"Oh your Dad did a nice job" Liam complimented.
"He reminds me of my Dad, he made me see my worth right from my childhood "
"Awwwn, you bagged a nice daddy too " Lydia smiled.
"Yeah, I actually think he is the best in the world " Liam winked as he picked his spoon to do justice to the meal in his front.
"Errhm, I think my Dad is," Lydia laughed as she started to eat her meal too. After some seconds of focused eating. Liam raised his heads to converse with Lydia again.
"So how is your boyfriend? "Liam asked wanting to know if she had one.
"Well I don't have any, so I don't know how he is" Lydia laughed as she found what she said funny.
"Oh stop it, you can't tell me a beautiful girl like you don't have a boyfriend" Liam smiled as he stuffed some Mac and cheese into his mouth.
"I'm being truthful here, I decided to give relationship some break due to personal reasons" She said as she licked the cheese that was on her lips.
"Oh, I hope you weren't heartbroken ?" Liam asked focusing in his food this time.
"Naah, I wasn't, just personal issues" she said.
"So how about you? Who's the lucky girl" Lydia asked as she sipped the water from her glass. Not like she cared about the girl, of course she would be jealous if she saw a girl but she thought it necessary to ask. "Girlfriend? What's that? " Liam asked sarcastically as they both laughed.
"Oh you do woman friend? " Lydia asked still laughing.
"What's the difference? They are all same thing" Liam put a serious face now while looking into her eyes.
"The woman I loved dearly broke my heart" Liam announced plainly and Lydia felt a hinge of jealousy, maybe it was because the love Liam claimed to have for his ex was evidently still present.
"I was going to marry her, but she left me because if a little misunderstanding, I loved her so much and I'm trying to get her off my mind so I can move on. Liam got quite moody.
"Aww, so sorry about that, you don't have to hold on to your broken heart, you just have to let it heal dear" Lydia said as she caressed his hands.
"You see, most of the bad things that happened to us it was God that let it happen " Lydia said sweetly.
"He let us loose something's in our life so we could be a better person" Lydia tried to psyche him up. She wanted this date to be the beginning of something for them.
"But I've not been better since she left me, I've been the same person if not worse" Liam raised his eyebrows as he spoke.
"Well that's because you've decided not to move on, the lady your talking about is probably doing better with her life" Lydia encouraged him the more.
"Mmm I don't know, I'll try my best tho" Liam muttered.
"Yeah, that's more like it" Lydia raised her hands up for a high five which she got.
"So do you do any sport? " Lydia changed the topic so he could cheer up.
"Yeah, I play football, basketball and I play the tennis too" Liam answered.
"I used to do a lot more in high school, infact I was the games prefect but now I'm only good at these ones. "oou, quite impressive, the girls must have been all over you then" Lydia laughed sweetly as her eyes shone. "Of course, they were like sugar ants struggling for a cube of sugar" Liam stated proudly as his face lit up.
"Oh really? and who was the sugar?" Lydia asked as if she didn't get the memo but she sure did.

"Me of course, the one and only Liam Maxwell, I was the Sugar" Liam said with a funny face.
"I was strikingly handsome too, so the ants were never far away from me" Liam bragged the more.
"Oh you still are" Lydia chuckled as she gave him a quick admiration.
"Oh Thanks sweet" he had loosened up a bit with her and she couldn't help but feel herself.
"So how about you, what sport does beautiful Lydia do"Liam asked in a fine manner.
"Oh I do only one sport and I'm so good at it" Lydia answered.
"So what sport could it be" Liam asked.
"Alright let me guess" he begged.
"Table tennis?"
"No"
"Urhhm, lawn tennis?"
"Naah" Lydia laughed at him.
"Baseball? " Liam asked hoping he gets it this time.
"Nope, try one more time" Lydia encouraged.
"Volleyball? "

Damn! why did I not think about volleyball all this while" Liam smiled while banging the table a little bit hard.
"Pretty girls love volleyball, I should have remembered" they both laughed at Liam's statement.
"You should start involving yourself in international matches then" Liam suggested.
"Oh yeah, I have that in mind but that will be next year" Lydia said.
"I'll hire a coach again because I'm a little bit rusty" she added.
"Oh that's a good idea" Liam acknowledged.
"It's 9pm already, do you want to finish your food? "Liam asked her as he wanted them to go.
"No I'm filled up " she stated while using the serviette.
"So we can go home then, did you come with a car? " Liam asked her.
"No I used a cab while coming" she answered.
"Oh, sell go in my Car then" Liam said as he stood up and she followed him. She was happy she was going to be in the same car with her boss who had been her long time crush.
Liam dropped her off at her home before making for his home. While they were in the car, Lydia wished he'd touch her. She didn't mind touching and kissing him herself but she didn't want to be seen as too cheap. So she bagged her feelings
and emotions home. Liam on the other had longed for some nasty things but he was boss to the lady in question. He decided to be ethical as this was their first time meeting.
"It was a very nice time spent with you, Lydia " Liam said as she was about getting down from the Car.
"Same here, Mr Liam" Lydia smiled.
"looking forward to more of this" Liam winked at her.
"Oh yeah, Sureeeee" she said happily as she thought that he was beginning to like her. ******
