hall where everything was taking place.

“Rise, tell me what you’re doing here.” Evela said as Gambur stood up.

“A few days ago, we received something from out beyond the universe, this.” Gambur said as he then took out a case containing the artifact of the Monad people. The Anti-Monad. Evela, Yui and the Monad!Man all looked in shock at the strange artifact.

“What is that? that...ominous energy...it reminds me of...of him.” Evela said.

“No, this feels...deeper...darker and emptier.” Yui said as his other men looked at it with fear and curiosity. The anti-monad glowed a sinister red glow that beat like a heart as its very presence felt like they were in the presence of a void.

“This was sent to the tower of Hurazu, from the monad people.” Gambur said.

“From my people?” Monad!Man said completely confused.

" You don’t recognize this?” Gambur asked

“No, I have no knowledge of this thing. Me and many others believed the ancients were always practicing on understanding the arts of the everlasting flow and ways of the universe.

But...you’re telling me they were messing with...this?” Monad!Man asked.

“I’m unsure, I’ve done all the research I could do with this, the only reason I know of it is likely due to one of my kind being aware of it as we all have a connection to each other. However, I have no true knowledge on what it is or how it works. However, I do know one thing...

It’s emitting the same kind of aura that the Dark One does.” Gambur said, Evela and Yui looked at each other and then the Monad!Man who was completely shaken up by this discovery.

“Is...is that why he attacked? Because they were tampering with things they shouldn’t have?

Am I to blame for the failure to save my people...or are they?

Why wasn’t I informed of such a crucial thing like this? Of its discovery!” Monad!Man thought to himself, his thoughts going millions of directions until Yui slapped his hand onto his shoulder snapping him out of his daze.

“Focus soldier, now isn’t the time to be spacing out.” Yui said, although reluctant to hear it from Yui Monad!Man nodded and focused back on the conversation.

“We need a better idea on this, I’m aware you scholars here. Do you think any of them would have perhaps a slight idea on how we can observe his better?” Gambur asked

“All our scholars have gone off world to travel the canvas for some secrets that they believe would better our race, however one did stay behind. Follow me.” Evela said as she walked down a stray hallway with everyone following her. They followed her outside the castle and towards a stray tower near the woods behind her kingdom, there they saw a large observatory on the top of the tower.

“Hes inside here, I need to set some extra precautions, I don’t need any outer forces from other worlds getting attracted to this.” Evela said as she then walked away leaving Yui, Gambur and the Monad!Man standing in front of the tower. As the men walked up the tower to the main level Yui stared at the anti-monad.

“That thing is freaky to look at.” Yui said

“No kidding, imagine my surprise when it was sent to our tower.” Gambur said

“How is Hurazu if you don’t mind me asking.” Yui asked

“Still the same, we haven’t had much in terms of activity in past couple years besides the random fairy visitor or elf come for a potion.” Gambur answered as they all eventually reached the top of the tower. Yui knocked on the door.

“Oh my goodness! Hold on just a minute! Gosh darn!” shouted a voice from the other side.

“Do you know this scholar?” asked Monad!Man

“Hm? Yea, His name is Dulle. Hes one of the older fairies among Evela’s people and even was here before she was born.

Hes known for a few things, but never really popular for discovering much of anything. Fairies aren’t really know for their intelligence, however he wanted to change that.” Yui said

“How’s that been working?” Monad!Man asked, but before Yui could talk back the door opened. They all looked down to see a short and very old man. Dulle was very wrinkly and wore a green and brown robe with a few patches on it. He wore an old hat and had on him some fairy jewelry too.

“Oh my, what are some young lads like you doing here?” Dulle asked

“I though fairies were immortal, why the hell is he so old?” Monad!Man asked

“Well you see thats a funny story.” Dulle smiled

“One I’m sure can wait, I need you to give us a fresh pair of eyes. I want you to look into this.” Gambur said as he brought the anti-monad up and almost immediately Dulle was fascinated with it. He then gestured for everyone to come inside. As they did, they all looked around to see Dulle’s quarters. His bed was off to the side while most of his space was entirely covered with astrology like works, literature an even a picture of the earth with a giant city floating above it. Yui closed the door behind them gently as he took off his blade and put it against the door. They all then walked over to a table where Gambur set down the anti-monad still in its casing. Dulle then got a microscope like device and began to inspect it.

“What can you tell us?” Gambur asked.

“Well its definitely not from around here.” Dulle said

“Thats obvious, I mean-”

“No I mean not from around here, as in this thing isn’t from our plane of existence. This thing is purely from some other place entirely.” Dulle said as he put on some wooden like glasses and got a closer look moving the container the anti-monad was in around. Monad!Man began to get impatient.

“Has he discovered anything yet?” He asked

“We just started, just give him a few more moments.” Yui said much to the Monad!Man’s displeasure. Dulle then looked to Gambur and gestured towards the anti-monad. Gambur hesitantly then popped open the top of it, nothing happened upon doing so. It was quiet for a short few minutes. Dulle then grabbed a random twig in his room and dropped it into the anti-monad to which it then completely vanished.

“Ah! I see.” Dulle said fixing his glasses.

“I think I get it too now.” Gambur said as he the used some his magic and tried to affect it, but it had zero effect on it.

“Fascinating, however this needs a much greater demonstration. Monad, come this way.” asked Dulle, Monad!Man walked over and looked at both of them.

“Would be so kind and try hitting this thing with all you got, yaknow without touching it.” Dulle asked as he fixed his glasses. Monad!Man looked at both of them and then created a ball of pure kinetic energy and fission. He then blasted the anti-monad with all of it while still having some control over it that way not to send everyone in the room flying. However, after the smoke cleared around them. The anti-monad was still unaffected.

“What in the hell...” Monad!Man said, they all were floored as they’re collected faces were painted with utter shock and surprise.

“So, did you get a conclusion from that?” Yui said as he walked over and Gambur closed the container, Dulle then sat down on a wooden chair.

“My only conclusion is this gentlemen, monads are meant to represent the start of everything. This thing is called the “anti-mona”. Meaning it must perhaps be, the end of everything.” Dulle said

“How?” Monad!Man asked

“Well without further studies whose to say, I’m gonna need some more time with it. However so far I would chalk this thing as being immensely powerful, like no joke or punchline here fellas.

Theres no other way to relate this thing to other than having some form of absolute erasure. It seemed completely unfazed by magic and science.” Dulle said.

“Absolute erasure?” Yui said confused.

“Yes, it means that this thing can destroy, erase or hell even wipe out anything regardless of immunity. However, that requires some more testing as it has yet to be tested on actual living things. I’ll need some more time to look through things. Mind lending me a few hands lads?” asked Dulle as they all nodded and continued to work with the scholar on figuring out the functions of the anti-monad.

However as that was happening, things back within the solar system to which earth laid in were beginning to get ready for a big change. The Moon looked out to all of earth and once again brought forth its vessel, a slim yet rocky silhouette. Apollo. Apollo looked out towards earth as puny construct. It then looked out towards other stars and distant systems in the far reaches of the galaxy. Apollo then zipped across the galaxy faster than light could ever go and would appear in front of whole other solar system, one that had two gas giants and couple of planets orbiting a red giant.

“My strength is returning to me. Once at full capacity no wizard will be able to combat me.” Apollo said as he then completely destroyed this solar system by crushing it into a singular point, completely poofying it out of existence. Apollo then used his mystical powers to take himself to the Arcanelands a place which was beyond dreams and imaginations of all worlds and races. He then looked around even though the concept of direction had no hold within this place. He then looked over to see a large broken statue. Once there he studied it and saw it was of The Spinner, or at best a form of the Spinner. It then looked down at the description and then back up.

"Well, look whose back and kicking again." said a voice behind Apollo, he turned around to see a cloaked figure wearing baggy pants and a staff in his lap as he floated behind him. The cloak covered their face.

"And just what are you doing back here? you know after your little encounter with the hero your pretty much forbidden from this place." said the cloaked figure, Apollo then vanished back onto the Moon leaving the stranger and the Arcanelands. After returning it then looked through the vastness of space.

"Soon, once the time is right. I'll strike them." Apollo said as it then returned back within the moon. The blue globe known as earth living to see yet another day.
