Her King

Being away from Regina is becoming difficult day by day, especially after today's incident I just want her to be with me where I know she is safe.

Ask her to stay with us, she should be near us so we can protect her.

It is not that easy, we can't just ask her to move in with us. Even though I would like nothing more than this.

I don't like that she is away from us.

Me too.

My beast and I, we both are worried about her. We become really protective and possessive when it comes to our other halves. If they are fine, even then also we have this urge to constantly look out for them to make sure they are safe.

"I am home."

I feel slightly relieved knowing that she has reached her home safely. I have asked to let me know wherever she is going to, so I wouldn't be worried about her... much.

Thankfully, she agreed and doesn't give me a hard time by refusing to inform me about her whereabouts.

Opening the door, I enter the house only to be welcomed by my second brother, Theo.

He is elder than Felix and completely opposite of him. Anything can tick him off and he will not even think twice before killing anyone if they got on his wrong side. Even people tend to stay away from him because of his intimidating persona.

Similarly, like him, his beast is also very aggressive and once he is out of control it is really difficult to calm him down.

But to me, he is just my younger brother whom I love unconditionally.

"Hey." I hug him as it has been more than a year since I have seen him.

Brother.

My beast also seems happy to see our brother after a long time.

His eyes flash, momentarily, as his beast acknowledges us.

"Hunter who has hurt Felix is taken care of." An angry snarl ripples through his chest as he directly comes to the point.

Of course, just like me, even he might have felt Felix's pain and there is no way he could not have come home after knowing our brother is hurt.

One thing about Theo is that he loves fiercely, which he will never admit, especially he is really protective of Felix. He would give his life to protect his family. He had already proved that, by saving Felix's life when hunters killed our mother even though he was just thirteen years old. That is why scar which he got while saving Felix is still running down from his left eye towards his cheek as at that time his beast was not strong enough to heal him.

Our beast matures at the age of fifteen, before that we heal quickly but not completely. Sometimes the scars of the injuries are left behind if we are severely injured.

"Good, I knew they were dead the moment they touched Felix." I give him a small approving smile.

"I could feel his pain." He places his hand over his chest and frowns, "My beast just wanted to rip them."

I nod my head completely understanding his feelings as even my beast had similar thoughts, only at that time we had to think rationally and take care of Felix.

"You staying?" I ask him, as I loosen my tie and unbutton my top three buttons of the shirt while hanging my coat on the back of the couch.

"Yes." After thinking for a while he answers.

"It is good to have you back home, brother." Turning to him, I nod at him.

"I was..." He looks away and doesn't meet my eyes, "I was missing you." He utters in a really quiet voice.

He doesn't share how he is feeling other than his anger, so these words mean a lot to me. He never talked to anyone what had happened that night when mom was killed. But I can sense his distress and pain every time mom's name comes up in any discussion.

"I have found my soul." I smile and tell him as he looks at me with a shock and other emotion which I read as hope.

His eyes move around the house like he is expecting her to come out of thin air.

"She doesn't live with me." I shake my head and sit on the couch as he follows me, "She doesn't know about us, but she can sense our bond."

He simply listens to me even though he is not showing much but I know he is curious to know about Regina.

"Her name is Regina."

I smile when I notice his lips twitch upward in a faint smile.

"She has met Felix, and now I would love if you will meet her." I look at his expression which instantly changes and his lips sets into a straight line.

"You are my brother, my family, and it would mean a lot to me if you will meet her." I place my hand on his shoulder already knowing he will try to refuse to meet her, as he hardly interacts with anyone other than Felix and me.

The door to my house opens as Felix marches inside looking happy but soon his face deflates.

"Regina is not here." He makes a face but then his eyes widen when he sees Theo.

"Theo!" He smiles and rushes to him while wrapping his arms around him nearly throwing him off the couch.

"Get off me, fucker." Theo grimaces and tries to push Felix away pretending to look annoyed but I can't miss the happiness and relief in his eyes to see Felix.

"Fuck off." He harshly pushes Felix away when just to irritate him more he loudly kisses his cheek.

Felix knows how to push Theo's buttons and he never fails to do so. I can assure if there was anyone other than Felix who pulls even half of the shit which he does with Theo then they would have been long gone.

I always feel happy to have my brothers with me, but today this happiness seems incomplete without Regina. Especially, when the concern of her safety is on the top of my mind.
