Last Christmas?

Chapter Suddenly

Krampus and I soon reached a Christmas store, and we slammed! through the door and began grabbing various Christmas items!

All of the customers and staff who were in the store screamed! bloody murder and desperately ran out of the door so that they wouldn’t risk being hurt by the scary looking man-goat-demon or his formidable looking snowwoman wife!

Krampus and I grabbed enough Christmas decor to insure that we’d seem very festive indeed to ol’ Enki.

We had shoes with bells on them, ugly Christmas sweaters, baskets full of candy canes, Santa hats, red and green pants, and much much more too!

We finally exited the store, just as the police were arriving.

We dashed away, and the police allowed us to run (rather than trying to confront us) because they apparently didn’t want to find out how a fight might go for them.

Ok! Christmas shopping (well, Christmas stealing, I guess. Same thing!) was complete!, and now it was time to track down the wizard who was the key to us being able to find the fairy godmother and recapture the Princess!

We soon reached Enki’s fortress, and we began singing Christmas carols outside of his house!

It was truly painful to be caroling, but we had to make it seem like we truly loved Christmas just like Enki did if we wanted to have any hope of convincing him to help us.

As we sang Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer outside of the front door of his fortress, he opened the doors of his fortress and greeted us with a warm smile and even warmer cups of hot cocoa!

It was at that moment that I remembered how much I had loved Christmas as a child, and I suddenly didn’t want to end it anymore!

“Krampus is trying to make this Christmas the last Christmas ever!” I cried, “Don’t give him the ability to find out where the fairy godmother is! He just wants to use the Princess to rule the world!”

Krampus quickly snarled, “You’re going to be a dead snowwoman before long!” and quickly sped! off because he must’ve realized that he would be no match for the combined power of Enki and I.

“Well!,” Enki said in a befuddled tone of voice, “would you like to come inside and enjoy some hot cocoa?”

I nodded in agreement, and we were soon sitting and drinking hot cocoa while I told him about everything that’d happened ever since I’d been reincarnated as a snowwoman not too long ago.

“Hmmm…” he mused, “It sounds like the fairy godmother is trying to insure that the Princess and Malin don’t fall back into the clutches of Krampus, but she really shouldn’t be keeping them in her dungeons unless they’re agreeing that it’s best for them to be confined there.

Are you feeling up to taking a little trip over to where she lives in order to check and make sure that Malin and the Princess aren’t being held captive against their will?”

“I dunno…” I said hesitantly, “I mean, as long as the Princess is confined in those dungeons, Krampus can’t use her to rule the world and end Christmas.

Maybe it’s best that we just let the fairy godmother do her thing, ya know?”

“Nonsense!” Enki said disapprovingly, “No one has the right to deprive anyone of the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness; no matter what their justifications are!

I’ll just go alone though. Feel free to stay here as long as you like, and if you’re still here when I return then I’ll let you know what happened.” and he suddenly! disappeared into thin air before I could say another word!

“Oh no!” I said in horror, as a new idea suddenly! struck me, “What if the Princess is still mind-controlled by Krampus, and she was only pretending not to be mind-controlled anymore!

If she’s still being mind-controlled, then she’ll want for Enki to free her from the fairy godmother’s dungeons, and she’ll just rule the world as a proxy for Krampus and end Christmas! Noooooooo! Why’d Enki have to leave without letting me argue my case to him more!?!”

I paced worriedly back and forth in Enki’s fortress, and I feared that the worst was about to happen.

Would Enki free a still mind-controlled Princess from the fairy godmother’s dungeons and doom us all?

“Damn you, Krampus!” I yelled, “You’re the worst husband ever!” and I panically tried to figure out some way to warn Enki of my fears before he might unintentionally do something that could bring an end to the Christmas that he so dearly loved…
