Chapter 506
Chapter 506 Surveillance
Inside a hotel room in the same city, Benjamin subconsciously grabbed his car keys and prepared to rush to Mansion No. 7 when he received a call from the bodyguard.
But he opened the door before gradually calming down, thinking, "Her pregnancy tests have been fine, and she usually doesn't have anything going on. So she should be fine."
Still, he couldn't take it lightly, so he chose to contact Yinson and ask him to arrange for a doctor to make a trip over there. He then asked Yinson, "She shouldn't be in any trouble at this time, right?"
"Basically not. From the various examination data, you can rest assured. However, I'll arrange for a student to go over and check it out. In that case, you can rest assured."
"Okay."
Benjamin's expression still didn't ease up in the slightest. After hanging up the phone, he had been standing in front of the floor-to-ceiling window with his arms wrapped around his chest. His handsome face was solemn.
His state like this lasted until Yinson's call came. He was relieved when he got an answer. But at the same time, anger gradually spread from the depths of his heart and took over all his thoughts.
He thought, "Is she going to threaten me with the safety of the baby?"
As Benjamin thought about this, he subconsciously remembered the image of her earlier saying firmly that she didn't want the baby. With that, he made a call and asked the person on the other end of the line to tell Harper, "I want both her and the baby safe and sound. Otherwise, she can't afford the consequences."
When he finished speaking, he tossed the phone aside, the gloom in his expression increasing rather than decreasing at all.
Time was passing by, but his mood was unchanged.
It was a night that Benjamin, in addition to Harper, did not sleep well.
A new day began. Harper could only suppress her emotions because of Benjamin's words. She told herself to calm down again and again. So Harper lived in Mansion No. 7 like a puppet. She had no freedom and could not contact anyone. Her every move was under the surveillance of Mina.
Harper was actually quite depressed. However, she had no choice but to continue walking as if nothing had happened.
Because Harper suddenly could not be contacted, Annie became anxious.
Initially, Annie thought that Harper had gone back to the Martin Manor with Benjamin. But after calling again and again with no response, Annie was a little worried.
So she called Benjamin directly.
But Benjamin didn't answer her calls. She had no choice but to go straight to the apartment's security room to check the surveillance.
However, although she lived here,
the person who rented the house
was Harper. So, she had no right to check the surveillance. Feeling annoyed, Annie finally drove straight to the Martin Group.
She stated that she wanted to see Benjamin. But the receptionist at the Martin Group didn't recognize her and reminded her, "Miss, if you want to see Mr. Martin, you need to make an appointment. However, Mr Martin is not in the office right now. He's on a business trip to Teninus."
Annie frowned tightly, "Benjamin went on a business trip?"
After confirming that Benjamin was indeed on a business trip, Annie asked the receptionist if Harper had gone with him. But the receptionist didn't know so she couldn't get an answer. Annie fell silent and eventually planned to make a trip to the Martin Manor.
She wouldn't rest until she found out. If Harper didn't contact her for an hour or half a day, she thought nothing was wrong. But a day and a night had passed, and Harper's sell phone was always in an unreachable state. How could she be calm and pretend that nothing was wrong?
Just as Annie was about to leave the Martin Group for the Martin Manor, her cell phone rang.
She glanced at the caller's number. There were no notes, but the string of numbers was one she'd long since memorized.
Annie hesitated while holding her cell phone before pressing the answer button. "Hello?"
