Love Comes To Me

Chapter 99: Hector Rogers can only be hers

Solomon didn't take long to fall asleep and it was a night that Hector Rogers barely closed his eyes all night, well at dawn Eloise Thompson's fever went down and he couldn't sustain it any longer and closed his eyes and fell asleep. A few hours later, Eloise Thompson woke up and opened her eyes and was confused.

The handsome face magnified before her eyes nearly short-circuited her brain, and Eloise Thompson rubbed her eyes, thinking for a moment that she was dreaming.

What is this...?? Why is Hector Rogers here?

Eloise Thompson gingerly broke out of his arms, Hector Rogers was sound asleep and unresponsive with his eyes closed, but it was Solomon who woke up next to him and happily exclaimed, "Auntie Eloise, you're awake, how are you? Is there anything else wrong?"

Eloise Thompson blushed slightly as she nodded, though she vaguely felt weak in the limbs and dizzy in the head.

"What's happening to me?"

"You had a fever last night and we couldn't wake you up, we were so worried, daddy took care of you all night!" Solomon spoke up in reply.

It was only then that Eloise Thompson vaguely remembered that this was indeed the case.

So Hector Rogers hadn't slept a wink all night? No wonder he was sleeping so deeply. Eloise Thompson was sorry for all the trouble she had caused him, but she was more touched than anything else.

After a pause, she spoke softly to Solomon, "I'm better, let's keep it down so you don't disturb your daddy's sleep."

Solomon nodded good-naturedly.

With that said, Eloise Thompson was ready to pick him up and get out of bed.

Hector Rogers is a light sleeper though, and Eloise Thompson was just getting up when he woke up.

Eloise Thompson gave a beat, and all that could be heard was his dark voice speaking inquiringly, "Better?"

As all three were still sitting on the bed, Eloise Thompson felt strange somehow and she nodded awkwardly, "I'm fine, I heard Solomon say you looked after me all night, thank you."

Although Eloise Thompson had said she was fine, Hector Rogers was still unsure. He reached out and touched her forehead, his large palm was warm on it, and Eloise Thompson couldn't help but think of the ambiguous position they had been in when she woke up, and her face flushed.......

The temperature on his forehead was normal and Hector Rogers was relieved.

Eloise Thompson's heart beat happier yet, just then there was a knock at the door and Eloise Thompson spoke hurriedly, "I'll get it."

With that she walked off the bed with Solomon in her arms, as if she had run away.

Probably because she was still awake or because she had a fever, Eloise Thompson opened the door to see Hector parents, Reeva Lawson and Rupert Rogers standing outside.

At the sight of a few people, Eloise Thompson was stunned, only then reacting to the fact that she had just woken up with nothing tidy and a mess, as was Solomon in her arms, and... Hector Rogers, who was not slow to follow behind her. He was loosely dressed in his pyjamas and all three looked like they had just gotten out of bed, a picture that was bizarre in every way.

Eloise Thompson was instantly embarrassed.

Instead, Solomon in his arms even smiled and spoke up to greet him, "Good morning grandparents."

"Morning baby!" Matriarch Godbold spoke in reply.

They looked a bit strange, they had come over to look for Solomon, but they didn't expect to see this scene ....

Reeva Lawson blushed slightly, and the hand at the edge of her skirt couldn't help but clench.

Hector Rogers was in Eloise Thompson's room? Were they sleeping together last night? Reeva Lawson gritted her teeth, jealous, wanting to tear Eloise Thompson apart in front of her.

She composed herself and stood aside without saying anything.

In contrast to the strange looks of the other three, Rupert Rogers, with an ambiguous face, spoke up as if nothing had happened, "Miss Eloise, I heard you had a fever last night, are you better?" Matriarch Godbold snapped back and followed suit, "Yes Miss Eloise, we know about last night too, we didn't expect it to happen, I'm so sorry, are you alright?"

Matriarch Godbold still looked a little mixed up, how she hadn't expected so many incredible things to happen at a birthday party.

Eloise Thompson rushed to speak, "Auntie, Rupert, I'm fine now, I'm the one who should be apologising, I'm sorry for the trouble I caused."

"How can I blame you for that? It's our Rogers family's fault that you almost lost your life."

Rupert Rogers interrupted after a few pleasantries, "All right, everyone's fine, the ship's docked, brother, so you can pack up and go."

Hector Rogers nodded and looked at Eloise Thompson and spoke, "Go and change first, you'll be sent back later."

"Hmm." Eloise Thompson responded, and then carried Solomon back to the room.

Hector Rogers is also back next door.

The Hector parents looked at the back of Hector Rogers as he left, but finally asked Rupert Rogers, "Did your brother spend the night in that room yesterday?"

Is he and Eloise Thompson already having a relationship? Has the relationship between the two really reached the point of no return?

Rupert Rogers said indifferently, "It's only a matter of time, what's the big deal!"

Matriarch Godbold reached out and hit him, "What do you mean sooner or later, it's not even close!"

Rupert Rogers bristled, "Soon soon soon."

The way things were going, it was only a matter of time before his brother and sister-in-law got together and Rupert Rogers took his mother's hand and said, "Mum, why don't you just leave it alone and wait for my brother to get married?" Matriarch Godbold sighed, how could they not care, with Eloise Thompson having such a complicated background and being involved with the Gardner family and the Thompson family, how could they be comfortable with someone like that, staying with Hector Rogers and Solomon, let alone How could they be comfortable with such a person staying with Hector Rogers and Solomon, let alone marrying into the Rogers family?

But right now this development seems to be out of their hands as well.

...

Once ready, everyone got off the boat.

Hector Rogers opened the car door and gave Eloise Thompson a lift home, ignoring Reeva Lawson directly on the sidelines.

Reeva Lawson stood still, looking in the direction the car had left, her fingers clenched tightly, her eyes full of resentment.

What is it about this woman Eloise Thompson that makes Hector Rogers treat her like this, Esme Lawson on the side spoke up even more angrily, "Cousin, look at that woman, what right does she have to sit in Hector's passenger seat! And she let Hector drive her home, what a bitch!"

With last night behind her, Esme Lawson was so over it that she spoke up again after finishing in a huff, "Cousin, wait until I find out where that woman works, I'll teach her a lesson."

She didn't believe it, it was just a jilted young lady, she couldn't give her a hard time.

"That's enough, didn't you have enough trouble last night? Still want me to clean up your mess?" Reeva Lawson's cool voice spoke up to scold.

"I ... cousin, I'm not just looking over my shoulder. If this goes on, sooner or later the man that belongs to you will be taken away from you by that woman." Esme Lawson whispered. "It's not possible."

Reeva Lawson had a hint of gloom in her eyes; Hector Rogers could only be hers.
