When we were done eating Sonny stood up, pulling me up with him. “Elders, Beta couple, we need to go to my office to talk about this mate thing if you will follow me, please. The elders nodded their heads and followed behind Windy and Ares as we led the way to Sonny’s office, one I didn’t know about until now.

Sonny’s POV

I should have been thinking about the meeting, but Kat had turned my mind to mush with her words, and she knew she had. If I had known she wanted more I would have happily had her against the wall and been late to dinner. She was so sexy and her words turned me on even more.

I had a very intelligent mate. Her actions when she was held in the dungeon was nothing short of amazing. I could tell she thought about her plan before she executed it. She was quick with her thoughts, faster than I was. I had to wonder if it was not one of her powers. I needed to speak with her about the powers she was going to gain from being my mate. She was already powerful, to begin with, and I couldn’t wait to see what she was going to be blessed with.

We made it to my office, I made sure the office was soundproofed and checked for any listening devices, noticing Windy had one in her hand and Kat had two in hers. I shook my head and motioned to the door and watched them dispose of them by putting them in a bubble with some whispers. My mate seemed to catch me by surprise every time she placed a spell on anyone or anything.

“Now, that the bugs are out of my office I’m going to have my mate put a protective bubble around us, if you will, Kat?” I asked as she nodded her head and did exactly what I asked but adding a sound barrier to the bubble, too.

I watched as Kat pulled a drawing tablet out and her pencils. I didn’t know why I thought she wouldn’t be able to do something when she showed me who’s boss. I hugged her and had her sit at my desk so she would have a solid surface to work on.

“We needed an artist who could do a rendering, so I guess it will be me - if you will have me. If there is anyone else here who’s mate was kidnapped and held, I can draw the picture for you, too, okay?” She softly asked as they smiled.

Elder Wise was the first to describe the man who took his mate. Kat would ask him questions and he would answer. I knew she needed to get a feel for the man, but I also knew she could look into his mind and see what he saw. I was positive she would ask him before invading his mind, she was very careful who she read.

When the picture was done, I looked at Windy wide-eyed as did the Elders. All of the Elders yelled out about this man is the one who took their mates. I was trying not to fume, but I wasn’t having too much luck. I could feel Kat wrapping her hands around my waist to calm me down. It helped me to get my temper under control and take a huge breath to stable myself even more.

“Thank you, Kat,” I whispered as I hugged her to me.

I could see the anger in the council Elder's faces. I could see a few of them taking breaths in and trying to bring themselves back to slightly angered instead of enraged. They kept taking in deep breaths, Windy was laying a hand on their backs to calm them down. We could make a person calm with just one touch - that is if we are calm at the time, too.

“Okay, so we know it’s the same man who’s taking mates from Alphas and Elders. I will deal with Alveraz soon. Windy, if you could please order him to be here within the week? The sooner the better.” I looked to see her nodding at me. “And, if he doesn’t come here with you ordering him...I will take care of him by ordering him. He won’t like it but he can’t go against my order. What I want to know is how is he holding them in other Alpha’s pack prisons.”

“He has to have something on them-” Ares tried to say.

“-or he has a strong witch on his side,” Kat cut in, her eyes going wide. “He had a witch with him when he held me," she breathed out. "They were friends with benefits. His mate won’t feel anything because she spells her.”

“What is wrong with this man? He has a mate?” One of the Elders yelled as he paced around, trying not to step out of the bubble.

“He does, Elder Snider. He hasn’t told anyone other than people in his pack, but they are just as depraved as he is. I’ve seen them rape some of the women. They are out of control and are more wolf than man,” Kat told him as she looked down.

I could feel her sadness through our link. I walked over to her and hugged her to me. “You did what you could, Kat.” She shook her head no, tears streaming out of her eyes. “Mate, there was only so much you could do. You were a prisoner, too. I can guess you were chained up too, so what more do you think you could do?”

“I wouldn’t let them touch me! I fought them off, so they went to the other women who couldn’t fight! Maybe I should have let them use me and not them!” Kat yelled as knelt down and cried.

Elder Wise beat me to Kat. He knelt down and pulled Kat’s chin up. “You are not to blame for anything, do you hear me? You helped us know where to look for them. I know you sent messages to us to check the pack using your familiar. I almost had a heart attack when a tiger cub showed up and dropped a message off.”

A tiger cub?

This I need to see.

“Thank you, Elder Wise. I just wish I could have done more,” Kat sadly said as I pulled her in my arms.

“I would love for all the Elders whose mates were kidnapped to be here when he comes in. And, he will come in or I will go and get him,” I stated, my head still wrapped around Kat's tiger cub familiar. I was surprised but I shouldn't have been. My mate was quirky, different than anyone else, and I loved it.

“No problem. We would love to be here, too. I will contact the other Elder’s, Royal Alpha King,” Alpha Snider commented as he shook my hand and bowed.

“How about you call us Royal King when we are in court and Sonny when we aren’t, okay?” Sonny asks as he smiles at the Elders, causing every one of the Elders to smile, too.

“Thank you, Sonny,” Elder Wise said as he shook my hand, too.

“It’s done, Sonny. I’ve summoned him with Ares’ help. The idiot didn’t want to submit to a woman. I will show him how to submit when he gets here, but he said he will be here in two days,” Windy told me, a grimace on her face.
