Love Is Colder than Death

Chapter 16 Her Trick

Jun Mohan stretched his palm, there lied a pure white clear jade flute, a phoenix's image which was about to get off was carved on it.

The snow was panic, but she pretended to be delighted, "Wow, it is here! That's great... Did you just mention that you want me to play you a song? So I just have it fetched from the Dragon Palace. I kept it by my side when you were away... But I thought it fell from the cliff. I thought I lost it... Thank you, Mohan, it is not missing!"

Then she reached to take the flute.

But he withdrew his hand back and asked coldly, "Then why I took this flute from Phoenix?"

"What?" She was stuck, then she just held his hand and explained, "I remembered it was her that grabbed it from me when we were at the cliff. She was very scary like she was cursed by a devil... Mohan, did she say something to you? Don't believe her, she..."

"That's enough!" Jun Mohan's head ached like hell. "How could she say something? She is still in a coma!"

"Tell me, you said it was Phoenix that ordered Asmodian soldiers to push you down the cliff. But why you were safe and sound while she was wounded like that? When Phoenix was in the Fairy prison, you had constantly come there and stayed for two or three hours each time. You really think I don't know what you have done in my place?"

Who was plotting all of these in the dark? First, it was to frame Phoenix into prison, then putting on a show that Asmondian soldiers tried to save Phoenix, invaded into the prison, and attacked the Fairy Court.

He looked at Snow, suddenly he felt she was a stranger. Was she the same girl that was a kind and meek girl in his memory?

Maybe Phoenix was right.

He had never seen it clearly.

"Mohan... I have only come to visit her twice..." Snow uttered in a sad voice. She looked him into the eyes with a doubtful expression, "Are you suspecting me? Yeah... I know... three hundred years have passed, you have your Phoenix. I shouldn't have come to see you in the first place..."

"But don't you really remember your friendship? That hut by the West Sea..."

"I saved you with my own power and the Dragon Ball. But I was punished by my father when I got back and was grounded for one hundred days..."

"I didn't know that you had come to the West Sea to propose to marry me. My father was determined to marry me to the fifth prince of the Celestial Emperor. I was not willing to but I couldn't do anything. After I finally set free from all of these, I came to look for you, but everything has changed... I know... I can't have your love... Is that right?"

Snow gave an extremely sad expression, and shed some tears, which made her words more convincing.

"I'm sorry, Seven..."

"That's alright. She's the phoenix girl of the Celestial people. She's so elegant and noble, not like me... You and she are really suitable. Mohan, I quit... I wish you two have a happy life together..." "Seven." Jun Mohan suddenly felt sorry for her. Maybe he shouldn't suspect Snow? Was he being too hasty? She's Seven, he couldn't suspect her for some not proved clues...

"Mohan, a relationship could only bear two people. So just let me leave... In this way, you might not have to feel be in a quandary... You don't have to say sorry. Treat her well and I'll be contented... Even I shouldn't have... come to see you at the very first moment..." Her tears slid down from her cheeks. She was clutching her hands as if suffering an agony. But in the end, she took a last loving glance at him, turned away and left.

Jun Mohan's eyes fixed on her back. His lips twitched, but he'd made up his mind and said, "Seven, I owe you. I didn't know my heart. If you or your West Sea people need anything in the future, I'll be there to help you."

She didn't turn around. Her face was twisted because of great rage and jealousy.

Unexpectedly, she lost in this love game!

She thought Jun Mohan would come back to her as long as she mentioned their past.

She redeemed this could definitely exert some efforts for her, at least Jun Mohan would believe her and fall for her again.

It never occurred to her that Mohan really accepted letting her go! So he's determined to be with Phoenix, right?

Well...

"Very good! Jun Mohan, now that you don't consider my feelings, don't blame what I do in the future!"
