Last Christmas?

Chapter Hope

The three of us wasted no time in heading over to Enki’s spaceship, and we soon got in and blasted off!

As we sailed through the air, I told Malin about everything that’d happened since we’d last seen each other.

“I’m glad that you managed to break free of the mind-control!” he said in a serious tone of voice, “I’d be madder at you for how you were when you were mind-controlled, but I’m not mad at the Princess for what she’s done while she’s been mind-controlled, and so it wouldn’t be fair for me to be mad at you either.”

I then asked him about what’d happened to him since we’d last seen each other.

“Well,” he began, “the Princess and I were in the two separate dungeons, but were able to converse with each other.

I told her that I was trying everything that I could to break out, and I was indeed slamming! my turtle shell against the sides of the dungeon and hoping that I’d somehow create an exit.

Suddenly!, though, the fairy godmother came and transported us away to safety!

Well, I had thought that it would be to safety, anyway; but to my dismay she just locked us up into dungeons of her own!

“Why are you locking us up!?!” I asked her, “I thought that you had come to save us!”

“I did,” she answered, “but I can detect that the Princess currently has an evil mind-control spell on her, and so I can’t allow her to run free and become ruler of the world. The mind-control spell must be removed somehow first!, but I’m not sure how to do it!”

The Princess and I tried to convince her that she was mistaken about there being a mind-control spell, but she was convinced that there was one, and she soon left us to try n’ find information about how to remove mind-control spells.

“I can’t believe this bull!” I then raged to the Princess, “It’s as clear as day that you are anything but mind-controlled, and I can’t believe that the fairy godmother is doing this!”

The Princess and I talked back and forth about the injustice of it all for a while, and then eventually Enki over here arrived and rescued us!

The Princess was then able to begin ruling the world, and I went back to my nearby home in order to celebrate a job well done! I had saved the Princess! Woohoo!

But then I saw her declaring on tv that this Christmas was to be the last Christmas and that Krampus was to be the new ruler if anything were to happen to her, and I realized that the fairy godmother had been right!

Enki seemed like the most powerful person I knew who might be able to help me save the Princess from the mind-control spell that she was obviously still under, and so I raced! over to Enki’s fortress, and y’all know how things went from there which means that there’s no need for me to go any further forward in the timeline. Now, we’re hopefully on our way to save the Princess! so that she can save Christmas!”

“And we do have a plan!” Enki said happily, “We’re currently on our way to find out if a witch named Zelly can give us the information the we need to destroy the mind-control spell, and we’ll be checking with other people if Zelly isn’t sure what to do. I think that Zelly is likely to be able to help us though!”

“You just have to be careful not to criticize her cooking.” I warned, “Apparently, she doesn’t take very kindly to people disliking her food.”

“Well, I sure do hope that Zelly will have some answers for us,” Malin said hopefully, “because I must not stop fighting the good fight until I know that the Princess has been saved from the evil Krampus, and failure is NOT an option…”
