Chapter 129
Chapter 129 My Brother Was Not Here
Ethan was not a middle-aged man in his forties who didn't take care of his demeanor. He was very young, just in his early thirties. He founded the country's first private comprehensive medical institution, using almost the most advanced equipment and drugs. Afterward, he replicated successful cases in major first-tier cities, and the private hospitals under his name had spread all over the country. It was definitely not affordable for ordinary people, and the service was targeted at those rich people.
Chad and Grace lived there.
Anastasia's emergency treatment was also taking place there.
After exchanging pleasantries, Jaxon began to discuss important matters with Ethan.
It turned out that Jaxon wanted to be the first to introduce an intelligent surgical knife which was not yet on the market to Ethan's hospital.
This technology hadn't even appeared abroad. Although it had just finished its clinical trials, it presented a challenge to the hospital.
Anastasia could see Ethan's concerns, but she also saw his ambition.
This cooperation would definitely work.
More people gathered around, and the music also clattered in their ears.
Eleanor couldn't bear to go out to dance.
Soon, in the booth on the second floor, Tobias and Terence saw Anastasia and Jaxon sitting below at a glance. They occasionally lowered their heads to exchange something, looking very intimate. Terence's face was gloomy, and he snorted coldly, "This woman is really restless."
Tobias frowned slightly. "Our goddess is indeed popular!"
Then he stood up.
Terence frowned and looked at him. "Where are you going?"
"I'm going to drink with Anastasia, which is much more interesting than being with you."
Tobias snorted lightly, with a touch of arrogance, and was about to leave.
Terence couldn't help complaining, "Have you all been drugged? What's so good about this woman?"
Tobias paused his steps and turned to him jokingly.
"I think you're describing yourself. The woman you're keeping can't hide anymore. The prominent ladies in high society are always avoiding you.
"Bro, you're not someone who's obsessed with love either. Why are you so interested in that female student? And she even had your child?"
Terence froze slightly, and his face became a little unpleasant.
"What do you know about it? Get lost!"
He waved irritably.
Tobias playfully whistled and walked away.
He went to get a bottle of good wine and approached Anastasia's private booth with a smirk.
"Anastasia..."
Anastasia turned her head and saw it was him, subconsciously looking around vigilantly.
Tobias approached her and said, "My brother is not here. Don't worry!"
Anastasia smiled and looked at him.
"What are you here for?"
Tobias glanced at Jaxon, who was looking at him, raised his eyebrows, and said to Anastasia with a sunny smile, "I'm here to sing, drink, and relax. Want to taste my good wine?" He brought the wine over as if offering a treasure, poured a glass, and handed it over.
Anastasia pushed away and shook her head.
"I'm still taking medicine and can't drink alcohol."
Tobias took it back with regret and drank it all by himself with disappointment.
Jaxon glanced at Tobias with his gloomy eyes, approached Anastasia, and said, "It's getting late. Shall I take you back?"
Anastasia looked at the time and nodded.
"Alright then, let's go first. The driver is waiting outside."
Jaxon nodded and stood up while buttoning his coat, ready to send her to the door.
Tobias also followed them, running like a puppy.
Upon seeing Jaxon go to open the car door for her, Tobias immediately went over to squeeze his place, looked at Anastasia with a smile, and waved obediently. "Good night, Anastasia."
Anastasia waved her hand, and after Eleanor got into the car, she bent down to get in too. She then looked at him and asked, "Tobias, do you know what you look like now?" Tobias shook his head in confusion, his eyes flickering with innocence.
Anastasia said lightly, "Like a dog wagging its tail."
She smiled disdainfully, looked up at Jaxon, and waved her hands.
"Mr. Stanford, goodbye."
