Recap
“Now, we plan,” I stated as I called Elder Wise to my office. “Elder Wise is on his way to my office. He knows a lot more about the packs.”
There was a knock on the door. My dad reached over and opened the door for Elder Wise. I knew he was confused as to why he was called, but he would soon know. I hoped and prayed to the Goddess he would know what we asked of him.
He bowed to me. “Can I help with something?”
“What do you know about Alveraz’s territory and Alpha Black”s? Someone took one of my youngest brothers. I’m sure it was the bitch witch who took him before she escaped, but I don’t know why he would let himself be taken.” I thought about what I said. “He let himself be taken,” I said quietly.
Sonny’s POV
“I can help. Alpha Black is a good man, a good Alpha. I don’t see him being part of what the little shit was up to. I’m on good terms with him if it helps,” Elder Wise commented as he looked around at everyone.
I nodded my head and pointed to the place on the map Kat had circled. “My brother is here. I know it’s on the border of Alpha Black’s territory-”
“-um, his cells actually go underground in his territory. We could hear some of his guards move over us. It was muffled but I could hear them talk at times,” Kat told me.
“How do you know it was them?” I asked her, not understanding how she could have heard them.
“They speak Italian or Latin. They figure if no one understands them all the better,” Kat replied as she hugged herself. I walked over to her and circled my arms around her.
Elder Wise stepped forward. “She’s right. They speak both of those to confuse anyone around their borders or if they don’t want anyone to know what they are saying in front of another Alpha.”
Elder Wise picked up his cell phone and called Alpha Black. “Alpha, I’m sorry for calling so late but our Royal Alpha King has some questions.” I heard him say.
Elder Wise handed me his cell phone and nodded his head. “Hello, Alpha Black,” I greeted. “I need to know if you have had some unusual activities around your borders?”
“How did you know? We’ve heard screams but could never find where they were coming from,” he replied.
“On your Northern border, there is a jail or cells that run from Alveraz’s territory to yours. They are underground and spelled by witches. We will be coming that way soon and I wanted to make sure it was okay for me to be on your territory,” I explained as I paced.
“You are the Royal Alpha King, no? You don’t need to ask my permission, but thank you for asking. You are more than welcome to be on my territory. Anyone you bring will be welcome. And, we will add men to your group. I can’t stand that man. The whole pack is sick. The women are treated as if they were dirt under their shoes. They fuck them and hardly feed them. They also share their women with pack soldiers. It’s sickening and I’ve personally saved a lot of women from his pack,” Alpha Black explained to me.
“We will be there soon. Matter of fact we will be there within the hour if that okay?”
“Come on. We will be waiting,” Alpha Black answered as the phone went dead.
“We are all clear. I want to get some of our Royal guards. I need to wake up my Gamma and have him take our people to safety. I need to ask Sandra if she knows where the safe rooms are. Let’s get our gear on and get ready.” I called Tyler and Sandra to my office, apologizing profusely. I hated to interrupt their time together but this was important.
Everyone else left the office as Kat and I waited for Sandra. I pulled Kat with me and sat in my desk chair, Kat in my lap. I wasn’t sure what was going to happen and I was worried. I need to plan everything perfectly. I couldn’t lose my brother because of hurried actions.
I made sure to call up twenty of my Royal army, letting them know to be ready to travel with me. I knew I could trust them, but I would be making sure they aren’t spelled, and then I would spell them for everything.
I heard the knock on the door. I called out for them to enter, noticing fresh marks on their necks and a flush to their faces. “I’m very sorry to disturb you, but duty calls. Sandra, do you know where the old safe rooms are?”
“I can do better than that,” she stated as she pulled a book from her back. “I found this and hid it from the shit. It’s from a King about five-hundred years ago. No one knows about this huge safe room but the Royal family. It’s where he would hide his daughters and mate. It’s the reason why the Royal wolves pick their King, Beta, etc. The King’s sons would fight and die. Only after an unnatural evil is defeated that the Royal King’s son can succeed his father.” She took a huge breath and bowed her head. “I’m sorry. I read the diary. It called to me. Now I know why. I can help get everyone to safety.”
“Sandra, thank you for listening to your heart. This was exactly what was needed. I need you to think about the plans in your mind. I know you’ve explored and found it. I don’t care. Think about where it’s at, okay?” It didn’t take a moment to get the plans out of her head. It didn’t take but a second when we were at the entrance to the safe room.
“Holy shit! This place is huge. It’s almost like a mini castle. Let’s get the Elder’s wives and children in here first, then anyone else I deem right. I don’t trust easily and I don’t want someone in here that isn’t right in the head,” I explained, shaking my head at the huge amount of room. “Make sure to bring the Omega’s in here too, okay?”
I spelled the room, hallway, and door. I placed a spell on the door that would not allow anyone under a spell or with evil intent. I wanted to make sure my people were safe. I knew the castle was almost empty, but the people here needed to be safe.
“If anyone cannot walk in the safe room I need you, Tyler, to incapacitate them and take them to the cells. You and Sandra are spelled against anything, okay?” I ordered, watching their faces break out in huge grins.
“Yes, sir, Royal Alpha King. It would be our pleasure,” Tyler replied as he took Sandra’s hand and walked off.
“Try to be quick. I’ll call everyone to the throne room and they will meet you there,” I said to their backs as they hurried out of the tunnels. I turned and added a spell against anyone finding my people by smell. I made sure to spell all of the tunnel and the secret panel.
“Are you coming with me or are you going to stay here?” I asked Kat, startling her.
“You’re asking me? I want to go with you but I wasn’t sure if you would let me. Let’s go change into our clothes. I know you have something we can wear to blend in and protect us, right?”
I rolled my eyes and laughed, pulling her to me and teleporting us back to my office. “Okay, wow! Nice change of clothing, mate,” Kat said as she laughed and checked out her clothing, finding weapons everywhere on her body.
“Can you use a gun, sword, or blade?” I asked, making sure she would be okay.
“Yes. My father taught me before he was killed trying to rescue me,” she quietly replied, a tear running down her face.
“Don’t worry, we will take care of all of them. I have a feeling this is going to be a huge battle. Can you stay with me?”
“Yes, Sonny, I can stay with you. I know how protective you are and I’m thankful.” Kat pulled me down for a quick kiss.
“Alright, break it up. We have a rescue mission and a pack to take down,” Blaine, my dad, commented, causing a light blush on Kat’s face.
A/N: Filler chapter. I can't wait for everyone to see what happens next. I dreamed up the next few chapters. They just came to me. I'm hoping I can get everything written well, but it should be interesting.
