Lyall's Story

Chapter 19 my plan

Mystery, a day prior/present

“So, do you have the potion ready? I’m about to leave for America.”

“Yes… unfortunately, it’s ready. The same potion I made for them years ago, but the way you want it… can’t believe I’m doing this to people who I thought were friends.” The witch actually looked sad, but I didn’t care she was mine to use.

“Yeah, well, some friend… start packing we leave tonight.”

My bag was packed for winter along with basic stuff for travel. I’ve been waiting for years to set this plan into motion… and now I’m finally going to get my girl back. The bear witch might come in handy so I figured she could come along. Finally… once she was ready and said goodbye to her precious mate, we got in the car and left for the airport. Once the fifteen-hour flight from Paris to the closest major city where she lived, we drove about two hours to finally find her small forest town. I got to admit they did a good job trying to hide from my family. I can see her through a window and growl when I see her with her mate… I should be with her… I see her pass out probably from whatever they said and her precious mate takes her to her room. I follow them to find out which window is hers. I stay and watch her for hours… I follow her for days memorizing her daily routine. She didn’t really go anywhere except to her precious shop, her parent’s house, and her mate’s pack. Not much but I can definitely work with that. She has an excellent support group maybe if I wanted to get her attention I’d go after someone she loves… going after the alpha or luna would be stupid and a big mistake, going after her mate is too obvious… maybe her family? Hmm… perfect…

Days turn to weeks and I keep stalking her. She goes and does her business, but her brother trains with her mate ugh gag me, and her sister goes to a local high school. I can definitely make this work… I follow her to her school, and when the school day is done in the early afternoon, I wait for her to come out.

“Hi, Lou?” She stares at me shocked and stops in her tracks.

“Yeah, who’s asking?” Probably out of nervousness she holds onto her backpack.

“I’m a friend of Lucy’s. She asked me to pick you up for her.” I try to be friendly towards her to gain her trust.

“No thanks, I can walk home.” She walks around me but I block her. “Let me pass, please.”

“I really mean no harm, just let me take you home.”

“No, thank you. I can walk.” She tries to walk around me again, but I block her again. Now she’s getting pissed which could trigger her shift if she hasn’t yet.

“Fine… if you don’t want to do this the nice way, then I can be dirty.” I put a rag filled with chloroform on her face and soon she’s passed out and I take her to my car. I jot a note for her family and leave it on the front porch. I drive to an isolated part of the woods and luckily the bear witch made a cabin for us quickly. Now that I have her sister, she’ll want to get her back of course… it’ll only be a matter of time before she’s mine…

Lucy

Once I come to, I tried to take things easy, but I needed to go back to the shop. Lyall tried to stop me, but I needed to clear my head. I came home early from a slow day at work, and I find a strange note on the porch.

“Come alone, tell no one. I have your sister, Louna. She’s really pretty… it’d be a shame if something were to happen to her if you could do something, Lucy. It’s simple really… a trade… you for Lou. I’ll meet you in the woods near your house when you make your decision by tonight.”

My face goes pale… this jerk has my sister! Nobody messes with family! What am I going to do? Ok… think… from what I remember of my training I shouldn’t go alone and I need a plan from what Aurora and Oliver have told me… but how the heck am I going to have a backup plan if I’m supposed to go alone?? I’m almost panicking… I try to calm down, but I think Lyall could sense my panic. I could hear him come downstairs and found me outside.

“What’s wrong, Lu?”

“Someone took Lou! What are we going to do?!” I scream at him with worried and scaredness. I wrap my arms around him and start crying.

“Ok, first we need to figure out a plan.”

“I can’t tell anyone otherwise this jerk is going to hurt her!”

“Let me see the ransom note…” I handed it to him and I can tell the wheels in his head are turning. “Ok… so we could still have a backup group, but we can be in the background if you need us.”

That calmed my nerves some, but I still wished they were coming with me. Well, guess we’ll see how much I paid attention while training. As much as I wanted to talk it over with someone, I need to figure this out myself. I could hear the others coming behind me but I had to run… I was maybe just barely outside the backyard when I heard something or someone. I hoped it was just someone from my pack coming to check in on me, or an animal. I was feeling uneasy, so I figured stepping closer to the house would be a good idea… Scarlett was growling which made me growl. If it was an animal, they’d probably just run away if it was someone, I knew they’d most likely say something. I didn’t hear any snow crunching or branches breaking so I didn’t think it was a person. Slowly creeping towards the house, I figured I was clear to have my moment of clarity, but before I could breathe my sigh of relief someone came from behind me and the next thing I know, I’m not in the backyard anymore…
