Love Comes To Me

Chapter 447: He's Mine Sooner or Later

After a while, Solomon came running from the distance and Eloise pulled him inside.

Egbert came over again at this point and said to Eloise, "The feast will be starting in a few minutes, so I'll show you to a quieter place." "Good."

Eloise gave him a slight smile, her eyebrows arched in a playful and pretty way.

Egbert was lost in thought and a look of fascination passed through his eyes.

Then, extremely quickly, he covered it up again and returned to his usual gentle appearance.

Egbert looked at her and suddenly smiled.

She is doing well now, looking even more beautiful than she did then, and it is clear that she is happy with that man.

That was enough, as long as she was happy, he could let go, Egbert thought a little sourly, a little ruefully.

"Brother Egbert!" A clear, female voice suddenly interjected, also pulling Egbert's thoughts back.

Eloise had just noticed that there was a girl standing next to Egbert.

It seemed like he was very close to him, except Egbert didn't introduce himself and she was too embarrassed to ask.

"Hi, I'm Eloise," Eloise said, introducing herself.

The girl smiled nicely, "Hello sister, I've actually heard of you for a long time, Egbert's brother said you were coming over today and I was so looking forward to it." Eloise kept her smile, the girl was too enthusiastic.

But somehow she didn't particularly like it, she always felt that her smile was, well, a bit fake.

She looked to Egbert and waited for him to introduce the girl.

Egbert, however, was never quoted, and Eloise said nothing more.

After a few more words, Egbert left.

He was the star of the feast today and had to go and greet the other guests, so he couldn't stay here all the time.

The girl watched Egbert leave, the smile fading from the corners of her mouth and her features instantly snapping into focus.

There was no trace of the good natured look in her eyes, they were domineering and hostile, "You are married, stay away from brother Egbert."

Eloise froze for a moment, then laughed.

It's quite impressive, the face change, the Oscars should really give her a small gold medal.

Eloise said lightly, "I don't know in what capacity you're coming to me with this comment, Alumni's girlfriend? He doesn't seem to have mentioned it to me."

The girl blushed, her expression heartfelt and tinged with a hint of shame, and said viciously, "Sooner or later he'll be mine."

"Good luck then, and a word of advice by the way, you're quite a good actor, you should go into show business."

With that, Eloise turned her head away and ignored her again.

"So annoying." Solomon pouted, puffing out her little face.

Eloise looked down, pinched his puffed up cheeks and said cheerfully, "Solomonbe, who hates it?"

"That aunty, she bullies mummy, nasty." Solomon clutched Eloise's hand, upset that he didn't like people talking about Mummy like that.

A wave of warmth ran through Eloise's heart as she picked Solomon up in her arms and gave him a resounding kiss on the cheek.

"Mummy just won, no one can bully me."

Solomon's expression eased a little, still clenching his little fist, and said seriously, "When I grow up, I'll protect Mummy, and I'll beat up anyone who bullies Mummy." "Yeah, well, I thank you in advance baby."

Eloise's anger at being touched for no good reason vanished into thin air at Solomon's innocent, childish words. What the hell, do what you like.

It's just that it's a pity about Alumni, who is a very nice person, and if he really looks at that kind of woman, I'm afraid it won't be easy for him in the future.

I had the intention of reminding her, but on second thought, she was in no position to interfere in such matters.

Eloise glanced in Egbert's direction and said a silent prayer, hoping that Alumni would recognise it for herself.

Egbert finished greeting a circle of people and rejoined Eloise.

Noticing something not quite right in the atmosphere, he was suspicious and gently asked Eloise, "What's wrong?"

Eloise smiled faintly, "It's fine."

Egbert looked again at the girl on the other side, who had long since regained her harmless appearance and dutifully handed Egbert a glass of water. With bright eyes, she said gently, "Brother Egbert, you are thirsty, drink some water."

"Good." Egbert took the water and took a sip.

The girl took advantage of this and gave a provocative look to Eloise, who did not pay any attention to her.

The party lasted until 9pm and Solomon was already dazed and nestled in Eloise's arms.

He slept restlessly because it was too noisy and he kept frowning a little.

Eloise was distraught and she refused Egbert's offer to put Solomon to bed on the sofa.

The insisted on holding Solomon until they were ready to go singing and decisively chose to go home.

After saying goodbye to Egbert, Eloise got into the car with Solomon in her arms.

Midway through, Solomon woke up a little and called out vaguely, "Mummy ..."

Eloise raised her hand, blocking the street light shining in through the car window, and said softly, "Go to sleep, baby, we're going home."

The car arrived at the villa and Eloise couldn't bear to wake him up and carried him inside.

Mrs Matriarch was still awake, keeping watch in the living room, and seeing this appearance, asked, "What's the matter here?"

Eloise whispered, "Fell asleep, exhausted from the day."

A look of distress passed through Mrs Matriarch's eyes and she came over to look at Solomon's face.

He looks so cute and cute when he is sleeping.

"And really, like little pigs."

Mrs Matriarch lost her smile, looked up and was about to speak to Eloise when she saw her looking a little distressed, "Mum, my hands are sore, give Solomon a hug for me." Eloise couldn't hold on any longer and she felt that one more minute and she might have to collapse.

"Fine, fine." Mrs Matriarch responded in quick succession, picking up Solomon, Eloise's hand, already numb and almost senseless.

Mrs Matriarch complained to her, "You child, just wake him up if you can't hold him, why are you spoiling him so much?"

Eloise rubbed her arm and smiled bitterly, "Mum, Solomon is sleeping so soundly, I can't bear it."

Mrs Matriarch was distressed to see that she was still wearing her heels and shot her a look, "Don't do that again, if you fall, both of you will get hurt."

With that said, she was quite happy that Eloise was so protective of Solomon.

She had worried before that her son would be bad for his grandson if he took a wife, but now it seems as if she doesn't have to worry about that.

Solomon was nestled in his grandmother's arms, sleeping soundly and occasionally mumbling something. When Mrs Matriarch listened carefully, she heard him whispering, "Mummy, Mummy ...". In Mrs Matriarch's eyes, tears glistened.
