Last Christmas?

The 3 of us continued traveling and talking for a while, and Malin and Enki had to get some sleep at one point, but I still seemed to not need sleep since I was a snowwoman.

As they slept, I checked out the little library that was on the ship, and I picked out a book to read.

It was a collection of stories, and I opened it up and began to read the first one.

“Once upon a time, there was a little girl and a little boy who were writing up their Christmas lists.

Both of them asked for lots and lots of presents, and Santa was determined to give them everything that they’d asked for.

And Santa did indeed give them all of the items on their lists; and those items were 3 puppies, 2 bikes, 2 game consoles, 5 large snakes, 62 small mice to feed to the snakes, 15 dragons, 2 hot air balloons, 13 toy trucks, 1 skateboard, 3 boxes of cereal, 5 cans of soda, a fountain of life, 2 castles in the sky, 3 rainbows, 17 toy soldiers, 2 fridges that get restocked with yummy food and drinks every time you reopen them, and crowns that would make them the rulers of the world.

Santa gave them all of these things, and these two kids now ruled the world from their castles in the sky.

And they all lived happily ever after.

The End”

“Well…” I thought, “That’s one story from this book. Let’s see what happens in the next one…”

And so I read further on in the book, and had almost finished it when Enki and Malin woke up.

Since the other two were awake now, I put the book away and I went over to them to eat and drink as we planned.

Not that we really did much planning to speak of, mind you. It seemed that either Zelly would help us or she wouldn’t.

We traveled for a few more hours, and then we reached where Zelly was on Tockta; and we exited the ship, ran up to Zelly, and Enki asked her if she could undo a powerful mind-control spell.

“Mind control, eh?” she said, as she offered us some food which we all ate and said was delicious!, “Yes, I can make you a potion that’ll undo the mind-control spell. You’ll just have to slip it into something that the person’s going to drink, and then once the person drinks it then the mind-control will be lifted. I’ll even give you the potion free of charge since it’s Christmas!”

Zellly then got out her magic wand, and she did some sort of spell that caused a little glass bottle that had liquid in it to pop! into the air in front of us!

Malin managed to dive and catch it before it could fall, and Enki gave Zelly a Christmas gift that Zelly seemed to like very much!

“This could assist me in helping the Tocktians solve the case that they’re working on!” she said gratefully, “Thanks, and Merry Christmas!”

The three of us then exchanged fond farewells with Zelly; and Enki, Malin, and I all got back into the spaceship and headed back towards Earth!…
