Chapter 507
Chapter 507 Tell You Everything
"It's me."
"Well, what's the matter?"
The two of them had a very lukewarm conversation.
Larry's voice was very low. "Are you looking for Harper?"
"Do you know where she went?" Annie inquired urgently.
Larry said, "I don't know, but she's fine. Stay out of this for now. Harper is married to Benjamin. She's still carrying the baby. What you're worried about won't happen." Although Larry didn't seem to say anything, it counted as an answer to Annie.
She thought, "As long as Harper's okay."
Annie knew why Harper was suddenly unreachable. Either she confessed to Benjamin about Frank, or Benjamin knew himself.
But whether it was the former or the latter, it was a matter between them as a couple. So, all Annie could do was wait to hear from Harper.
Annie was briefly silent after hearing the answer. Then she whispered, "Okay." After that, the atmosphere went quiet.
They both waited for the other to speak first. In the end, it was Larry who took the initiative.
Larry said, "That's it for now? I'm going to have a meeting. Let's contact later if something comes up."
"Okay, bye."
She finished quickly and then hung up.
Annie sat in the car and couldn't calm down for a long time.
She looked out the window and took a deep breath. Only after adjusting her emotions did she drive back to the apartment.
Since Harper was now with Benjamin, there was no need for Annie to go to Harper's company.
She didn't want to see Frank or get into an argument with him, so it was better to stay at the apartment.
However, she was going to check on Eleanor later. Otherwise, Eleanor
would be worried about Harper.
Driving back to the apartment, Annie parked and got out. But before she could approach the apartment building, she saw Frank standing there waiting.
He was wearing sunglasses, but she could still recognize him instantly.
Instead of continuing forward, Annie stopped and stood still.
Seeing this, Frank took the initiative to walk over. Annie asked indifferently, "What are you doing here?"
"Annie, where did Harper go? How can't I contact her?"
Frank softened his tone. Even though he sensed that Annie's attitude wasn't very nice, he remained as mild-mannered as ever.
But Annie didn't treat him gently. "Harper is married. You are just her friend. Isn't it a bit inappropriate for you to come straight to her like this? Mr. Parker, don't you know?"
Frank froze slightly and said, "Annie,
I know you have prejudices against me. However, I am really concerned about Harper. She hasn't come to the office in three days, so I'm a little worried about her."
"She's not home. She's on a business trip with Benjamin."
Annie glanced at him and walked inside after that.
Frank stopped her immediately. "Did you say she is on a business trip with Benjamin?"
"Yes. What's the problem? They are married. Isn't it normal for them to go on a business trip together?"
Annie felt speechless.
She hadn't wanted to tear herself away from him altogether. But at this moment, she had to because Frank was just too unbearable.
Annie grunted, a look of disdain in
her eyes. "Frank, Harper and you are friends. As much as I dislike you, she's never been affected by me. So I hope you don't drag her down with you because of something
swn did."
The implication of Annie's words was strong, and Frank picked up on it immediately.
His gentle elegance disappeared, and he coldly questioned, "Did she tell you everything?"
"How can you be afraid of being known when you've already done it?"
Annie grunted.
