Chapter 5
I could smell and hear them getting closer, I let out a deathly growl to warn them. Yet they were still coming closer. I spread my legs into a fighting stance, and growled deeper. It was getting closer and closer until, it finally came into view. It was the grey wolf that attacked me. It tilted its head in confusion, it knew that it was me. And I knew it was him. I growled louder and louder. It started towards me, I stood my ground. When it got closer and closer, I rose my head to show who was boss. But he didn’t seem to get the message. He jumped to tackle me but before he could I grabbed his neck and threw him to the ground. He was kicking me in the stomach but I didn’t care, I wanted him to pay for what he did. But I didn’t have enough time to, he took his paw that was free, and clawed my face with his revolting prolonged claws. I yelped in pain as everything was blurry and eventually black.

I felt guilty for angering Sam, I didn’t know why though because I hated her guts. After five minutes I ran after her. Following her sweet scent caramel and vanilla. ‘Yuck,’why was I being like this? My wolf laughed in the back of my head. I could smell something was off. There was a familiar scent, someone I couldn’t stand......other than Sam. I got to my favourite lake where I saw a very familiar ugly scarred grey wolf, clawing at Sam’s face, my heart sank when I saw that she was hurt she was also unconcious. Growled loudly and jumped onto the grey wolf’s back tearing at his neck. He deserved it.....he deserved everything that come his way, apart from if it was happiness. He tried to shake me off and bite me but it wouldn’t work I had my teeth in deep. He eventually stopped and submitted, I gave him a warning growl never to come back and he ran. I turned around again to see Sam, she was lying there in her wolf form covered in blood again. I quickly ran over to her, my wolf was whining and the only way to stop him was to help her. So that’s exactly what I did. Werewolves were bigger than normal wolves so we could carry basically anything, especially Alpha’s. I leant down and picked her up so she was lying on my back. ‘Why does she keep doing this to herself? It’s painful watch.’ Stan whined. ‘What are you talking about?’ I asked, Stan receded to the back of my mind. Why does he keep doing that? I ask myself.
When I eventually arrived back at the pack house, with Sam still unconcious I had already mind-linked everyone to be ready with the pack doctor. Mind-linking is something that packs can do, it’s communication through the mind, because of a bond that we have with each other. I reached the pack doctor and he got some of the other pack members to carefully lift Sam onto a stretcher. I ran back behind the tree, shifted and then got changed. When I entered the house Zaya was pacing around, biting her thumb nail. While my mother, twin sister and little brother were sitting at the table. “Is she alright?” I asked no one directly. My mother looked up. “She’ll be fine, but sore when she wakes up with heaps of bruises. Her body’s already healed but, she have a lot of bruises.” My mother said nodding.

I woke up, stiff, sore with a swollen face. Then I realised I was still on all fours. I took in my sorroundings, I was in what looked like a hospital.....oh no a hospital. ‘What if they know what I am? What if there going to lock me up and do experiments on me? What if I never see the outside again? What if I’m trapped in here?’ I started firing off questions at Leah. ‘Woah woah slow down I can’t answer them if you’re talking to fast for me to understand. Just.... check the door see if it’s locked first, then we’ll start freaking out.’ Leah said as I slowly moved trying to stand, but I was tugged back, by an IV. I didn’t want to be stuck in here any longer, so I grabbed the IV with my teeth and yanked it out. There was a hospital gown next to me, they must now what I am. I looked around to see if there was any cameras to make sure hey had no hard evidence against me, even though they probably already took some of my blood. Once I seen that there was no cameras around I shifted back into my human form, and put on the hospital gown. My face from what I could feel probably looked worse than what it did in wolf form. It was so swollen, it aches and it probably has black and blue bruises all over it.
I walked over to the door, tried to open it and it wasn’t locked so I walked outside. I was in some sort of hospital, but it wasn’t big it was pretty small. There was this man he seen me and started to walk over to me. “Sam what are you doing you should be resting.” He said worrying. “Who are you and how do you know my name?” I questioned growling. “It’s okay Sam you’re safe, Cole found you while a wolf was attacking you. If it wasn’t for him then you would probably be dead. I’m the pack doctor, so don’t worry like I said you’re safe.” He said giving me a reassuring smile. “Cole? Cole, helped me? Great, is it some sort of bribery so I don’t try and take his title?” I scoffed. “Well you’re going to have to ask him yourself because I’m just the pack doctor.” He said pointing himself. “Right, well I’m going to find out what he wants.” I said shaking my head.
