Gamma’s Destined Mate.

Chapter 64

Adella Arcos - POV

My head was pounding like someone was continuously banging a hammer on my skull while I felt my body ache for even the slightest movement. I slowly opened my eyes and looked around my surroundings. For a few seconds, I was confused as to why my bedroom seemed so dingy and different, but everything slowly started getting back into my memory.

This is definitely not my apartment.

It was a dilapidated old cabin with a few broken chairs and tables put to one side, the window was broken, letting the cold wind enter the constricted area, and there was a small light bulb above my head illuminating a dull orange light. But what got me nauseated was the smell. It was so bad that it was choking me, and I knew that I might vomit any moment now.

“Get the bucket!” I heard a feminine voice.

“You get the door.” that was definitely Beta Lanzo. I heard a door open, and then heavy footsteps came into the cabin. “Looks like she is awake.” beta Lanzo said when he walked to stand in front of me, and a few seconds later, the female came and stood beside him. I was shocked to see Crystal standing next to him.

“What are you doing with him?” I asked her, and she only snorted at me and rolled her eyes at me.

“You know very well why I am here,” she said, but I was still confused. “I am here to see you die, Adella,” she said in a monotonous voice.

“But why? I have never done anything to you.” I asserted, but she shook her head.

“Are you sure about that? Because you snatched something that I wanted.”

“I have always been very conscious to never cross your path, Cyrstal. So what…”

“Jose, I wanted Jose for myself, but when I realized that he was your mate, I just couldn't stand it. How can you always get the best? You know I am also sick of hearing your chants every single day.”

“What are you talking about?”

“Haven't you noticed?” She asked me, exhilarated, and started walking back and forth in front of me. “You climbed up the ladder from being an omega to a regular pack member, and everyone was astonished by your progress, one of those people was my dear brother. He would praise you every single time we spent time together. And as that continued, I felt like I was slowly being swallowed by a darkness.”

“But what does that have to do with me? You had all the privileges I never did, Crystal, so how can you compare yourself with me?” I asked her, and this time, she stopped walking and stared directly into my eyes. Her eyes were filled with so much hatred, which sent a cold shiver down my spine.

“I never used it the right way. Well, that is what my brother thinks because I failed high school, and after he spent millions of dollars to get me into college, I failed there too. So, he believes that I am not capable of doing anything. Whereas, he would always keep telling me how it would have been better if he had sponsored your education instead of mine.” I clearly heard the pain in her voice, but I didn't know what to do. She definitely needs to sit and have a proper conversation with her brother and seek medical care, too.

“But why do you need Jose? I mean, he is just a Gamma, and you are an Alpha’s daughter.” I asked her next, and this time, a mocking smile appeared on her face.

“He is one of the most powerful Gamma you can ever find, along with all those good looks. No girl would ever say no to getting mated with him,” she said before she turned around to face Beta Lanzo.

“So, how are we going to kill her?” she asked him as if she was confused about which color t-shirt to buy.

“She bloody stabbed me with silver, and that has made me weak, and the pain is agonizing, so I want her to feel the same pain that I did.” Beta Lanzo said, and this made my heartbeat increase. But there was a slight satisfaction that I was able to create a lasting impact on beta Lanzo.

“So, shall we go ahead with my method?” Crystal asked, and beta Lanzo nodded his head. Precipitation started forming on my forehead, and my body started to tremble.

I have no idea what these two have in store for me, but all I know is that it is not good. Crystal left the cabin while Beta Lanzo walked away to get whatever was prepared, and that was when I noticed that he was badly injured. If I could just take him down, then it would be easier for me to escape.

I looked around my surroundings when I spotted something shiny under all that broken furniture. I will have to wait till he leaves to get that. “Damien, can you come here for a second?” I heard Crystal yell, and he glanced my way for a second before he walked out of the cabin.

After making sure his footsteps had gone as far away as possible, I used the trick that they taught me in my defense class and quickly untied my ropes. I got up from the chair and soundlessly walked to the broken furniture and pulled out the knife. It was the same knife I used to stab him.

What an idiot.

I quickly got back to my place, loosely tied the ropes, and waited till someone came in.

Gamma Jose Gomez - POV

After hanging up, I turned around to face Sebastian. “She must be working with Beta Lanzo,” Sebastian said, and I nodded my head.

“From the way Alpha Ralph spoke, I have a feeling he has no clue what his sister and ex-beta are up to,” I said, and Sebastian nodded his head.

“So, what are we going to do next?”

Ping.

I opened the messages on my phone to see that it was Alpha Alonso.

I have sent a few of the warriors and a tracker. Send them to track Adella- Dylan.
