Lyall's Story

Chapter 7 cool off/scared

Lyall

I had heard Lucy go upstairs to get warmed up in a shower after talking to Lupe, but the loud noise made me concerned. Lupe and I gave each other a worried look and ran upstairs. When we found her in her bathroom passed out… I quickly grabbed a towel and scooped her up in my arms.

“Don’t worry Lucy, I will try to make this better,” I whisper to her and I held onto her. I suppose the news from last night overwhelmed her. Can’t say that I don’t blame her. I’ve grown up in this world and had a great relationship with my wolf, Lykos. For someone who grew up human, has no relationship with their wolf, and is whirled into this... I called our pack doctor, Doc Bader to come to Lucy’s house for an emergency and to come quickly.

“Lupe, go outside and wait for the doctor. Trust me you won’t miss him. He’s been the pack doctor for as long as I can remember.” Lupe runs off to wait for him and I stay by Lucy’s side. It was only a few more minutes until I heard Lupe talking to Doc Bader and rushing upstairs.

“Thank you for coming Doc. I wouldn’t have asked if it wasn’t necessary.”

“Anything for family, Beta Lyall. What happened?”

“Lupe, myself and Lucy were outside talking. When we came in, she naturally went to take a shower to warm up, maybe ten minutes into her shower she passed out. Has not woken up yet.” Doc Bader taking his mental notes and he starts an initial check-up on her.

“Werewolf or human?”

“Werewolf… brand new. Her wolf has been suppressed.” I see Adolphe sneak in behind us.

“I’m Lucy’s father, it’s good to see you again Doctor Bader. It’s been a long time.”

“You two know each other?” I’m very surprised. How did they know each other?

“Before becoming loyal to Wild Forest I used to be a French doctor, the pack doctor for Lune Noire… I guess the witch did a good job at wiping the kid’s memories…” He smiles at her dad and shakes hands with him.

“What!?” Lupe and I say in unison. That explains why he always looked like a musketeer…

“It’s true… he even brought all three of you kids into the world.” Adolphe smiles at the memory of that.

“I have seen none of you in about six years. You, Lupe, were close to entering your twenties, Lucy was mid-teens, and Louna was just a child. Let me look and see what’s wrong with our dear Lucy…” He takes a few minutes trying to figure out what’s wrong. “How long has she known about being a werewolf?”

“She found out last night,” I tell him seriously. I just wanted my mate back…

“Well, then my initial guess is that her wolf is trying to break free. The information overwhelmed her or maybe her wolf tried to make contact with her and it frightened her. Without Lucy telling us what happened, it’s the only speculation… I’m sorry but for now, all we can do is wait until she wakes.” We all wait on pins and needles as minutes turn to hours… hours turn to days… I’m getting more worried by the day wondering if I’ll ever have my mate back.
