Harlow

Harlow's POV

I still hadn't spoken to anyone. Leo, Kody and Mac turned up with Sue and Steve to try and get me out of my head but I didn't trust anyone anymore. Anyone who I trusted always hurt me so it was better to rely on myself. We were heading back today because everyone needed to head back to work and Mac needed to pick up Owen.

I was put in the car with Toby and Leo and climbed in the back so they knew to leave me alone. They had all tried to get me to open up to them but I refused to. Leo hoped in the back of the car with me "Harlow you can't push us all away. Please don't do this. I can't lose you again. You have a baby to think about and you are going to need help. Do you think Dean is not going to be waiting for you? That baby is the next heir to the club and he won't let you go. You will need all of us to keep him away" Leo said. "I don't want to see him or the others again" I whispered. "We got you Harlow" Toby said.

I ignored him. "Harlow please don't shut me out. I'm sorry ok. I'm fucken sorry for what I said. I didn't mean it and I regret it. Please Harl's I need my best mate back" Toby said. "Does someone want to tell me what the hell is going on between you two?" Leo asked. We hadn't begun driving yet, everyone had left but us. I got out of the car not wanting to be in an inclosed space with Toby anymore. Leo jumped out after me and Toby followed quickly. "Don't run away from me Harlow. I will hunt you down no matter where you go. I don't know what else to do to fix this. Fuck" Toby rambled.

"What the fuck is going on with you two?" Leo said. "I fucked up ok. I told her she was a burden when she called me out for ditching her. I could of caught her before she fell but I was to busy fucking someone else to see it. Instead I pushed her when I should of been there to catch her. Harlow you need to let me in. I can't do this without you" Toby sobbed out. "The fuck? You two were close, I was jealous of you. Why would you say that to her?" Leo asked. "Do you realise how hard it is to see the girl you love be with someone else?" Toby asked. I froze, did he just say he loved me? "Shit Harlow I didn't want you to find out like that. This is fucken messed up" Toby said.

I needed to get away so ran to the toilet block going into the girls toilet. "Harlow please don't run from me. I'm sorry ok I'm fucking sorry" Toby called. I dropped to me knees vomiting in the toilet. My stomach was churning and I didn't know if it was because of what Toby had said or if it was cause I was pregnant. I wiped my mouth and sat on the toilet. I needed to use the bathroom as well.

I looked at my underwear and there was blood on my undies "shit" I called. "Harlow are you ok? I'm coming in" Leo called out. He was knocking on the cubicle door. "Harlow are you ok?" He asked. "I'm bleeding" I whispered back. Next minute Toby was standing in front of the locked door "Harlow open the door" he called. "I'm bleeding. I think I'm losing the baby" I replied quietly. "Harlow fucken open the door now" Leo called.

I cleaned myself up and shoved toilet paper in my underwear opening the door. I must of looked scared "shit Harlow it's ok let's get you to the hospital" Toby said. Leo and Toby lead me to the car. Toby sat in the back with me while Leo decided to drive. Toby kept trying to call his mum to let them know they were taking me to the hospital but there was no reception until we got to town. An hour later Toby managed to call his mum and she convinced him just to take me to the hospital in Sydney that I would not bleed to death on the way there and she would meet us there.

A few hours later we pulled up to the emergency department. Sue and Steve were waiting for me along with Mac and Kody. Great just what I needed, not. We headed into the emergency department to book in. I remained quiet while Sue did the talking. I was lead into the triage room where a nurse asked me a bunch of questions about when my last period was and how far along I was which I didn't know. From the last day of my last period she worked out I was about 8 weeks pregnant. She took my blood pressure and asked what was wrong. I explained that I was bleeding. Once I answered all the questions she told me to wait while she spoke to a doctor. She came back a few minutes later to lead me to a consult room where she took some blood and got me situated for the doctor.

I laid on the bed staring at the ceiling while Toby held my hand. I needed to be grounded and holding his hand helped. I hadn't forgiven him for what had gone down but I needed some comfort. I hadn't decided till this point about whether I was keeping the baby or not but now I was worried the baby was gone and I wanted nothing more than to keep the baby. I promised myself that if the baby was ok I would keep it regards of what I felt for Dean. "Harlow do you want me to call Dean for you?" Mac asked. I just shook me head no. I needed to worry about me and no one else. "Ok" he said and stepped back.

An hour later the doctor walked into the room. "Harlow, I hear you are pregnant and bleeding" the doctor said. I just nodded my head. "Right well we aren't concerned about miscarriage at this stage what we are worried about is ectopic pregnancy. I'm going to see if I can get the portable ultrasound machine to find out what's going on in there" the doctor said before leaving again. "You ok Harl's?" Toby asked but I just continued to look at the spot on the roof.

The doctor walked back in with the machine "ok Harlow I need you to lift your shirt for me so I can see what's going on" he said. I did as I was told. He squirted some gel on my stomach and then used the wand to run over my stomach. He checked around for a bit before he stopped on a little blob. "Harlow this is your baby right here. The flashing part is the babies heartbeat which seems strong". The doctor said.

"It looks like a smudge but it seems healthy. I'm going to refer you to the problems in early pregnancy clinic so they can look into why you were bleeding" he continued. He turned the machine off handing me some paper towel to clean myself up. He took the machine out and the nurse walked back in handing me paper work and advising me to go to the clinic in the morning at the woman's hospital. I thanked her and we left. I had a baby, a smudge growing in my belly and no one could take that away from me.
