Chapter 110 - I. Don't. Want. You.
Recap
The Elder nodded his head, mouthing a thank you. “With the money, he has stolen from this pack he was able to help pay for testing on pack members. He explained to everyone that he needed to make sure they were healthy but he was finding pack members who he thought would be better for his project of adding an army of skinwalkers and brujas. The blacker the witch the better. It states, ’Anyone with the blood type of A positive was a good candidate to be turned, saying they lasted longer than the rest.” He shuddered and took his seat.
“I was helping my cause!” He yelled, realizing what he said and stuffing his hand in his mouth.
Oops.
Sonny’s POV
“I already knew you were a traitor of this pack. Not only have stolen pack money but you have stolen pack lives! And, for what? Your own selfishness?” I took a breath to calm down. “You call yourself a King? Kings don’t sacrifice their people or steal.” I shook my head.
“Take him back into his cell, Alpha Blaine, please and thank you.” Windy held our dads’ eyes for a second before our dad nodded and grabbed Dean, our mom following.
“I know the witnesses need to have their account written in the notes, so please, Elders, can you stay a little longer and listen to their testimony?” I asked, surprising all the Elders. I guess they weren’t used to a King saying please and thank you. It was a sad thought to think. Everyone should be treated with respect.
“No, problem, Royal King. We were going to stay and listen to the first day of court. We have heard great things about you and wanted to see how you handled being the Royal King.” Elder Wise smiled at me, the rest of the Elders following suit.
“Thank you.”
We called up each witness, noticing they were more relaxed once Dean was out of the room. I knew Kat was searching their minds for any spell that may have been hidden by a black witch. I knew the witnesses were scared of Dean but the stuff coming out of their mouths shocked me. Not only had Dean threatened their lives into doing his dirty work but he also threatened the females if they didn’t have sex with him and his guards. I had to breathe deeply to keep myself from throwing up in my mouth.
“Thank you, ladies,” my mate softly said. “I would really love to have you helping me. I need a hairdresser, a stylist and a secretary, if you want to help please let me know.”
“Sorry, Sonny. I can’t stand how they were treated and I will need the help. I’ll make sure they are spell free everyday, okay,” my mate mind-linked me, causing my heart to soar with her kindness. I nodded my head and smiled at her.
I looked up and saw the women with happy smiles on their faces and knew I had made the right decision to agree with Kat. I was worried but I would have been no matter what. As long as she was happy I didn’t care.
Windy made a sound of a whip hitting through the mind-link. “You are so whipped, but I’m happy for you two.”
“And you’re not just as whipped as we are?” Kat asked, laughing at Windy as she nodded her head.
I was happy my mate and my sister were getting along. I knew Kat was strong. I had a feeling she could fight for herself too, hearing ‘of course’ in my mind. My sister was going to corrupt my poor mate. And, of course, I heard chuckling coming from my beautiful mate.
“Thank you, ladies,” I finally said, a little embarrassed it had taken me a while to say anything to them. The ladies bowed low and left the hall.
“Please bring in Darla, guards. The guards bowed and left with my mom to get the she-bitch, Windy’s words. I guess we will see how much of it applies to her. I had a feeling she would be the biggest one out of the bunch.
The guards walked in and shuddered as my mom dragged Darla into the hall and pushed her down in her seat, hard, making sure she chained Darla to the table and chair.
My dad, Zane, walked in next dragging Dean back into the room as everyone quieted down. He chained up Dean to another table as tightly as he could, a small smile on his face. He bowed to me and sat down with my mom and other dad.
The man, Darla had a crush on, walked into the hall behind us, a plan we had already set. He sat next to Darla and rubbed his finger down her arm and murmured something in her ear I couldn’t hear.
A loud growl startled everyone except me or my family. A wide grin was threatening to spread across my face. I watched as Michael put an arm around her shoulder. I could hear his thoughts. He wanted to shudder and push her away from himself. He couldn’t stand to touch her and wanted a shower after this was over. I felt bad about him having to touch her, but it was his idea and not mine to help us.
Another loud growl got away from Dean, his eyes flashing to his wolf. “Michael, you can leave and take a shower if you need to. I know you can stand her. Thank you for your help.”
Michael immediately stood up and shuddered. “Where are you going, babe. I thought you were going to help me get out of here,” Darla whispered, not knowing we could all hear her, my mate helping with boosting the sound of her voice.
Dean growled. “Quit calling him babe, you idiot!”
“I’m not an idiot!” She screeched, causing us to wince with the noise. “You didn’t want me, so I can do what I want!”
“Who would want a mate like you? All you ever do is complain and hit on other men!” Dean yelled as he tried to pound his hand on the desk.
“At least I didn’t sleep with others, unlike you. Now, who’s the idiot!” She screeched out.
I stood up. “You are both idiots! I needed to prove your mates. I didn’t know it was going to be this easy.” I sat down and rolled my eyes, nodding towards Dean who was sitting in shock. “Oh, and, Darla?” I waited for her to look at me. “Michael can’t stand you - which is why he volunteered to help.”
“You’re lying!”
Michael must have waited outside. He walked back into the room and stared at Darla, a look of disbelief on his face. “I. Can’t. Stand. You!” He emphasized each word. “You always told your friends how you wanted your cousin as your mate. You said, ‘he would be easy to dominate since he wasn’t a wolf.’ I guess the laughs on you.” Michael walked back outside, laughing as he walked away.
“Can someone please take this ‘man’ back to his cell?” I asked as both of my dads’ got up along with two guards, guards I didn’t recognize. “Stop!
