Chapter 6
Sam P.O.V
When I left the little hospital that I was in, I realised it was close to Jo’s house. So I knew for sure I was definitely safe. I walked to the house wincing at the pain every time I moved there was also bruises all over my stomach. Probably from when the wolf was kicking me. I opened the door to the house and Zaya sprinted over and squeezed me, I flinched. “Sorry,” she whispered, “I’m so glad you’re okay.” She said sobbing. Jo, Hannah and Leo walked over to me, smiling, grateful that I was alright. “Phew, I didn’t think you’d ever be able to have a training session, ever.” Leo said wiping his forehead, Hannah punched him in the shoulder. “Hey, be nice.” Hannah said pointing at Leo. He just laughed. “Calm down, it was a joke.” We all laughed, but it ended in a coughing fit for me, I clenched my stomach. “You alright honey.” Jo said worriedly. “Yeah....I’m.....fine.” I said through violent coughs. I heard Cole step into the room. I spun around to see him watching my every move, his eyes glazed over. Zaya let go of me as she looked between us, a smirk grew on her lips. “Um, Leo, Hannah and Zaya, I need your help with something outside, come on.” Jo said gesturing for them to follow her. “Why? What?” Leo said looking confused. “Now Leo.” Jo yelled and slapped him up the side of his head. “Alright, alright.” Leo said rubbing his head, where Jo had slapped him. Meanwhile Cole and I had our eyes locked. We were silent for a while. “What the hell, were you doing out there.” Cole yelled, his temper rising. “Trying to get away from you.” I yelled back, my temper also rising. My eyes were glowing I could see my reflection in his eyes. I looked horrible my face was covered in bruises, they were in the shape of claws. For a second I could’ve sworn I seen hurt flash behind his eyes, but as quick as it came it was gone.

I didn’t know why, but it felt like someone had stabbed me when those words left her mouth. Stan felt hurt. And I didn’t want to admit it, but maybe just maybe I was too. “Well, you shouldn’t have gone out there alone, you should have brought someone with you.” I screamed, I was shaking from anger. “I don’t need a babysitter, okay.” She screamed back and a bit of her Alpha voice was let out, it clearly hurt for her to scream. She bent over clenching her stomach. She almost dropped to the floor as pain took over, but before she fell I ran to her, picked her up bridal style. She was still clenching her stomach. “Don’t,” she used her Alpha voice again Sam wriggled trying to get out of my arms. But knew if I put her down she would collapse. “Why are you doing this?” She whispered once she realised, I wasn’t putting her down, just so she could hurt herself again. She was right. Why was he doing this? He didn’t know how to answer her, so he avoided that question. She scoffed when he didn’t answer her. “You need to rest.” I eventually said. “My mother had a room set up for you while you were in the pack hospital.” I said walking up the stairs towards the room, while Sam was still in my arms. She must have been exhausted, because she had already fallen asleep by time I was at the door of her room. I opened the door quietly, trying to not make a noise. I went to lay her on the bed but she was clinging to my shirt, and wouldn’t let go. I gave up, and sat on the bed, with Sam fast asleep in my arms. I eventually fell asleep as well.
I woke up to the sun shining bright, through the window. There was whispers coming from the door way, I looked over to see my mother, Leo, Hannah and Zaya standing there grinning and taking photos. “Aw, how cute.” My mother said as I was still trying to wake up properly. And then I realised why there being so weird, Sam was just waking up. “Alpha, and Alpha sitting in the tree.” Leo sang. Sam had no idea what was happening she looked around the unfimiliar room. And then she realised she sitting in my arms, she looked shocked at first then a bit embarrassed. She jumped out my arms letting go of my shirt. “What the hell?” She said. The others still smirking. I jumped off the bed and ran to the opposite side of the room from where Sam was. “I..uh..um.” I stuttered, I couldn’t find any words. “Well someone’s lost for words.” Hannah laughed. “Sam fell asleep in my arms and then I went to put into bed but she wouldn’t let go.” I said awkwardly looking at Sam, she looked shocked. “So you’s were cuddling before this?” Zaya giggled, the rest of them joined in apart from Sam and I. “No,” Sam and I said in unison shaking our heads. “No we were fighting.” I said disgusted that they would even think that. Why would they think they we were cuddling before this?
