Love is Weakness. [1]

To say I'm surpised when I see her hit Duncan in the face is an understatement. I smile for a minute, untill I see her running.

'Son of a b...' Duncan curses.

I run forwards past him.

'Stay here' I growl.

I chase her in normal human speed, but I quickly see that I have to nodge things up.

She's fast. My wolf says proudly. He jumps up and down in excitement. Playtime, I love it.

This is not playtime. I should have been explaining to her now. I knew I shouldn't have gotten her water without explaining first. But when she said I kidnapped her I couldn't help but laugh. My mate thinks I kidnapped her. As if I want her. I notice her running faster and I actually start admiring her for her speed. I keep going after her. I want her to get to the woods. A little cat and mouse game she is bound to lose. When she hits the woods I see her running even faster. And for a second the thought crosses my mind, is she a wolf? Impossible, I would have smelled it on her.

I would have seen her wolf. I bet she'd be pretty.

I role my eyes and hit the woods myself. Her path leaving a beautiful scent. I follow her but not too close. I dash forward and suddenly her scent fades. I stop and and turn around. She took a right turn, the little jinx. A smile forms on my lips, I like this way too much. Her scent becomes stronger, so I stop running. She is close, is she hiding somewhere? I walk slow, making sure I don't step on anything that could give out my location. I stop to take a look around. Then I see a familiar black t-shirt.

She is smart.

I stand there looking at her a little. I see she used her brown hair to cover her pale face. It is indeed very smart. Any ordinairy man would have lost her. If they didn't already when she took a right turn. Suddenly she moves. For a second I doubt wheter to hide or not. 'Love is weakness' my father strikes me again. He is damn right, I should get her the hell home. She moves her hair from her face and looks me straight in the eyes.

'Are you done running and ready to let me explain?' My annoyence slips through.

I don't care tho, I have to get her away before the pact finds out I found my Luna. After some battle she walks in front of me. She has a strangly good sense of direction for a woman and a human. I say nothing, still a little annoyed about our conversation. Thinking I kidnapped her, pffft. I might not want her but I would never kidnap her or harm her. I watch her from behind, she walks in a fast pace. Suddenly I see her flex her muscles. Not again. She starts running, but before she can get far I grab her by the waist. I turn her around quickly and lower my face to her.

'Do. Not. Fucking. Run. Again.' I spit in her face.

She seems unfazed but nods.

She'll probably run again.

I think about his words for a second. Her eyes roam over my face waiting for me to act. So I do. I pick her up and throw her over my shoulder. She screams and kicks.

'Let me go! I will not run again. Put me down right fucking now.'

I hold her a little tighter and keep walking. My patience has run out. The doctor is probably already waiting. I have to get back to my pack and she needs to get the fuck home. I send Duncan a mindlink asking him if the doc is there yet. Duncan confirms that he is. I command him to tell the doctor I will be there in a minute, so Duncan can leave. He doesn't respond but I know that he obeys.

When we walk up to the house Stacia finally stops kicking. We walk through the same glass door as we came out of and put her on the couch next to the doc. I see her eyeing him carefully.

'Hello doc, nice to see you again.' I shake the docs hand.

'Nice to see you too, mr Emissos. I hope nothing is wrong.' He smiles back while taking my hand. I sit down on one of the chairs and gesture the doc to do the same. He sits down, never once laying eyes on the girl next to him. He knows better.

'I found her in an alley last night. Someone tried to rape her, but I pulled him off. However she appeared to be drugged. I brought her here and let her sleep. This morning she woke up not knowing where she was. When she tried to run I jumped in front of her. She collapsed to hard into me and lost consciousness again.'

I hear her suck in her breath. I look at her seeing her looking back at my paler then before. The doc nods and grabs some stuff in his bag. He turns around to her and smiles.

'My name is dr. Vince, but you can call me Stan, by my first name. Is it okay if I listen to your heartbeat a little?'

Stacia is still looking at me in shock. I nod slowely and she follows my lead. The doc takes that as a yes and places his stethoscope over her heart. He listens to her heart while checking the time on his watch. Stacia is still starring at me, I see the battle in her eyes.

Hold her hand, kiss her.

I growl at my wolf. I must have made a facial expression because suddenly her face hardens. She looks away from me to the doc. Suddenly I'm jealous of him that he gets to touch her. Fuck, I really need to get her out of my life.
