Chapter 4
After I showered I jumped out and put on some clothes that Jo had left for me. There was a skin tight navy blue crop top and light denim ripped jeans. I was walking towards the stairs while looking at art work on the walls. When I tripped down the stairs and ran into a wall, but this wasn’t a wall I could hear a heartbeat and breathing. It was Cole. He lowered his hand to help me up but I ignored him and got up on my own. “Watch where you’re going next time. Please. I’m sorry about earlier.” There was a swirl of emotions behind his eyes, but I couldn’t figure out what they were. He sighed. I took no notice and walked straight past him. As he went to what I assume was his room. I got to the dining room where Jo and Zaya sat drinking what smelt like coffee. I took a deep breath in. They turned to face me and I smiled. “That shower was amazing thank you, also who’s clothes are these.” I said pointing to my shirt and jeans. I heard someone else enter the room, I turned around to find a girl the same age as me with black hair and emerald eyes with a kind smile. “Mine.” She giggled. “Do they fit you well?” She asked. “Yes thank you, they fit perfectly.” I said smiling. “I’m Hannah. And you’re the one who had the guts to fight my twin brother?” She laughed. “Yeah, that’s me.” I said nodding. “Well don’t let him scare you away.” She said. “He doesn’t scare me, and I don’t think he can with being such a softie.” I laughed. Hannah and Jo smirked and looked at each other. “What?” I asked confused. “Well Cole’s never been a person that you could call soft.” Jo shook her head as she smiled. “What aren’t you’s telling me,” I questioned as I took a seat next to Zaya. “I know something’s up.” I said narrowing my eyes at Jo and Hannah, they tried to hide a smirk behind an innocent smile. “Nothing dear.” Jo said giggling. And yet another person entered the room, when I turned I seen a short but muscular, maybe around 15 with also black hair and emerald eyes. “Oh, hi there.” The boy said smiling and walking directly to me. “Hi.” I said surprised when he put his hand out for me to shake. “I’m Leo, you must be Sam.” He said excitedly as I shook his hand. “How did you know my name.” I asked tilting my head. “Oh, well, you tried taking out our Alpha, and also my big brother. You’re the talk of the pack.” He said laughing. “Ha, so Cole has a little brother? Is he nice to you or do I have to try and take him out again?” I said laughing and crossing my arms. “Mehhhh, he’s alright he can be really annoying though.” Leo said dropping his shoulders. “I seen you fighting him, you’ve got moves and technique.” He said nodding his head. “Thanks, but I never do fighting like that.” I said exaggerating and using my hands to explain. “I’ve only ever fought as a human. But I’ve won every other fight though.” I laughed, everyone else joined in with me. “Well, I could train you, I know I might seem young but I’m the head of combat.” He said, smiling proudly.
“Really, well I’d love to train.” I said chuckling. Leo’s smile grew wider. “Well I have to go, but tomorrow morning at six, sound alright?” He said. “Sounds great, thanks.” I said nodding. “See you later then,” I went to shake his hand but he shook his head, “you’re family now, don’t worry about that.” He said as he gave me quick hug, as we were hugging I heard a possessive growl from behind me. When I let go, I seen Cole standing at the top of the stairs, giving Leo a death stare.

I was in my room finishing off paperwork, when I needed a drink of water. I opened my door and stopped at the stairs when I saw my little brother and Sam hugging, I felt something twist inside me and snapped. What was that feeling? I asked myself. My wolf, Stan, took control. I let out a growl that Stan forced. ‘What are you doing Stan?’ I asked him but he ignored me. And let me have control again. What was that feeling? I asked myself again. And why would Stan forcefully take control?

Was he growling because he saw me and Leo hugging. “We’ll see you’s.” Leo said awkwardly avoiding Cole’s gaze at all costs. “Bye.” I said waving. I then turned back to Cole. “What the hell is wrong with you?” I said, yelling. He seemed taken back a bit. “What?” He said walking into the kitchen pretending nothing happened. “Arghhhh.” Sighed very dramatically and stomped out of the room frustrated. I slid open the sliding door, no doubt my eyes were glowing like flashlights, passing other wolves. I stood behind the same tree as the first time I shifted and stripped off. I jumped and shifted in mid air taking off running. I followed the scent of a fresh water lake. When I reached it, I slowed and finally came to a stop at the edge of the lake. I stood still for a couple of seconds realising just how beautiful my wolf is. I leant down taking a sip of the beautiful blue lake, that was sorrounded by the Forrest. I could smell something it was someone.
