Chapter 6
Layla's pov
We broke apart as we heard Adrian yelling my name. Just as I was about to get up, he burst through the door and pulled me to his chest. He put his face in my neck and kept breathing heavily.
"I thought I lost you. I was so scared." He pulled away from me to look me in the eyes. I saw the anguish in his eyes, and I immediately felt guilty.
"I'm sorry I put you through that. I didn't mean to make you worry."
"Just please let me know if you leave the room next time. When Bella told me you weren't in the room, I lost it." I wrapped my arms around his neck as his own made their way to my waist. "Why don't we spend today together, and you and Bella go shopping tomorrow?"
"Can we meet with Will and Charlotte too?" I asked hoping to be able to see my friends again.
"Sure. Whatever you want, love." He pulled me out the room after letting me say bye to my brother.
"What would you like to do?" he asked when we reached the room.
"I don't know. We can watch a movie, I guess." He grabbed a remote from the table and pressed a button. Automatically a t.v. started to come out from the wall. He smirked at my gaping face and tugged me towards him. "What would you like to watch?" I managed to squeak out.
"It doesn't matter to me. I won't be watching it." Finally after a while The Fast and the Furious was put on and immediately I knew why he said he wouldn't be paying attention.
Before the movie even started he was distracting me. He played in my hair, kissed the back of my neck, and even drew circles on my thigh since I was once again only wearing one of his shirts to cover my under clothes.
When my favorite part came on he completely made me miss it. Just as I leaned in to watch the part closely, he nipped at my neck with his teeth, making me gasp. I slapped his arm and he let out a laugh.
"You made me miss it," I whined.
"Yes, I did, and it was intentional." I glared him and he smiled innocently.
"So, are we going to be doing this all day?" I asked.
"Well, how would you feel about going on a date with me?" I looked at him shocked. I could tell he was nervous, but I didn't know why. There was no way I was going to turn him down.
I wrapped my arms around him and looked him in the eye. "I would love to go on a date with you." He smiled down at me and pecked my lips.
"That means I have to go deal with a few things," he said getting up and I groaned making him chuckle. "Make sure you are ready by eight." He kissed my forehead then walked out the door.
I looked at the time and got off the bed. It was only two o'clock, so I had a long time before I had to get ready, so I started to unpack, which was long overdue. I put some of my clothes in the open section of the closet that Adrian had left open for me. I put the rest in the dresser beside Adrian's. He told me he had it ordered right after I said that I would move in with him. I once joked around saying what if I didn't want to sleep in his room. He just laughed and said that he wouldn't have allowed me to sleep anywhere else.
After I was done unpacking everything, it was five thirty, so I went to look for something to wear. I walked into the closet and looked at all my options. I spent about half an hour trying to decide what to wear, but when I chose, I was happy with my decision. It was a white crop top and skirt outfit that looked like a dress. Since I didn't know what we were doing or where we were going this was the best I could come up with.
Grabbing the outfit, I decided to take a shower. Now that I was unpacked, I could use my own soap, so I could finally smell like myself again. For this I was very happy. It is not that I didn't like smelling like him, it is just that I could only take so much Old Spice.
It took me a while to get dressed and straighten my hair. By the time I was done, it was seven forty five. As a finishing touch, I put on some lip gloss then waited for Adrian.
At exactly eight, the door opened, but it wasn't Adrian. It was Liam. When he came in he had a huge smile on his face, and I could tell he was happy for me.
"May I walk you to your date?" He offered me his arm and I gladly took it. It felt like old times again, and I couldn't be any happier. So many wonderful things have happened to me since Adrian walked into my life. I found love and even got my brother back.
Liam led me outside and into the woods behind the castle. At first I looked at him questionably, but as we headed further into the dense woods, I was too busy admiring the lights strung up in the trees above. Along with the lights there were candles making a trail which was good because not too long ago Liam left me with a kiss on my forehead and instructions to follow the trail.
When the candles ended I looked up and was awestruck. I was at a waterfall. It was the most beautiful thing I have ever witnessed in my life. I was still standing there, the mist from the waterfall surrounding me, when I felt tingles go through my body as arms were wrapped around me. Making sure my eyes weren't watering with how beautiful everything was, I faced the man that held my heart.
Adrian's pov
When she walked in the meadow, I was amazed. She was absolutely, breathtakingly beautiful. I was stunned beyond words. As I watched her walk closer to the waterfall I couldn't help thinking that I was looking at the goddess that I called mine. I couldn't believe I could have done anything that made me have someone like her in my life. Taking a deep breathe I walked towards her and wrapped her in my arms. I saw her cheeks lift up in a smile, and then turn to face me.
"Everything is so beautiful." She looked me in the eyes, and I could tell she was truly happy.
"Good, but we aren't staying here." I picked her up and smiled when she gasped in shock. "Do you trust me?"
"Of course."
"Then close your eyes," I told her. When she did what I said, I started walking towards the waterfall. There was a path on the ground where you didn't have to get wet to get to the cave on the other side of the waterfall. When I finally got in the cave, I set her down in a blanket and told her to open her eyes.
As soon as she did, her eyes widened in awe. She looked at the candles lined up at the walls of the cave, the lights pinned to the ceiling, and the basket that sat on the blanket between us.
"You did this?" I nodded and I was suddenly thrown back as she launched herself at me. I laid us down so she had her head on my chest, and I stroked one hand through her hair, while the other was holding hers.
We sat like that a while until I heard her stomach growl. She blushed and I laughed as I sat us up. I pulled out the food that I had packed and spread it across the blanket. The whole night we just talked, and I fell more in love with the woman that has always held my heart.
