Love Is Colder than Death

Chapter 15 Phoenix, You Mustn't Die!

After they left, the chamber seemed even more empty.

Jun Mohan fixed his eyes on her pale face. She had been cut from head to toe to draw her blood. There were even several scars cut by the knife on her face. His heart ached again when he thought of her blood-soaked gown and all her gray hair when he placed her on the bed.

When he saw her falling in front of him, he was all blank and then there only picture he could see was her smile.

He was only a few steps away from the bed, but it took him a long time to get closer to her as if his feet were pulled by huge stones.

He reached out his hands carefully, caressed her cheek and murmured, "Phoenix, can you please wake up? Just wake up, I'll never let you go."

The girl was in her serene sleep. Her pitiful little face extended another kind of charm.

Jun Mohan continued, "Are you pretending like this? Are you blaming me? You hate what I did to you... Do you really have to punish me this way? You did it... Now my heart aches, every time I take a breath, it will hurt me a lot..." "Did you ask me have I fallen for you?" Jun Mohan smiled bitterly, "For many times, I just couldn't hold myself back so I did these wrong things to you. Phoenix, I get it now but it is too late..."

He couldn't stop quivering.

"Phoenix... I don't wanna you die..."

"Phoenix... You mustn't die..."

He repeated calls for her. His voice became more and more hoarse... then he just held her in his arms tightly.

Phoenix fell into an endless dream. She could hear some noises and someone calling for her, but she just felt annoying. After a long period of time, she felt she was embraced tightly by someone. But she could still feel the extreme cold, permanent cold...

When holding her lifeless body, he bore a complicated mood. He touched down to her abdomen unconsciously, where there was a little fragile life.

He was extremely thrilled and moved--this is his baby, it belongs to him and Phoenix.

"Pa-ka" There came a sound, he looked down and noticed that something had fallen from her hands and landed onto the floor.

Jun Mohan was astonished by what he saw--the white jade flute he gave Seven!

But why it was in Phoenix's palm?

The flute was exquisite and small. He even didn't find it being clutched in her hand.

Back then, he had sensed something bad was happening in the Fairy Land. And he felt the calling of this flute on his way back home so that he could arrive at the cliff on time. This jade flute...

Was what he gave Seven when he was about to leave. He even taught her a song and said that if she ever encountered any difficulties in the future, he would just come to her side as long as she played the flute. That day, he heard Phoenix played that song with a bamboo leaf on that stone bridge.

Jun Mohan ran out of the chamber like crazy but couldn't take any glimpse of Snow.

Then he walked unconsciously into that garden and stared at those petals on the ground blankly.

Soft steps came from behind, he didn't turn around.

"Mohan..." A pair of soft hand slowly embraced his waist, "Can't you believe that Phoenix has allied with the Asmodians? I can't believe what happened... but she must have her reasons..."

She was discreet but terrified.

She was not sure what Jun Mohan was thinking, so she acted all that carefully.

But he shook her hands off as if he was stung by something.

He stared at Snow in front of him very carefully for the first time.

She came to his side and warmed his heart that had been lonely for three hundred years. She came to his side, which made him feel contented and thrilled. But he never doubted her.

"Mohan?' Snow turned immediately pale after being pushed away by him. She gazed at him helplessly.

"Mohan, are you feeling well? Are you stuck by her condition? Mohan... don't be like this... you have me..."

"Seven, please explain, why this jade flute is here?"
