Recap

“Can you use a gun, sword, or blade?” I asked, making sure she would be okay.

“Yes. My father taught me before he was killed trying to rescue me,” she quietly replied, a tear running down her face.

“Don’t worry, we will take care of all of them. I have a feeling this is going to be a huge battle. Can you stay with me?”

“Yes, Sonny, I can stay with you. I know how protective you are and I’m thankful.” Kat pulled me down for a quick kiss.

“Alright, break it up. We have a rescue mission and a pack to take down,” Blaine, my dad, commented, causing a light blush on Kat’s face.

Sonny’s POV

I nodded my head and called some of my guards to my office. I got an immediate mind-link from the warriors and guards, telling me the skinwalkers had disappeared.

What the hell?

I teleported all of us to the front of the castle, the men immediately bowing. “You may rise.”

They stood and one man stepped forward. “Royal Alpha King, the skinwalkers and witches left as quick as they came. We looked for them but they were gone. I don’t know why.” He bowed and stepped back.

“Men and women, we are about to be in the most danger we’ve been in for a while. Alveraz’s pack has taken my brother and stolen mates away, hiding them in dank cells and raping them. Who’s ready to go with me to help the women and take out a pack?” All the warriors raised their fists to their chests and bowed. “I’m going to need a few of you to stay and guard the castle. I will let you sort it out, but we leave in ten minutes. Meet me here at that time.”

I turned and teleported us back in the office, noticing my mom pacing. I knew she was scared, frightened she was going to lose one of her pups, but we need to smart about our next moves.

“Mom, I know you want to go in guns blazing, but we need to be smart about it, okay? We won’t lose him. He’s tough and smart.” I paused. “But.” For some reason, a thought came to mind. “But, not everything is black and white. Just remember that when we see him, okay?”

“What do you know, Sonny? I know something came to you. Please, Sonny, you need to tell me something,” my mom begged, almost down on her knees.

I opened my mouth and shut it several times. “He can’t tell you. You will need to trust him with your whole heart. Follow exactly what he tells you and all should end in victory, but if you step out of line and not listen to the Royal King then your som will die.” She sighed and stroked my mom’s hair. “Listen and obey his every command and Kat’s okay?”

“Okay, Moon Goddess,” my mom said defeated, knowing she couldn’t use the mom card.

“That goes for all of you. Don’t step out of line. Do everything Sonny and Kat tell you or it will end up bad. Really bad. I need to go before I get into trouble,” my grandmother told everyone. I turned to Kat and raised an eyebrow, as to say, ‘what the hell?’ She shook her head and gave me a confused expression, the same one I had.

I turned back and noticed my grandmother was gone. “Does everyone have their weapons?” I asked as Kat shook her head no, a smile appearing on her face.

“No. I need to go to the armory, okay?” She asked as she disappeared, leaving me confused and annoyed.

“That wasn’t strange at all,” Windy sarcastically said as she followed after my mate. It wasn’t but a few minutes and they were back.

I sniffed the air and sneezed three times. “Is that dynamite?” I asked as I looked at her with wide eyes.

She giggled as Windy smirked. “Yes. Don’t we need to meet the guards and warriors outside?”

I shook my head at my mate, wondering what she was up to. “Is everyone ready now?” When they nodded their heads, I teleported all of us to the front of the castle, causing a few of the warriors to jump and smile, then bow again.

“Alright, we’re not going to get anything done if you keep bowing. For now, I want you to call me Alpha and don’t bow. Most people don’t know what I look like, so let’s keep it that way. I will be suppressing my power into that of an Alpha. You will know when I show myself and my power. Let’s go take care of these evil bastards and come home victorious. You have all seen my twin baby brothers. Do not take out anyone looking like this one.” I pointed at Asher as they looked him over and nodded their heads. “The guards need to be stationed inside the castle. Everyone one of you has been spelled against just about everything, the castle has been too. Get ready for the ride of a lifetime,” I said before my family teleported everyone to the woods around Alpha Black’s pack.

A few of the warriors had thrown up but most of them smiled at us. I walked out of the woods and stood in front of Alpha Black’s packhouse, letting him know where we were. It didn’t take him but a few minutes until he walked out of the woods to the East of the packhouse.

“I assume you are the Royal Alpha King?” He asked as he bowed down.

“Yes. But, I don’t want anyone to know. I figure it’s better if I act as if I’m a visiting Alpha, so please don’t bow to me in front of others,” I explained as he nodded his head and came out of his bow.

He walked forward and clasped my hand in a warrior’s handshake, his hand grabbing my forearm as I did the same to his. We squeezed each other’s forearms and stepped back. I watched as he nodded his head as if he weighed and measured me, finding a warrior instead of a boy.

“I guess I should introduce myself and my mates,” my mom said as she glanced at me.

“Alpha Black, this is my mom, Alpha Summer, and my dads’, Alpha Blaine and Alpha Zane. They have come with me to help and to find my baby brother. He was taken earlier by a witch, but we traced him back to fucking Alveraz’s pack or was his pack.” I called Asher to me. “This is his twin. I would appreciate it if they don’t kill Ander.”

“You would appreciate,” she spat out. “What-”

“Enough, Alpha Summer. You knew what I meant. Calm down,” I whispered yelled at her, trying not to lose my cool. She needed to not undermine my authority. I hated to treat her like anyone else but I couldn’t have her go half-cocked into this fight.

“I’m sorry, Alpha,” she quietly commented as I walked over to her and gave her a hug.

I know you are worried, Mom, but please don’t question me when I know what I’m doing. If you have ideas for something better mind-link me, please,” I mind-linked her as I let her go and turned back to Alpha Black.

He smiled and nodded his head. “Come on. I have a huge conference we can use. All of your warriors, guards, and family can come.”

We followed quietly behind him as I went over everything in my mind I would need to speak about. I knew Alpha Black was unmated and he had no luck in finding his mate. I had hoped we would find her for him. He had been looking for a long time and had gone to Alveraz’s pack looking - not that it helped him find her.

We walked into a humongous room. I thought he said large but damn. I noticed he had several warriors with him along with his Beta and Gamma. I nodded to them, noticing they didn’t bow to me. I was happy to know they thought I was only an Alpha but I had a feeling it was more than that.

I soundproofed the room, Kat following in my footsteps. I noticed Windy and Ares with listening devices in their hands. I could tell Alpha Black was in shock from what he was seeing and sensing. Windy and Ares sent the listening devices into the woods, surrounded by a bubble with voices from my mate.

"Now, should we get to it?"
