Her Forever

(Book 5)- Chapter 31

Trinity’s POV

I was squeezed in like a sardine. As soon as I saw the burly man and the petite woman on the other side, Thaddeus and Theon were shoulders to shoulder, and I was stuck behind their muscular backs. I shouldn’t be bothered by this. However, the curiosity burned deep inside. I saw the strangest couple on the planet, or realm, whatever. Tattoos, piercings, menacing face, and a tiny little woman. Surely this wasn’t their parents. The woman was so small that this beastly wolf could easily be eaten.

“Hi, Mom,” Theon’s small voice spoke. Thaddeus was bolder, a bit gruff in his greeting.

“Guys, this is disgusting. You need to move that mirror. Our mate almost saw everything.” A gasp left the woman’s mouth.

“Seth, go get me some clothes! She is probably freaking out right now!” The man dubbed Seth only grumbled, unable to see his expression. I’m guessing he didn’t want her dress. “You look fine; you are covered. I’m just going to rip it off later,” he growled. Dear heavens. I see where Thaddeus gets his brazen words.

“I was human once, no afternoon tea unless you go do what I asked,” she scolded. Peaking over my mates’ shoulders, she glared at the beast fiercely. I quietly prayed that he didn’t get mad at her to a higher power. Seeing him angry would be something else if he was content just now.

“I don’t like tea,” he smirked, rubbing his thumb across her l*p.

“I’m talking about teeeeeea,” she sang with an obvious wink and a jab with her elbow. “The good stuff.” Seth was unaffected, keeping his brawny stature taught until his eyes widened. “Tea?” he mimicked her singing voice.

She nodded. “Tea.”

Seth abruptly left his seat; he was not covering his lower region, which was bare for all to see. Something shined brightly on the tip of his, ahem, thing. “OH MY GOSH!” I squealed, covering my eyes. Never in my life had I seen such a sight! Okay, well, I take that bake because my mates look like they had the same thing. Like, the exact same thing.

Except for one thing, he had his ‘thing’ pierced. Who does that? Biting the inside of my cheek, I felt the b***d drip onto my tongue. Thaddeus laughed heartily while Seth rushed to find a shirt for his Mom to wear.

“Trinity!” Theon grabbed my face cheeks, scrunching my face together. My lips puckered. “You’re bleeding!” Patting his arms to let him know I was alright, I turned to the crystal with Sadie fully clothed along with Seth. Oh, thank gods. My poor damn eyes. I saw my future father-in-law naked.

“I saw his… ‘thing,'” putting my fingers in air quotes. “It was pierced!” I whispered again, trying to hide behind Theon. He rolled his eyes and pulled me to his chest. “Sorry, babe, dads a bit of a barbarian with Mom. You get used to it after a while.”

His Mom giggled and patted Seth, who gave her a loving look while purring. It was so damn loud. Seth really cared about his mate; he was smiling and nuzzling into her neck. She adored it too. It was easier to look at them now that they were all clothed.

I can’t wait to tell Stacy how I saw my mates’ parents naked. She’ll be laughing for days.

“This is our Mom and Dad, Sadie and Seth, Queen and King of the Moon Kingdom.” Thaddeus and Theon moved their shoulders, allowing me to see their parents more clearly. Sadie smiled brightly while Seth nodded stiffly.

“It’s so nice to meet you!” She cooed. “I hope they are treating you well!” I nodded frantically. They were good to me, too good to me, really.

“Oh yes, very much.” Seth leaned closer to the crystal and looked around, sizing me up, I suppose.

“You haven’t marked her yet?” The disappointment in his tone was there; I slumped my shoulders.

“Well, of course not; you can’t do that to a human. You, of all people, should know that. We didn’t seal the deal for at least a few weeks!” Sadie’s voice squealed.

“That was different. If you weren’t under some magic s**t, I would have taken you the day of.” Sadie rolled her eyes and pet his cheek.

“Whatever you say,” she nuzzled his neck, instantly relaxing the beast of a werewolf.

“I’m sure my sons disappointed you since you had to rescue them from the pound. Maybe that’s why you haven’t mated to them yet. They were caught by mere humans and slept in a cold cage for months,” he scoffed back a laugh. “I know I wouldn’t mate some Alpha princes if they were caught in a human snare!”

Sadie scowled while both my mates rubbed their faces and squirmed in their seats. “Your muscle mass is less too; I expect you to still be training, mate or not,” he ordered.

“Yes, sir,” they both slumped in their seats. Thaddeus had his head tilted down, frowning. Hands hanging lifeless over his knees. Theon looked about the same; he weaved his hands through his hair, wincing at his father’s harsh words. I couldn’t read Seth; he had a tough exterior to him, so far, I wasn’t the biggest fan, but the boys loved him and had talked about him often. They would spar together, go on long runs and even tell stories of his days before meeting his mate. To make sure they didn’t follow in the same footsteps. Now, his father chastises them, the man or wolf they looked up to when they hit their first significant leadership role. I’m sure he messed up quite a bit in his life.

“King Seth, Sir. I think you are being too harsh on my mates. They were the first to encounter the gas months ago. They survived and kept the lives of werewolves a secret while being captive. They also led the way to a frontal assault yesterday without any casualties, even with the silver gas infiltrating the air!” Seth had good intentions, but he was doing it the wrong way. “You need to give them more credit.” I crossed my arms, narrowing my eyes. Seth was on the other side of a glass ball; he couldn’t do anything now. Later I might be in trouble, but these were my babies. I adopted them myself, and even if they get a verbal lashing from their father, I’ll speak right back. They have done nothing but a fantastic job so far. Take that beast, man.

Seth’s jaw ticked.

Sadie, realizing the situation was becoming a train wreck, perked up and began to ask questions about me to distract the tension. My likes, dislikes what I knew about their world and how excited she was when we would finally meet. She was excited to hear that I didn’t take things as bad as they could have gone. At least I didn’t walk in on some wolves mating like Sadie did. Her arm got ripped out of her socket because Rebecca, Seth’s sister, pulled her out of danger. She would have been attacked for disrupting the mating couples; intimate moment. Talk about bad luck. Meeting my mates and finding out about werewolves went much smoother. Except for the whole bear chasing thing, that was a bit weird.

“Mom, this isn’t just about meeting Trinity,” Thaddeus butted in. “We’ve got some problems, and we need a warrior team dispatched right away.” Seth sat up in the chair; he nodded off while Sadie listened to my dynamic story of finally meeting her boys in human form.

“But it was getting to the good part, they were dancing with her, and that Josiah jerk came up, I want to hear the rest,” Sadie whined, slumping her shoulders, pretending to cry.

“Mom, I promise,” Theon smiled brightly at his mother. “You both will spend a ton of time together, but time is an issue here.” Sadie nodded. “You know how to win me over, don’t you, baby?” Thaddeus and Seth snorted a laugh, but Theon gave no mind. He was the baby; he owned that title. My little Thumper.

“The mafia is after Trinity, more specifically, her father,” Thaddeus growled.

“The f**k is a mafia?” Seth pulled Sadie to his lap, wrapping his arms around her tiny waist. Thaddeus looked at me; taking a deep breath, I spilled it. I spilled it all.

“The mafia is a bunch of organized criminals,” I began. “It’s an organization that uses extortion and other criminal methods to gain money. They can be in business, underground fighting rings, selling weapons, drugs, they have their hands in everything, especially my, uh, father. He’s the don, the head guy. He can find out information about anyone or anything and make your life a living hell.” Thaddeus interlaced his fingers with mine, instantly soothing my worry.

“This mafia guy,” Theon added, “is the one supplying these silver gas grenades?” Theon looks at me for the right word. “They explode a few seconds later when a pin is pulled. Anything lower than an Alpha can have serious side effects. We’ve lost four mated couples, and it was powerful enough to knock an Alpha out for a few days if it reaches the lungs.”

Seth sat back in his chair, scratching his chin. “Alright, we are sending in the best warriors for this.” Thaddeus and Theon fist pumped each other, feeling they had won. “But we are coming too.” Their excitement was crushed.

“We got this,” Thaddeus babbled. “We just need to plan to lure her father out, and then we will crush them.” Thaddeus’ biceps flexed, and I couldn’t help but rub it. He smiled, planting a k**s on my forehead.

“No,” Seth growled. “If what Trinity says is true, we might be dealing with something too large for even us. If he has his hands in the pockets of anyone in that realm, what makes you think it will stay on Earth? What if he is working with rogues, dark fairies, or sorcerers. You do not have enough experience to handle this on your own. I hope you are wise enough to understand this.” The tone was final; the veins in his neck were thrumming. Sadie’s hand cupped his face, kissing him gently on the lips.

“Come back to me, Alpha.” Sweetly rubbing his face, he backed down. The hair on his neck no longer stood up straight as he nuzzled into her neck. “We will be there in the next day or so. We will travel light. We will need provisions and places to stay once we arrive. Five hundred warriors and two hundred trackers. I hope Alpha Big Paw has his large tents available.” Theon nodded.

“They do; thank you for this, Mom, Dad.” Sadie grinned hesitantly.

“I think he’s right on this guys,” I put my hand on both of their inner thighs. “Matteo Amato is not a guy we should take lightly. He will do anything to win,” I said seriously. Both of them attacked me with k****s on my neck and cheeks. Squealing a few times, they let up, only for both to grip me by the waist. They were my very own corset.

“I can’t wait to meet you, Trinity! I’ve waited for this day a long time! And do not worry, we will take care of your father, and no harm will come to you while the boys are around.”

“You see,” I interjected. “I’m not sure the don is even my father?” I picked my nails, looking innocently at my mates.

“What do you mean?” Theon took my other hand, causing me to stop picking my nails. It was a terrible habit, but I couldn’t help myself. When I get nervous, I can make my nails bleed for hours.

“I’m not sure if it was a dream or a memory. I fell asleep last night, and… it felt real. My mother was there, and she told me a love story about an Elf and a woman who met after the passing of a family member. They spent a few nights together. The woman returned to her husband because she wanted to save the Elf from his wrath. She got pregnant and had a baby. She told the story like it was someone else, but then she whispered in my ear that he gave her a gift, and it was me.”

Sadie’s mouth dropped. “This is so exciting! A mystery elf!!” Sadie jumped up and down in her seat, squealing like a little girl. Seth sat forward, watching her breasts heave up and down. “Maybe they were mates! Oh, that is even better!”

“Wait, wait, we don’t even know if this dream was real!” I interjected.

“Once you meet your mate, or in your case, mates, you can unlock memories. That is natural in the supernatural world, honey. Happened to me; it happens with others. Trust me, this dream sounds real. An elf is really your father!” Sadie fanned herself with her hand.

“Mind-link Mia, get her in here!” Sadie’s words were playful, but the meaning was not. She was serious. Seth continued to stare at Sadie’s chest until she slapped his arm. “Come on, tea?” Seth nodded his head quickly while he mind-liked Mia.

“Do you have any signs or symptoms of an elf?” Sadie’s smile widened in approval, but I shook my head. “Nope, pretty human.” Sadie tickled her lips with her fingers. “Strange, Mia would know more about that.”

“Mia can’t come; she’s out at a Fae colony,” Seth sat back in the chair again, taking his finger and dancing it around Sadie’s back.

“Holy s**t, you might be part elf,” Thaddeus whispered. “Can you talk animals?” My eyebrows furrowed.

“No? Never really tried either,” I laughed.

“What about growing stuff? Can you touch plants, and they just grow like Ivy from Batman?”

“Thaddeus,” Theon snapped. “I’m pretty sure she would have noticed if anything like that happened. Shut it; you are bothering her.”

Thaddeus growled back, “Don’t tell me what to do, ‘baby,’ he cooed sarcastically. Theon stood up, his arms twitching. “The f**k you call me?” Theon’s arm went out to grab Thaddeus; stepping in front of Thaddeus, I put my body flush with Theon.

“Calm down, Theon.” I shot a look at Thaddeus. “Thaddeus, that wasn’t nice,” my scowl remained. “Both of you need to calm down. You are not enemies; you are brothers.”

“Well done,” Sadie spoke, breaking our trance. The fight made me forget about my mates’ parents watching her children fight. “Theon, Thaddeus, I’m disappointed. You never fight. What is going on?”

Both of them looked at me. I might be the problem. Letting out a breath, I knew I needed to bow out.

“I’ll give you guys a minute, huh?” Each one gave me a peck on the lips while I walked over to the cloth door, stepping out.

“Don’t wander far,” Thaddeus warned.

Taking a deep breath, I walked forward to the bonfire in the middle of the pack. It wasn’t’ roaring like it did the night before; it was a nice slow burn. Sitting on the log, I stared into it. It was still early in the day; the pack was busy with projects. Building houses, fixing porches, and cleaning. Many were running, punching, and sparing with each other. I watched intently from afar.

It looked like fun.

Glancing back at the tent, they were in a heated conversation; who knows how long it would last. Surely they wouldn’t need me for a while. A puff of cold air left my nose, slapping my legs with my hands; I stood up. I’m going to learn how to fight like the wolves fight. One day, I will be one of them, and I wanted to kick a*s too.

With a skip in my step, I jogged to the training grounds that were forty yards away. Not even daring to look back, I smiled at my choice. This was going to be fun.

The ground was still soft from a bit of rain the night before and water from washing the b***d away from last night’s attack. I hid behind a large tree. Men and women were barely dressed. Men in basketball shorts, women in sports bras and leggings. Watching their moves, I began to mimic what they were doing. Jabs, pokes, and even kicks were moved into their actions to hit their opponent. It was close to the karate and jujitsu I had learned a few years ago.

“What are you doing?” A unique voice that carried authoritativeness hovered over my ears.
