Chapter 85

Liam went home that night with thoughts of Lydia in his head. She was a really beautiful girl and from the look of things she cared so much about him. He was going to get to know her more and probably date her, he thought. He was happy with himself at least he was beginning to like another woman. *****

Liam had made skipping breakfast a thing as he would take only cover before going to work. He usually had his first meal of the day during break and that was lunch time. So this morning he quickly made coffee, drank it and drove to work. Just when he entered the reception he saw Lydia, she helped him with his suitcase as usual.

"Good morning Sir" she greeted him with smiles.

"Common lydia, what's with the "sir"?" he asked her laughing.

"Oh good morning Boss" Lydia said as she thought she was correcting herself.

"Oh no, Lydia we are now friends, quit the formalities " Liam smiled as he put his hands on her right shoulder.

"Aww, alright good morning Liam" Lydia greeted gracefully.

"Yeah, that's more like it " he tapped her shoulders.

"Good morning dear, so how was your night?" He asked her as he took his suitcase and dropped it on the desk.

"Mmm, lovely, it was lovely and yours sir, sorry Liam". she laughed covering her mouth.

"It was cool, I enjoyed your company earlier so it was easy to have a splendid night" he winked at her.

"Oh I'm being flattered" Lydia blushed.

"Haha, I'm just stating the obvious "Liam chuckled.

"Do have a splendid day at work alright? and call me when you're done so we could go home together.

"Aww, okay, do have a great day too" she told him and left the office in smiles.

*******Evening

"Hey Liam " Lydia greeted cheerfully over the phone.

"Hey dear, how are you doing " Liam enquired.

"I'm very well and yourself?" Lydia replied as she plaid with her hair.

"Well I'm good, just here doing nothing" Liam said as he rolled himself around with his chair.

"Oh, I was about telling you that I'm done for today" Lydia informed him.

"Oh okay I'll be with you shortly" Liam assured her.

"Alright Sir, oh my God, I'm sorry, alright Liam" she said laughing, Liam was laughing too.

He took his coat from the chair, grabbed his suitcase and locked his door as he went to meet his new Pal, Lydia. His office was at the last floor while Lydia woke at fourth floor, the building was a seven storey building. "Hey dear" Liam greeted her which startled her as she was on her phone.

"look at you, you're here already" Lydia said with smiles.

"Oh yeah, so are we good to go?" he asked her.

"Sure, sure, my bag is already packed, we can move" Lydia stood up from her seat to follow him. Most of her colleagues were staring at them because as far as they knew they weren't friends. But they had nothing to say as it wasn't their business.

So they used the staircase to go to the last floor. They did it on purpose as Liam suggested that they do it for exercise purpose.

"You know most times we just sit at a place work, eat and go home to sleep. We do not have time to exercise daily which is not a good thing, that's why I make use of any opportunity to exercise. "Liam lectured.

"That's true and most times I spend the weekend sleeping that I forget to do early morning walks" Lydia confessed while laughing.

"Silly you" Liam teased as he spanked her shoulders.

"You know, we could go for evening walks during the weekend. What do you think?" Liam asked looking at her.

"Oh my goodness, a walk with my crush? That should be one of the best thing that will happen to me. She chuckled as Liam chuckled also.

"We will do that this weekend, I'll come meet you at your street" Liam said to her.

"Sure" she smiled as they got into the Car.

Liam planned to drop her at her house and zoom off to his own home but had a change of plan when he sighted a restaurant. He stopped to get burger and yoghurt for the both of them as he thought they both needed something to feast on immediately they got home.

He felt fulfilled as he got the snacks so he drove her home and she bade him bye he held her hands and drew her back into the Car. Staring into her eyes for a few seconds, he muttered bye. "Bye... " he said awkwardly.

"Yeah bye" she replied wishing he did what he had in mind to do to her. He wanted to kiss her and she knew that but he freed her and let her go. She went to her house dissapointedly. She wished she initiated a kiss but she consoled herself with the fact that their friendship was leading somewhere.
