Last Christmas?

As we traveled back to Earth, we tried to plan out how we would get the Princess to drink the potion that Zelly had given to us.

“Her tower is very well-guarded, especially since so many of the royals were murdered so recently.” Enki said soberly, “Also, we must assume that Krampus is already living at the tower with her, and that means that we’ll have to fight Krampus too.”

“This means that we should probably join forces with the fairy godmother, doesn’t it?” I suggested, to which Malin nodded and said that, “I don’t really trust her, but she definitely has the same goal as us, and will presumably be a good asset on this mission.”

“Okoy,” Enki agreed, “I’ll transport over to her abode once we reach my fortress, and then she’ll presumably agree to help us and the two of us will return to you two.

Don’t go opening doors and whatnot while I’m gone though! I’ll show you where to wait while I’m gone, and please just wait there without messing with any magic doors and/or items in the meantime.”

“Fair enough,” I agreed, “and so what comes next after we get the fairy godmother on board?”

“Well,” Enki said, “the two of us should be powerful enough to transport all four of us into an unoccupied room in Princess’s tower, and I shall disguise myself as one of her servants and find an opportunity to offer her a drink that has the potion mixed into it.”

“I’ve read in a magazine that her favorite drink is pomegranate juice!” Malin told Enki, “Which means that we can probably prepare the drink before we head to the tower, though we’ll still need to transfer the potioned juice into one of her royal goblets before you disguise yourself and offer the drink to her.”

“I do wonder though,” I said uncertainly, “does it even make sense for the rest of us to come along? I mean, might we just get in the way?”

“You 3 will be the distraction!” Enki beamed happily, “See, the fairy godmother will cause a frog or some such being to take my form, and the four of you will make a big ruckus as if you are trying to capture the Princess and Krampus.

Krampus and the royal army will fall for this, and I’ll deliver the drink to the Princess while Krampus and the royal army are off fighting you four.

Once I’ve completed my mission, I’ll transport over to where y’all are, and the fairy godmother and I will use our magic to transport us all back to my fortress.

Krampus and the army will think that they’ve scared us all off, though they might be confused because of how another Enki had suddenly popped up out of nowhere.

Then, the 5 of us will all transport over to where the Princess is, and we’ll explain to her about what just happened.

Because she’ll have already consumed Zelly’s potion, she won’t be mind-controlled anymore; and it’ll be everyone vs. Krampus, which’ll mean that Krampus will go scurrying off to his castle to hide once he figures out what’s going on.”

“That sounds like a pretty good plan!” Malin said enthusiastically, and I voiced my agreement that Enki’s plan seemed pretty spot-on, and the 3 of us continued working out more specifics and talking about other various things as we continued to head back towards Earth…
