Chapter 63
Gamma Jose Gomez - POV
I rang the bell for the fifth time and waited till she came down to open.
Click.
I heard the lock open, so I stepped back, and when the door swung open, I was disappointed to see someone else there. “Hello, is Adella at home?” I asked the guy, and he narrowed his eyes at me.
“Who are you?”
“I am her… friend. She didn't open the door.”
“I don't know if she is here, but I don't think I can just let you inside since I have never seen you in this building.” the guy said before he stepped out and closed the door behind him. “Try calling her and then go in,” he said before he walked out of there.
If she answered the call, I wouldn't have been here, idiot.
I rolled my eyes before I walked to the back of the building. Her balcony door was open, but I didn't see her inside. “Let's climb up and see,” Carlos suggested. Even though I was still skeptical about his idea, something was telling me to do it. I looked around my surroundings before I began climbing up.
When I reached her balcony, I jumped inside and entered her house. A few things were messed up in the living room, and I saw drops of blood on the wooden floor.
What happened here?
I walked into her bedroom, but that was as messed up as this, and then I saw the huge mud footprints on her white carpet. Something has happened here. I ran back into the living room, left the apartment the way I came in, and quickly dialed Sebastian’s number. “Hello, w…”
“Someone has kidnapped Adella,” I told him the moment he picked up the phone.
“What! Are you sure about that?”
“One hundred percent. But I have no idea where they have taken her.”
“Okay, relax. And tell me, do you see any CCTV cameras in the area you are standing?” Sebastian asked me while I heard a lot of noise in the background. I walked back to the front of the building and looked up and down the streets.
“Yes, a few shops have them,” I said.
“Good, you wait right there, I will be there as soon as I can,” he said before the line was disconnected. It would take hours for Sebastian to get here, and I didn't know how will I wait so long. My eyes caught sight of a bakery just a few blocks away from Adella’s apartment. It had a signboard saying that it was open twenty-four seven.
I walked towards that bakery, and when I entered, I realized that it was not as crowded as it should be. Only one old man was there drinking a cup of coffee. I walked up to the cashier. “Hello, what can I get for you?” the boy working there asked me. He looked beyond bored and irritated to be in this place, and this only pricked my patience.
“Were you working here late last night?” I asked him.
“No, my shift is over by eight.”
“Who was here last night?”
“The owner is the person who takes over after me.”
“Can I talk to that owner now?” I asked him, and he nodded his head before he walked inside, and a few minutes later, a middle-aged woman came out with the boy.
“Hello, ma'am, can I…”
Ring ring.
I took my phone out to see that it was Sebastian. “Excuse me,” I said before I stepped away from there and answered the call. “Hello?”
“Did you manage to get inside the apartment?”
“Yes, and I think someone must have kidnapped her. And I think who it might be.”
“Beta Lanzo?”
“Yes,” there is no one else who would do this. I should have been more careful when Adella stayed here.
“Okay, don't do anything, I will come there as soon as I can,” Sebastian said before he cut the call. I turned around to face the woman, who had an annoyed look on her face.
“I am sorry, but I think I got to go,” I said before I walked out of there. Several hours later, I saw a black Porsche pull up right behind my car, and Sebastian quickly got down and walked towards me.
“I informed Dylan about what happened. Anyway, did you get any clue?” Sebastian asked me, and I shook my head. I think our only hope is the CCTV cameras in here.
“Give me a few minutes, I will hack into that, and we can see where they went,” Sebastian said, then we both got into his car, and he took out his laptop and began working. A few minutes later, he turned the laptop towards me to show what he had found.
“It is beta Lanzo who kidnapped her, but there was someone else with him, too,” Sebastian explained before he played the video. When Adella was running away in the opposite direction of the CCTV cameras, a woman stepped out from the alley and put a bag on her head.
“Are you able to see her face?” I asked him, and he nodded his head and zoomed the camera. I was shocked to see Crystal’s face. Once Adella was out, both Crystal and Beta Lanzo dragged her toward the forest.
“What is she doing with Beta Lanzo?” I asked out loud before I leaned back in my seat.
“Why don't you call Alpha Ralph and see if she is in the pack,” Sebastian said, I nodded my head and dialed his number. He didn't pick up his call the first time, and after several calls, he finally picked it up.
“Hello, Alpha Ralph…” I casually began speaking to him, but when he began replying, I felt like something was off with him. “Is everything okay back there, Alpha Ralph?”
“I am afraid not, Gamma Gomez. Someone has kidnapped my sister, and I am still not able to find out who it is,” he said in an angry tone.
