Madam, Your Ex-Husband Is On Call

Chapter 128

Chapter 128 Find a Reason to Meet Her

She added, "Some time ago, Christian snubbed the Newton family, and they began to go downfall. Now that they had recovered, and they couldn't help but start looking for a marriage of convenience. They want to find a few more ways out."

Eleanor snorted and said sarcastically, "With Terence's condition, who in the prominent family would want him? What a wishful thinking!"

She paused, then suddenly remembered something, and looked at Anastasia.

"I heard that Christian found another son from abroad. This time it is probably true. He protected the child very well and didn't even show his face."

Anastasia smiled indifferently.

"What does it have to do with us? Anyway, I don't want to involve in that mess anymore."

She shrugged and sipped her coffee slowly.

Suddenly, her phone rang.

It was Jaxon.

"Anastasia, do you know Dean Ethan Gray?"

"Yes. I know him."

"I would like to ask you to refer me to him. Is it convenient for you to come to Fantasy Club now?"

It was rare for Jaxon to ask for help with such solemnly. Of course, Anastasia would not refuse him. "Okay, I'll be right there."

Anastasia stood up holding her coat and said to Eleanor, "Come on, let's go to the bar for a drink?"

Before Eleanor could react, she frowned and asked, "Why does Jaxon want to meet Dean Ethan Gray? Is he interested in the hospital?"

Anastasia frowned as she replied, "He works on medical equipment abroad, so there must be a chance for cooperation."

Eleanor nodded, still feeling strange, but she couldn't tell that feeling.

The two asked the driver to take them to Fantasy Club.

It was not completely dark yet. Therefore, there were not many people inside the bar, so it was quiet.

Jaxon sat alone in the seat in the northwest corner, watching the male singer singing folk songs on the stage.

The dim light and shadow shone on his face, causing half of his face to hide in the dark and appear overbearing and unattainable.

He seemed to be noticed her gaze, and when he turned his head, his face immediately turned soft and gentle as he stood up.

Anastasia and Eleanor walked over, and the bar owner came over with a smile and greeted, "Miss Duncan, you've come. Do you want to go to the private room upstairs?"

Eleanor often went there for entertainment, so the owner naturally reserved a private room for her.

Anastasia and Eleanor looked at each other, and then the latter said, "No need. We will be sitting in this deck."

The deck was well positioned.

Jaxon greeted Eleanor, then smiled and asked them to sit down.

"Dean Ethan Gray will be here in a while. I will feel more comfortable if you are here."

Eleanor couldn't help but smile and joke, "Mr. Stanford, you are a president of an international company. Would you be embarrassed to talk about this kind of small business? You want to find a reason to meet Anastasia, right?"

Jaxon lowered his head and smiled. His silence seemed to acquiesce in the question.

Eleanor blinked at Anastasia.

Anastasia stared at her helplessly, and said with a smile, "Mr. Stanford has helped me a lot, and I am very happy to help."

Jaxon looked at her gently and remarked, "No, you helped me a lot, Anastasia. Next time when you go abroad in the future, I will definitely entertain you well."

But no one took his words seriously.

Later, Ethan came. He knew Anastasia, so when he saw her, he became talkative.

"Ms. Graves, I didn't expect to see you here."

Anastasia smiled, went over to shake hands and greeted, "Mr. Stanford said you were coming. I thought I hadn't seen you for a long time, so I came to join in the fun. Hope you don't mind."

"I won't. I would have chosen a quiet restaurant if I knew you were coming. Mr. Stanford, you're too careless..."

Jaxon looked at Anastasia and smiled, "She won't mind."
