Rafe steps inside the cell. Cassandra says “Raphael please?! You know I love you. All of this is just a big misunderstanding. My father is the one who betrayed the pack. I was never privy to what was talked about. I wouldn’t do that to you. To our pack” Rafe looked over his shoulder at Jax and asked “ you believing this shit?” Jax shook his head grinning.

Rafe turns back to her and says “ Now..it’s late. I’m tired. So let’s try this again.” Using Alpha Command, he allows Baron to come forward..saying “ You will answer any questions truthfully..you will refer to us as Alpha..and only Alpha.. if you disrespect us again, you will pay a serious price. Do you understand?” She nods and he roars “Use your words so there is no mistake “ She gulps out “yes, Alpha” Rafe smirks and said “ you were stupid, you know. You should have broken your pack bond. You led Damon straight to your friends little hidey hole”

Jax says “We needs a guys night, bro. You are around Luna too much” grinning at him..muttering hidey hole…priceless! Rafe turns to Cassandra and asks “What’s your mate’s name?” She responds Liam. “So you chose a known rapist..a woman beater..a man who stabbed and slashed a woman while crushing the bones in her face to be with. Knowing those things could happen to you. Good job!” She screams “I didn’t choose him! I don’t want him! I want you. You are supposed to be mine! My father promised! Alpha Armand promised. Liam promised! All they had to do was take her. If she is gone, you need a Luna and that would be me! She’s nothing! A nobody! A half-breed!” He said “Wow! Almost nothing you said was accurate. My Luna is the daughter of Armand Hellier.. Her mother was strangled to death for not birthing a boy! You are not my mate. I would never take a chosen. If my mate dies, I will never want another. If anyone tries to take my mate there is no hole they could hide in that I would not search. I will burn the world to the ground for my love…and you are not that love! Their plan was never to allow you to mate me, you imbecile! They want me dead! They want this pack! You are simply collateral damage”

Jax said…” Well, that and you’re an idiot.. but hey! who am I to judge?” Cassandra said “She’s a liar. Armand said his daughter died.” Jax said “See? Idiot!” Rafe rolls his eyes and says “ Where are they hiding? How many are we facing? And when are they planning to attack?” She whines “I don’t know. They don’t tell me anything! I heard they are waiting for BlackRiver warriors to arrive. My father and Duncan went with Armand to their base but I was left at the outpost.” Rafe says “ ah yes… with your friends! So Duncan helped you escape. Why? Who killed Nathan?”

She whispered “Duncan brought my father and me to meet with Armand. He is in love with Madilyn and was promised she would be his mate before she turned 18..but she and Jax mated and marked on the night of her birthday and that made Duncan angry. He wants Jax dead. He killed Nathan so we could cross the border “

Jax says “of course, he does. Reckon it’s nice to be wanted…even if it’s to kill me” Rafe looked at Cassandra like she had lost her mind! He asked her “you would do that to your sister? You would destroy her..possibly kill her..because you are obsessed with being my Luna? There is no redemption for your soul! I pray the Moon Goddess shows you mercy because Goddess help you.. I will not!” He turns and leaves the cells. Jax follows behind saying “have a good night, you two” and turned out all the lights.

He walks out and jumps into the cab of Rafe’s truck. He turns to Jax and says “Ready the wolves. We take that camp today!”

Rafe walks into their room seeing Andrea and Gavin watching a movie and munching on dry cereal. He walks over and lifts her before sitting down with her in his lap. She asks “Did you snap her neck?” He startles and laughs “Aren’t you a little too bloodthirsty for 7 in the morning?” She shrugs and says “I probably would have” and Gavin busts out laughing.

She looks at him and sees his eyes are glossed over and whines “heyyyy! No mind linking. It’s rude and I don’t want you hiding things” Rafe kisses her and says “I was telling Gavin you and Madilyn will be going to town to pick out your dresses for your ceremony tonight and the elites will accompany you.”

She said “why? Do they need dresses too?” He said “Moonbeam, you know why! I am asking you to not ditch your guards because I won’t be close enough to reach you if you run into trouble.” She sighs and agrees because he asked then she says “Wait! Where will you be?” He said he is heading out shortly to take out the rogue outpost and bring in some more prisoners…if any survive.

She hops up and says “Okay. Chop chop! Let’s get a move on! I want to get this shit over with so I can dance in the moonlight with the love of my life!” They didn’t even notice Gavin had slipped out of the room.

At the breakfast table, she and Madilyn were discussing what style of dress she might choose and what color. She already knew the color…she just hoped she could find a dress.

Rafe and his men were gearing up and getting ready to head out. Andrea was determined to put on a brave front.. for her mate..and for their pack. She knows Rafe is an accomplished warrior and feared by most everyone out there. But they are going to war. And people die in a war…no matter how good they are.

She walks up to Rafe and wraps her arms around him. He sees a solitary tear roll down her cheek and he kisses it away. They whisper to each other offering reassurances and hope…in their own little bubble..until Jax trots up to him and says “Let’s roll! We’re burning daylight” and with that they take off. The girls climb into the back of a black SUV with blacked out windows with Gavin driving and another elite in the passenger seat, who Gavin introduced as Gideon. And Andrea mumbles yeah! Never gonna remember that name!

Gavin laughs and asks where to first? She squeals and says “ Ohhhh Marcia’s!! I want a double chocolate whipped topping latte’ with extra caramel drizzle!” Gideon says “oddly specific” and Gavin says “yeah..you’ll get used to it”

Damon links Rafe “this is where we leave the vehicles. On all fours from here” Rafe steps out of his truck and points out 8 men telling them they are to be fully armed and on two feet.. He was staying on two feet hoping to negotiate. He tells his men, take prisoners if you can…if you can’t, take them out! Everybody comes home today! We have a Luna to celebrate! They all lock forearms and say Goddess be with us! And they take off running.

They pull up just outside the camp..observing for a bit. He says “there doesn’t seem to be that many of them around..” Andrea found the perfect dress in the second boutique they entered. A beautiful dark purple satin sheath dress with spaghetti straps and a velvet furred collar shrug in the same color. She settled on a pair of flat strappy sandals and couldn’t be happier!

Madilyn’s dress was a royal blue with tiny golden flowers embroidered around the hem. It was velvet with long sleeves and no back. It is gorgeous! And in pack colors, so that made it even more perfect!
