From Here to Ecstasy

Chapter 106 - Silver Poisoned

Recap

I spelled my mate even more than I had. I wanted him to be immune to any poisons he may be in contact with. I was surprised to realize he copied the spell from me and spelled me more than I had been.

“Good to see your mate protecting you even more. He catches on quickly. Af if he were born a werewolf. Good job, Ares,” Sonny praised, a small smile on his face.

“Incoming,” I said calmly as my mate and Sonny ducked and I chuckled at them.

Windy’s POV

“I see my daughter was the only one who knew we were coming,” my mom commented, laughing at the boys as they rose back up from the floor.

I smirked at them and helped Ares up, knowing he wanted to hide from my parents. “Mom, this is my mate Ares.” Ares bowed at my mom and my dads who were staring at him in intimation. “Cut is out, dads’. He’s a good man and you’re only making me angry.” I huffed at them and looked up, seeing them scruff up the toes of their boot.

My mom gave them an angry look, but she was just as guilty as the rest of them. I knew she was reading my mind when she huffed. “I’m sorry, Ares. We are hard on our children’s mates-”

“-Yeah, if they are male. You don’t bother the female mates,” I cut in, knowing my mm wasn’t going to be happy with me cutting her off. I shrugged my shoulders and looked in the eyes, not thinking about me being the Royal Beta. When she bowed her head I realized I was using my Beta voice.

I bowed my head to my parents and apologized to them. I didn’t mean to use my rank to put my parents in their place and I felt bad about it. I wasn’t sure if it was me or Star.

Oh, it was me. My bad,” Star commented as we laughed at her words.

After a few minutes my dads’ walked over to Ares and pulled him into a bro hug, slapping his back a few times. “Good to have you in the family,” both my dads’ said at the same time as I shook my head at them and pulled Ares to me.

“Thanks. I’m very happy to have Windy as my mate. I always wanted to have a mate as the other wolves had, but I was only a human. The Moon Goddess talked to me to hold on, to keep myself pure for my mate - which confused the hell out of me at the time.”

“Wait! Did you say the Moon Goddess talked to when you were human?” My mom asked Ares.

I watched as Ares nodded his head. “I wasn’t sure who it was until I met the Moon Goddess today and she started speaking. I was gobsmacked when I heard her voice today, but I know she only did it to help me with my mate and I’m thankful she did.”

“Well, we need to go for a fitting of our vestments. Make yourself at home. If you want to help out with a truth spell for anyone who comes into the castle doors it would be greatly appreciated. We need to go. Oh, and I will meet my mate today. If you can help keep her safe I would appreciate it,” Sonny explained as he disappeared.

My mom looked at me for the answer to her question. “Our grandmother let it slip about Sonny meeting his mate today.” I laughed. “She didn’t think we would hear her and when she looked up at us she said, ‘damn werewolf hearing.’

We all had a good laugh at what I repeated. I knew we needed to go get ready, so I hugged my parents and disappeared with my mate, but before we got into our room I threw us into a veil of invisibility and hid our scents, Ares looking at me in question.

I nodded my head at him and pointed to the people in our room, the people who stinking up our room with silver spray. It was everywhere - which is why they were in protective clothing. I dropped the veil and growled as loud as I could as I made sure the door couldn’t be opened nor the windows.

I pulled Ares with me and let him know he spelled against silver. “Speak!” I yelled in my Beta voice. “By the Goddess, you better say something.” I tilted my head and walked up to one of the people in their suites. “Or, I will pull this person’s mask off.”

“I don’t know what you want us to say. You caught us in your room spraying cleaning sprays in the room. We were only trying to air out the silver from this room,” She paused. “And, how are you able to stand the silver in your room?

I chuckled darkly, not answering her question and making sure I truth spelled the lot of them. “You were in here trying to clear the air with silver?” I asked as I walked over to her and pulled the spray in her hand away from her. I knew my mom was behind her. “I wonder what this will do to you if I pull your mask off? How about we see what it can do.”

“No, please. It’s silver. You will kill me if you do,” the woman pleaded for her life, not knowing I had already cleared the air.

I reached over and pulled her hood off as I sprayed the silver on her arm. “So, how does it feel to have poison in your system? You were willing to poison me with the same substance. Who put you up to your devious plans?”

“Alpha Dean told us we had to or he would kick out of the Royal Pack,” the woman quickly said as she bowed her head in shame.

I healed her arm, pulling all the silver out of her system. I wasn’t cruel. I didn’t want to be cruel. “Are you willing to speak up at his trial today? Are any of you willing to speak up at his trail?”

I looked around me as they all said yes, catching two of them shaking their head no. I walked over to them, pulling their masks off as soon as I got to them. “Really? You two are going to willing to speak out against Dean at his trial?” Again, the two shake their heads no.

The door to my room opened as I spelled my guard against the silver on the two men I wanted him to take to the cells as I followed. I didn’t want him hurt. I nodded my head to him as he walked into our room.

“You two men are to walk to the cells! You will not speak, you will not try to run away! I don’t care if someone takes you off our lands, you will come right back, you will stay until we come get you from your cells! You will be brought to the court one of my dads’. You won’t give him any problem!” I nodded at my guard and we followed him to the cells as my mom picked up all the bottles and the silver, making sure she got their clothing. I knew she would take care of the women.

We walked into the cells and headed to a cell away from Dean. They were each locked into a cell and spelled against leaving or talking. When we were done I teleported all of us into our room.

“Woah,” my guard said as he held his head.

“Sorry. Please do not tell anyone I can teleport,” I told him as he nodded his head with a smile on his lips.

“You have nothing to worry about. I take my job seriously and I won’t tell anyone. It’s not their business anyway.”

I smiled at him and shook his hand before he turned to the door and walked out, his head high. “I like him.”

“And, he was telling the truth. I made sure he was under a truth spell,” my mate explained to me as a huge smile lit up his face.

I couldn’t believe how much my mate was picking quickly. He amazed me more everyday. My heart fluttered when smiled or smirked at me. But, when he was making love to me or fucked me my heart pounded louder than anything. He was perfect for me and I couldn’t wait to see what else he was capable of.

“I love you, Ares,” I breathed out, turning towards him. His face was lit up with a smile.

He looked into my eyes. “And, I love you more.” He walked over to me and pulled me into his arms, kissing me as if I was going to disappear. Our kiss was getting heated. I knew we didn’t have much time to get ready.

Someone cleared their throat loudly, making Ares and I to jump apart. I was so into the kiss I didn’t notice anyone in the room.

“I brought my tailor to help you two get ready. We have court in thirty-minutes and I rather not spend them watching my sister, my twin, suck face with her mate. I didn’t know if you were going to strip each other out of their clothes and I didn’t want to watch you two go at it,” I heard Sonny say as a smirk appeared on his face.

“Just wait until you meet your mate, you will be the same way,” I stated, a blush coating my face.

“Uh-huh, right,” he stated mockingly.
